YOUR FAULT
I thought Ray was a bit off base.
Flacco never was the VOCAL SUPREME COBRA COMMANDER that Ray Lewis and to an extent Ed Reed was....It's just not his style at all.
That being said, I do question his leadership as it pertains to working with his WR during the offseason, other than that he is Joe Cool with me.
Maxx, Boyle, Waller.....we need to keep the first 2 and work Waller more.
Waller is really a WR.
Alot of this is going to fall on whether or not Carl Davis is a real thing.....I do not want to see Williams in anyway shape or form leave this team....Jernigan is here another year and I highly doubt we let him go.
I say pay Williams, Suggs and Doom are coming off soon especially Doom after all those injuries he's been having lately. I am more on the optimistic side of things, but if Carl Davis gives us what he gave us last year when he played like an absolute animal and looked to overtake Jernigan then I'd say we go with him rather than Williams IF Williams gets an incredible amount elsewhere. M. Pierce looks incredible out there at times out there as well.
Our offense looks like it's going to be a problem soon....once Boyle comes back who was a surprise last year and Maxx finally grows into the position and gets healthy we are going to be fine.
Pitta does not really block, Maxx and Boyle can in my opinion.
All we need is some patience, this dude is looking better and better as the season goes. On our current squad, with the exception of maybe Steve Smith nobody else is making a play like that on our current WR core or past WR core...PERIOD. None have the body AND the wheels he has to get there....we just need to hope he can take it even further than this.
Just like his father, who is going to be apart of this process and a proven vet in a league that was hard on WR's. Let's have faith boys, we sit on top of our division now.
no our defense that's been consistent for 9 weeks is completely fake
51 minutes ago, RaRaRavens said:Our defense is capable of keeping our game with the Cowboys close, but I still don't see us winning, because Joe Flacco and the offense.
It would not be fair to ask our defense to shut out the best O-line in the league and to carry our team to yet another win. Their job is to keep the game close enough and I have no doubt they are able to do it.
But then Flacco will trot on to the field for 3 icky-dicky plays, probably dump the ball off to closest player who'll get 2 yards, and then skip back to the sidelines again with that smug smirk on his face like he just won us the SB.
So unless we can unleash West&co, it's going to be a looong game for us Sunday. And considering both our starting Gs are hurt, it won't be easy to find much running room.
way to think positive lmao

JOE IS NOT SUPPOSE TO MISS A SINGLE THROW EVER according to some on the boards....
Yea well we had KO and he got an offer from OAK that he could not refuse.....
KO and Stanley on one side would have been great
Perriman is starting to look more and more confident as the season continues, that was one hell of an adjustment he made on that ball.
I like the fact that it seems the playcalls are trying to take advantage of the speed we have on offense and its showing with a couple of big YAC plays this game.
With Camp back, and alittle more health I can see us really finishing STRONG this year. Flacco will continue to improve, it's clear there are things happening between the ears with him. I saw in this game the velocity come back in his throws, he stayed in the pocket and stepped in on some key throws. That rollout to Steve Smith was a lazer and reminded me of his early years dumping passes off like that to Mason.

did a fact check, you are 100% correct.

What about the freakish effort by our Oline? and Anquan freak effort? No Flacco reaped all the reward. Flacco did well, but that wasn't only him.
ravens gambled by not paying him before the season

Being on a crap 4-12 team and a rotation of poor quarterbacks is even worse than missing a training camp when it comes to production. And he runs a 4.71 mind you! Slow as all hell for a receiver but guess what? He's a football player through and through and elapses 1000 yards with 8 tds as a rook. Perriman has no excuse besides just not being that good.
He also played along side another HOF receiver. I get your point though, this whole season if very frustrating. The offense is not what we had envisioned, from protection to Flacco's play.
Joe F looks like he's gone backwards, I had hoped he would work on mechanics alot more and possibly get together with his receivers and develop chemistry.

You made some good points, but if he has played so well Joe would feel more comfortable and that hasn't been the case since he always has pressure in his face and is throwing off his back foot. Direct impact of the line not doing their job well.
On the positive side, if the D keeps playing like that. The O just needs to do a bit better and we should get on a roll. Hopefully we destroy the Browns and get the offense hitting on a few more cilinders going forward
exactly, once that run game gets going..........everything else will fall into place quickly
During the game they mentioned Marty has been encouraging Flacco to step into his throws more....I am glad for some odd reason that they know what Joe F is doing and they are trying to correct it
I loved what I saw from the defense
Good play calling Dean Pees.....

