Third and 8, pass complete to Pitta, good for 6 yards. Third and 3, 30 yard pass to Pitta incomplete. Another boring season of Raven offense. smh

Lets give Marty a chance, our offense did look better with him calling the shots. An offseason to put in what he wants and get the guys to buy in should net us some results. It will either stay the same or improve, our O-Line is only going to get stronger with a healthy Yanda and Alex Lewis.

Yea, not too many teams have a Bell or a Brown, let alone both.  Is there any other team that has both?  Since the Steelers won their last SB, they have one playoff win.....yea, sign me up:mellow:

Your right, Suggs and Doom arent JJ Watt, you know why?  Watt played a whopping 3 games this year and most likely is never going to be the same again with all the injuries stacking up on him.

How many other teams dont have AP, Beckham, Brady, Sherman, Chancellor, Gronk (hurt again), Kuechly,

You act like having Tucker as an elite player is bad, who missed one FG because it was blocked.  He is worth more points than a lot WRs but everyone wants that sexy player, like all the ones you listed.

Your post is useless, just stating all the good players around the league that we dont have proves nothing, what is this Madden? Not every team has elite players, clearly.  When we won our SB, did we have any elite players? You could throw rice up at the top of the list, but the reason we won was because we were a well balanced team on both sides of the ball.  The word elite is so overplayed and is meaningless.

What is your definition of elite anyways?  AJ green is a top WR yes, how many playoff wins does he have? How many does Watt and AP have?

    My point exactly, thank you

The biggest reason for not making the playoffs is a lack of elite playmakers like Leveon Bell and Antonio Brown .

We simply don't have that type of talent.

Suggs and Doom are done and are no JJ Watt, our running backs are not Adrian Peterson ,our receivers are not Beckham ,Joe is not Tom Brady

our corners are not Richard Sherman nor are our safeties Cam Chancellor . Our tight ends are not Gronk and our linebackers are not

    Luke Kuechly .

We do not have any elite talent except at kicker in Justin Tucker. Yanda was elite at one time but he is getting old too and is still great.

Stanley and Mosley could end up elite. Mosley is getting close.

way to name all the best players as if that is why we lost games this year.....

Picking up Ronnie last offseason was a no-brainer. We have him, but we also have other problems to asses. Starting with WR and Defense. I want to see this team be aggressive this offseason.

I am curious if the issues at WR would be as large if both Camp and Maxx were healthy. We drafted Maxx very high last year with expectations that at some point he takes over as our #1 TE and a real receiving threat. That is not a shot at Pitta, but it seemed to me as though Maxx could block better in the run game already. Maxx and Boyle if they continue to progress and play to the potential that we have seen in incredibly small sample sizes then I think we are going to have a much better looking offense next year. 2 TE sets both of which can catch and block.,

If 3rd round picks were expected to be proud bowl players they would not have lasted until the 3rd.  I'm sure it stings but Stanley looks like a pro bowler player and more than worth the pick he got.  If the draft were reheld today he does not make it to 6 and that's the best thing one can say about him.

To the overall point remember a draft is considered successful if you can get 3 starters out of it and the Ravens already seem to have before the players they are developing get a chance to show what they have so last draft might go down as one of the greatest drafts in this teams history despite what people thought at the time.

Stanley, T-Young, Judon, Lewis, and maybe Dixon so far.

In fairness, by NFL standards, we were quite healthy, particularly towards the end of the year.

As is typical, I think it depends on WHO is healthy more than HOW MANY are healthy. If Joe's not healthy, nothing matters, and guys like Weddle and Smith are vital to the defense.

But at the end of the day, injuries to stars happen to most teams during the year, and its important to have quality depth to make up for it. And we are lacking in certain areas there.

When Jimmy went down a couple times it was glaring just how weak our pass rush really was.

I agree with you though, we have been much healthier this season

Looking at pure abilities alone. QBs I would rather have than Joe are: Brady, Brees, Rodgers, Newton, Luck, Carr, Ben, Wilson, and perhaps even Winston.

Winston, Wilson, Newton, and Luck? Really? lmao

  8. The real issues we have are on the defensive side of the ball if you ask me.

We have a lot of young guys that seem to be making plays and creating turnovers. We did not get to the QB the way we should have. Judon I enjoyed and expect growth from. We will see what happens when Carl Davis comes back healthy and what that is going to mean for Jernigan and Pierce. One of these guys needs to step up and I thought twice in Timmys career that he was going to be the guy. The first time when Ngata went down and the 2nd time this year when he started hot.

As for the offense it was clear to me that the playcalling and the routes left much to be desired. We abandoned the run too many times and it felt as thought the big run plays all came thanks to a holding penalty. Flacco I expect to be better and now that he is going to actually be throwing to the young guys we should expect some reasonable improvements with the WR's especially Perriman. I thought Wallace played well and made some big plays this year. Dink and Dunk is not Flacco at all, we need to run the ball much better to set up play action. Dixon will be coming into his second year and to me the clear cut starter next year. We need to hope for some health on the OL. Alex Lewis looked good, let's hope he continues to grow.

