I enjoyed watching out LB's, I am very happy knowing they will be here for a long time and will only get better. Dixon is an absolute monster who refuses to go down. I hope he develops into a full time back. He would be at the head of a power running game. We can only hope
The Bad, no pressure.....NONE. Suggs is old and it isn't fair to expect him to be the main guy going for pressure. Same for Doom. Judon seemed to penetrate but they did not play him enough in my opinion. I need to see what Carl Davis when healthy is going to be able to do (when we first drafted him he seemed to be forcing his way into the backfield like some sort of man child) need to see that because Williams may not be here considering Timmy J is younger and may be asked to fill that spot (another guy who kind of trailed off considering the sacks he had at the beginning of the year) and possibly Pierce.
The Ugly, Jay Ajayi....I know I mentioned before that I like Dixon a lot. However during the draft a couple years ago we had many chances to draft Jay and we did not...He was originally going to be a 3rd round pick but he had a concern due to his knee.....As this game has taught us, a great RB can change the game and make plays happen for the QB by forcing the defense to come closer....feeding Jay would have helped Flacco tremendously in a year that both he and the WR's were inconsistent.
Super Ugly, we rely too much on Jimmy Smith. We need to find him some help because he seems to be missing in action a lot during the end of the year. It sucks because he's clearly the best player we have on D. T-Young is great but we need another DB to help. It was an accident of an injury but once again it's just too much sometimes. Could we consider moving him towards the back of the field? It seems a lot of you do not like Webb too much, however I did. Could you see Jimmy next to Weddle? ehh...
on to the draft

THEY ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE. ANDWELETEMOFFTHE HOOK
Can someone tell me roughly where we sit pick wise at the moment?
I expect the timing between Flacco and Perriman to improve now that they will have an offseason together. That includes Mike Wallace as well.

You'll be waiting forever lol
Flacco seemed to get better throughout the year...
he did come off an ACL injury
25 minutes ago, BmoreBird22 said:Like you said, it was the all time worst play call (and like Harbs said). Why didn't he call a run? I don't know; he's not that bright?
I think they wanted to put the Eagles away more than anything and a pass was the easiest way to do that.
I don't think that was necessarily an indictment against the running game as much as it was just an extremely aggressive call, something Joe has been asking for for much of the season.
And let's be honest here- the play call wasn't actually horrible. Flacco starting down SSS and not recognizing the MLB had not moved was a far bigger issue than the play call. He had Moore outside one on one and Waller was coming open over the middle if he held the ball a second longer. Honestly, SSS was the last person he should have thrown to. Carroll was pretty close in, safety was breaking downhill, and Hicks was right there reading Flacco the entire way.
yea that pass was HORRIBLE lol
Mosley or Orr.....
Timmy J a close 3rd...
If Suggs retires now then its Weddle for the time that he is here......wait and see what Tavon becomes.
good god what a monster OLB or DE could do for this defense......find him the the draft PLEASE and pair him with Judon
my biggest issue with this current offense isn't the run to throw ratio, it's the penalties ESPECIALLY after a decent to nice run....
My original point about a running game for both Rodgers and Brady still stands, either you have a run game or an incredible receiving threat that you literally have to go back years to find.
1 hour ago, usmccharles said:Yea I agree, if he stays healthy I definitely think he can put up numbers for us and be an important part of this offense. but theres that word....IF
until the draft, he is all we got. this offseason is going to be very interesting
our run game is still lacking...
the injury bug strikes Jimmy again....damn it
39 minutes ago, usmccharles said:I wish a certain member was still posting, I would love to see him explode with excitement at this point. "best slot receiver in the NFL" lol
lol I did not say all that. All I know is that for US he is a pretty good player once he finds himself on the field. First game back to have a run like that? Who knows how good he could really be for us, I just hope that the injuries are behind him. If Camp can play and come up with plays like that and like he has in the very small sample size, then he could be very instrumental during the period where Steve Smith retires.

The other two guys... not so much.
2011 Packers that won the SB:
27th in the league in rushing yards, 26th in rushing attempts, 26th in YPA (3.9).
2014 Patriots that won the SB:
18th in rushing yards, 22nd in YPA (3.9)
The difference for those two guys primarily is how good their defense is. When they have strong defenses, they're usually SB contenders.
That's fair, with the exception of a good defense. Look how bad the Packers and Rodgers are doing with the WR's they have now. Rodgers had a young Greg Jennings, Jordy Nelson, Donald Driver, and James Jones. Those boys caught the ball (PERRIMAN I AM TALKING TO YOU) lol
4 hours ago, January J said:Having the most attempts in the league sure helps. He also has arguably more weapons than he's ever had. Still nice to finally break that 4k barrier that's eluded him for quite some time. It should happen on Christmas barring any unforeseen injury. I'd like to see him get to atleast 23 TDs too...
A healthy Ray Rice was better than all his receivers.....the run game has and always will be a QB's greatest weapon. Ask Aaron Rodgers and Brady how important the run game has been for them. The best year with Flacco at QB was with Justin F having a career year with a run game and perhaps maybe less weapons than we have today
On 12/19/2016 at 3:11 PM, usmccharles said:He had a nice run
I remember him fair catching a punt
Moore looked lost to me out there as he ran right into contact instead of hitting a hole
YES HE DID, HE MAKES PLAYS AS LONG AS HE IS HEALTHY
lmao....you don't need to see this guy play 3 years to know he is pretty good
Flacco throwing that pick was painful but it is not what almost cost us the game, what almost cost us the game was the fact that our #1 ranked defense could no stop ANYONE coming out of that backfield. We scored 27 which should have been more than enough to put those guys away easily. Our defense failed us and then came up big with that tip by Mosley.
I am not putting this on Flacco, could he have played better? Sure he could have, but our defense COULD have at lease shown up yesterday
Will you look at that run he had.....
like I said, if healthy he's a good player
20 hours ago, I*Bleed*Purple said:I wish Sergio Kindle could have played too. But wishes don't make football players. Camp is soft. And a waste of a roster spot.
look at this ball of positivity lol
John should be in a warm seat, does not have to be hot.
Low key, all of these issues wouldn't be as big if Ray Rice was still Ray Rice and we had him here. His career was not suppose to take the freak turn it did (self inflicted)
Not having Ray Rice and having to cut him and the money it cost us really hurt.
10 minutes ago, hereweare said:I can't imagine the things that would be said about Joe if he threw 3 picks while the team had 240 rushing yards... lol
must be nice to literally have one guy run over an entire defense and get 3TDS, not to mention add some receiving yards from the backfield....imagine that
33 minutes ago, usmccharles said:I just don't get how 14 touches can make a wr be considered a 'chain mover.' I guess if we are being literal, then yes. At this point id rather see Juice just get more touches
You may not see it, Camp can play. I just wish he was actually healthy enough to actually matter. He can run routes and has good hands, even if it was a small sample size.