I would love to see Flacco with alittle more time back there and all his guys healthy. Maxx and Camp included.
O-line is going to be healthier, I think we can start to see now some more consistent protection back like we saw the first couple of weeks. the difference will be the play calling and WR's stepping up and making those big plays..
I'm talking to you Perriman and Moore.....I am still rooting for you guys even if it means I sound like a homer....

i said this, but apparently I am speaking Chinese and I am a homer.

But still keep Flacco. #Logic.
let's get rid of Flacco and replace him with?
1 hour ago, Sami84 said:So bascially what you're saying is that because of the 2012 post season it is IMPOSSIBLE to consider those QBS you mentioned better value for money.
right.
homer central..no point discussing.
no because I was VERY clear that outside that run he has been very good in the playoffs but you know, I say potatoes and you say how high. You keep on crying about Flacco this and Flacco that as if I said he stays completely clear of any blame.
That being said, it makes absolutely no, NO NO NO NO SENSE to have not signed him. Unless you really want to start over, we have a starting QB that has proven time and time again to be very good in the playoffs. We have no consistency from Flacco, and that includes coaching on the offensive side of the ball. What you and many others do not want to understand or acknowledge is the fact that we have had major turnover at the OC spot. What form of consistency could you every hope for when Flacco and this offense completely change its identity every year?
It went from Cam developing with Flacco, which he did by running the ball and playing uptempo shotgun/bunch formations until we became too stagnant on offense. Then enter Caldwell, took over what Cam had done and did a bit better that same year and we won the chip. What happened the very next year? Everyone left on the offense, Ray Rice never returned to form with his hip injury and Caldwell leaves for a gig over in Detroit.
Enter the next year, Kubiak....best of Flacco and what we HAD on offense. Did well in the playoffs and beat the Steelers and almost take the Pats out again in their house. Why did we lose? Was it that pass to Torrey or the fact we had no NO way of stopping the same play from happening to our CB's who to be fair were forced to start thanks to all the injuries we had that year.
Instead of building the next year into an even better offense Kubiak left....are you and I watching the same games? Flacco is not and will never be Manning who by the way had the SAME OC for over 8 years. Tom Moore was with Indi for 10 years and developed that playbook with Manning.
these are all facts and do not change in anyway the fact that Flacco still misses throws no matter who the OC is. Again, some of the blame falls on him but not all and bringing up the contract is pointless because it has nothing to do with Doom and Suggs being injured or Reed and Lewis leaving the team and getting old.

What about the games vs the texans in 2011? what about his meh numbers in the playoff games aside from those you mentioned (2008,2009,2010 etc)? he's shown that hes a 60/40 guy...60% of his games will be below average.
Oh and regular seasons count for something too. A football game is a football game.. he's the most inconsistant QB i've ever watched that's been given this much cash. Outside of Jay cutler there is NO one in the league who is less value for money.
Tell that to Phill Rivers and Matt Ryan who light it up every year and for what? You want those stats for our QB so bad you fail to realize those are not the QB's winning championships, period. Flacco deserves to be critiqued, I am not saying he is perfect. You are off base to say he is being paid to much when roughly 65% of his contract is guaranteed, in comparison Kirk Cousin yearly vs Flacco makes 19.9 to Flaccos 22.1 AND Cousins is 100 percent guaranteed and what has he EVER done or will do?
Carson Palmer? 21.0
Andrew Luck who has done NOTHING 24.5
Tannehill? 19.2
Tyrod Taylor our boy gets 18.
again, Flacco is not clear of issues....he has PLENTY but I'll take him any day of the week (as long as it's in the playoffs lol) over those guys easily and that includes R. Wilson who also makes 21.9 smh

I thought Joe looked great out there, his pocket awareness out of nowhere went up and the ball was leaving his hands with velocity. He was stepping into throws again.
I thought we did well and had big plays, we are not going to win games when we had 13 penalties for over 120 yards....too many times the offensive line has been called for flags that bring us back....I am happy with what I saw from Flacco, Wallace, Smith, and the run game today going forward.
