  1. I think people forget how bad we where when we got all those high draft picks like Ogden and a 2nd 1st rounder for Lewis. And when we got Suggs/Jamal Lewis. We don't suck enough lol.....we just need to be patient and consistent like we always have. The corner stones are there...Mosely, Williams, and now on the offensive side of the ball with Maxx Williams...patience
  2. As great as all those players are, football unlike maybe bball is so dependent on so many players.....Watt vs. Carl Davis, Jernigan, and Mosley...those 3 cover so much compared to him
  3. These things against him pretty much blew up on draft day, teams however apparently knew about this already. Do you think maybe he fessed up because it was going to continuely haunt him? Or did he do it only because he was safe
  4. The whole NCAA and college relationships with certain athletes bothers me. On one hand I can understand a coach helping out the kids, Arian Foster and his teammates went to bed hungry and he mentioned calling the coach and warning him they may do something stupid for food. Coach drove up in his new Lexus and got them all tacos. I remember seeing an interview and that's how he said it lol. Somebody hacked his account apparently and leaked a 300 dollar bill that his mother needed the coaches to pay... I pulled this from Espn "The NCAA determined that Tunsil improperly used three loaner cars without paying during a six-month period, received two nights of lodging at a local home, accepted an airline ticket purchased by a friend of a teammate and used a rental car for one day without paying. The NCAA also alleged that Tunsil received an interest-free, four-month loan to make a $3,000 down payment for a used car." They were going to get this kid, he fessed up earlier. Reference what happened to Reggie Bush. I'm not against the kids receiving help, it's just that it's illegal because of what the NCAA says and they get penalized...as does the school. Sucks on both sides to be honest, but it is what it is....I can't get mad at him for that, they were all going down. I guess this being his first shot at making big money and losing out on it scared him, it's a bad situation and hope the coaches come out of this....the NCAA needs to go, this whole we can't take care of players and it's all about the academics is NONSENSE.
  5. I will never defend the schools for what they do and how they get their players. I think the whole NCAA is a joke to begin with, Tunsil broke the rules and someone leaked it out. He then opted to tell the truth, something nobody ever does under this "no snitching". First of all, thats a rule for the streets and dudes who run them....not a kid who plays football. He was in the wrong, and it seems like he knew someone was going to continue to leak out info on him so he did what he should have and said it himself before someone else did.
  6. That's fair to think
  7. see? we ended up with a HOF worthy OLB
  8. I usually don't reference what college experts say, it's their opinion at the end of the day and they have been WAY OFF AND WRONG plenty of times.....that being said, Stanley IS a better run blocker and we struggled running the ball. A successful running team helps every single aspect of the team. Defense stays off the field longer and Joe isn't asked to make something out of nothing with the talent he's had due to injury. The return of the play action long ball threat with all the returning players and empassis on being more athletic. All can be made possible with a line that can help the run game.... Stanley to me can offer that to us even if Tunsil can protect Flacco a bit better
  9. As much as I'd love to have Ramsey, we have no idea how good our draft is...correct me if I'm wrong but when we had Ed Reed he wasn't exactly the guy we really wanted.....and by we I mean the Ravens. He was actually low on our list......draft picks miss more often then not, we get one every year.....relax and watch, what if Jalen ends up being ok and Stanley keeps Flacco's bombs falling with all the extra time he gives Joe? You wouldn't like that? Or the return of a dominating run game? Keeping the defense off the field and therefore making them more effective and fresh? Seriously, there are 2 ways to skin a cat.
  10. Well they did not say that they wouldn't take those 2, just not as high as everyone else.
  11. Top 5 offense? what?
  12. 2009 Draft, Paul Kruger in Round 2. He had 9 sacks his final year with us until we lost him to free agency, did not want to pay him. came up big for us during the SB run. Oher was round 1, he was solid for us and we asked him to move around which he did. Webb came in Round 3, he was great and has played BIG for us against the Pats....injuries..... 2010 Draft, took a shot at Kindle and missed...it happens....Arthur Jones and Pitta. Lost Jones to free agency, he was more a product of our system...Pitta injuries 2011 Draft Jimmy Smith and Torrey Smith...enough said....Pernell came off the board in round 5. he had 7.5 sacks for us last year with us....free agency. 2012 Weak, but it produced KO for us in round 2. free agency as well. Upshaw did some dirty work 2013 Elam and B-Williams....Elam was good not great first year and showed promise....fell off badly and was set on having a good year, coaches felt he was focused and lost him for the year due to injury....do you like your FB who does everything on the field? yea he came in this draft too 2014 CJ Mosley, peep my avi. Timmy J is solid, had a down year but we should expect a lot more from him. filled in for Ngata as a rookie. T- Brooks is a wait and see, Gilmore is solid and is only going to look better because of the 2015 draft. Camp is here too 2015 Maxx Williams looks like the future at TE for us. TE's don't produce the their first year in the league. Carl Davis and Z-Smith I don't see what people refuse to see, since we have won the superbowl we have been rebuilding, there are only 2 or 3 players left from that chip. and even then when we've made the playoffs we've competed. Harbs and the front office is not the issue. Be patient
  13. not really because initially Elam looked like a first rounder....he only had one bad year and then the injury. It's still too early
  14. with this RB it's clear to me now there is going to be major shake up this year, I know Justin F on paper is our starter...but he is older coming off injury, Lorenzo has not impressed or taken over sadly. I liked him, some of you like West but I don't see anything in West for it to be clear that he plays...That leaves T-Rich who has to show and prove and Allen, who I thought was good.
  15. I'm sorry did I miss something? B-Williams? CJ Mosley? and if it wasn't for health issues we are looking at both Jimmy Smith and Webb.....Didn't Ray Rice come during the Harb era?
  16. LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I just saw some tape on Judon....SON.....granted it was D-2 schools but wow....he looked like a man among boys. I can see why some of say Suggs....that's one hell of a comparison guys, hope yall right
  17. I can see it now.....a slow and methodical offense and BAM BOMBS FROM FLACCO.....we really, REALLY emphasized defense in this draft so far. Our D-line is going to be serious, not because of this draft but because of we already have. B-Williams and Jernigan/Carl Davis <----Did you guys forget how young these guys are? Doom and Suggs are old, you figure we are going to need another 2 guys to eventually step in as fulltime starters....after watching tape on some of these guys I really liked what I saw. I'm no scout, I don't know who's available if you are not a big name from a big school. Just watch the tape and get ready for the season boys
  18. I love how we are focusing on retooling the defense and our offensive line
  19. Why?
  20. Agreed, but we lack that edge that sometimes players like that bring. Sucks but it is what it is
  21. Dixon runs violent...
  22. Carl Davis? Or did you forget how nasty he started last year?
  23. We traded down again? To Mia?
  24. Why and what did we trade for?