When Joe plays at 2010-12,14 level yea he merits his contract. Even when he has a poop year like this year he still will command $20 million plus a year. It just sucks franchises must pay every stable QB elite money. Flacco is a "he'll go as far as his environment allows him" QB. If Flacco isn't proped up with a great line. Good Running game and receivers then he plays like a 20td/ 15-20 interception QB. He still makes dumb decision regardless of any of this too though lol like the pick against the Eaglea or the double zone pick against the Bengals

2012 team stats. offense was 16th overall and the defense was 17th overall. When he makes that throw you get him a guy who can catch it (Boldin)

our rushing attack that year was just outside the top 10 as well as Ray Rice started to struggle towards the end

I find it funny that Pitta and Flacco do not see a O,C, change. I would not want one either, they might want those two too earn their money. Pittas nickname should be "stop short" for not knowing where the 1st down marker is and with Flaccos "I dont care either way" attitude. I am starting to think Ray Lewis was right when he said Joe plays with no passion. He is like, oops oh well another interception in the red zone. Man this season irritated me so much.

Sorry for the rant  but i do feel better now that i have gotten it out.. lol

He wasn't doubting his passion when he rode his back to the Superbowl. None of this is new, he does not show much emotion and brushes off INT's and bad plays and moves on. Why after all these years do we all of a sudden have an issue with who he's always shown us he was.

Was it because of the contact? bc since then the team has gone through a plethora of injures and departures. Since 2012 we have yet to replace Matt Birk or find a STARTING RB that will be here more than a year.

You know you may actually be right on the money. Flacco loves football without question but he really doesn't let an INT or 5 bother him at all no matter if that INT cost us the game or the season. He is Joe Cool remember? But he's also January Joe but we haven't seen January lately have we so how can we really tell?

Got to make it to January to see January Joe

Aiken was a product of being the only healthy body on the field. Obviously if you are the only guy playing you are going to get targeted. Heck, we turned Kelley Washington into a cult hero for a season too. Jacoby Jones had a really good season here.

And look at what Aiken reverted back to this season. Did you see any real progression out of Perriman, Chris Moore, or Darren Waller?

What was a big issue this year for our wideouts? Not getting separation....again. So to me, that's all on technique. You are seeing progress I am not. The two biggest contributors to the wideout position were free agents (Smith and Wallace) not guys we drafted. I think all of our Wideouts should spend a season getting coached by Dennis Pitta and learn how to work free in zone coverage. That guy is a master at his craft.

Perriman scored all of his tds later in the season and had his biggest games in the 2nd half of the season. That's progression for a guy who has no real experience playing with Joe who DOESN'T throw in the offseason to his guys unless he has to. Waller only had 12 targets, at times I questioned the game planning more than the actual talent we have.

  13. I've seen enough to know that since the contract we've asked him to do more with less...that being said, after seeing what happened this year HE HAS TO ENTER THE HYPERBOLIC TIME CHAMBER WITH PERRIMAN and just throw the ball to him ALL OFF SEASON.

By the way, I think Perriman can run even faster. Something tells me he has one more gear that being in better shape now with a year under his belt will help.

Megatron lost his passion for the game. I feel like Steve is choosing to retire just because everyone expects him to at his age but he still has some left in the tank. Maybe he doesn't believe he has another year left in him but to be honest he still sounds undecided.

Mega came into the league to such a bad team.....he was part of that team that almost lost all their games that year....that takes a toll on you when you include all the hits he took from the ball being forced his way every other play

  15. When I was a bit younger I looked up to him, we are the same height but he MADE it a point to make his presence felt on the field. To be able to be considered a #1 receiver at that height is something that speaks for itself.

My all time favorite WR and my all time favorite RB of all time both played their last games with us. (Ricky Williams)

I had hoped 2 years a go when we made the run against the Pats that we would go deep and give Smith a shot at winning.

I really think Garçon, or Vincent Jackson or Alshon Jeffery will be here next season who would you guys want the most of the three?

I love Alshon the most here and he is only 26.....Jackson is 33 and has had some injuries (dude is a monster when healthy) but how many times are we going to bring in those guys to be our #1? Garcon is 30 and probably a better fit for Flacco.

Guys, we did not lose the entire season last night. Last night was a valiant effort in many respects, facing the hottest team in the league in their home stadium and we were just 1 or 2 plays away from winning the game. If we are going to look at areas when we failed, it would be back to the 4 game losing streak which derailed our whole season. Credit to the team for battling back and making December games relevant and meaningful.

The offence improved mightily with Marty at the helm and our defence really struggled since the New England game.

Joe plays well in the big games. We know this. The problem with Joe is that he is woefully inconsistent especially in the regular season. We all harp on Joe because of this and it is patently obvious he only plays well when his juices gets stirred (i.e. big games on the road or when Ray Lewis called him out). Joe is who you want to have when you are in the playoffs, going on the road and playing in cold weather. To solve this, coaching needs to get under his skin and get him riled up / challenge him during the regular season and/or we need to establish a running game that can carry the load for the regular season. A failure to accomplish this will result in the same thing year on year: a struggle to make the playoffs.

    Or get a running game
