  1. Right, not really what I was going for either. If his knee injury is keeping him from lifing weights and running/sprinting, then his conditioning will decline after 4-6 weeks of physical inactivy (there's no timetable for his return so far). Then when he's cleared for physical activity he'll have to regain his conditioning again, which is likely to delay his return even further. So in that case, maybe between week 4-8 of the regular season... Therefore I ask again, are there any reports/rumors circulating regarding Perriman's activity level during his rehab?
  2. Do we know if he's staying active in the gym lifting weights etc.? Or is he abstaining from all physical activity (besides walking)? If the latter is the case, then we probably shouldn't expect him back until midseason. Being inactive like that does no favors for athletic traits such as strength, speed and durabilty.
  3. I hope you're right, fingers crossed. Definitely, I LOVE our starting unit and the primary backups have done good thus far! You just never know with injuries in this game. Here's to good health and a phenomenal season for our boys in purple.
  4. Hope so, for the first time in my 5-year career as a Ravens supporter I've bet money on Baltimore winning the SB. Go Ravens! Personally, I'm more anxious about the O-line right now. It doesn't matter who's catching balls and how tall they are, if Joe doesn't get (adequate) protection.
  5. But we got Kyle dirt cheap, so we're good. I think we should keep 6 cb's because of Webb's health. So far my candidates are: Jimmy Kyle Webb Melvin Vaughn Walker Like someone else said, I think it's my important to have a guy that can play corner instead of a guy who might get us 2 extra yards (or might cost us 5 yards) on a kick return. Asa hasn't been special returning imo, there's got to be someone else who can duplicate or even improve on that performance.
  6. He's looks quite skinny for a 240-pounder, will he be able to withstand the rigors of the NFL or should he bulk up? That would probably hurt his speed if he went overboard.
  7. What's the deal with 'fake' IR designations? It's not technically legal right?
  8. I hear ya, quality over quantity (as with a lot of things here in life).
  9. As long as he's back week 1, he's looked good thus far. He also had som good runs last year before he got hurt.
  10. Vaughn was agressive, showed nice intensity. You could sense he was fighting for a roster spot.
  11. It seems you accounted for Flacco's risk taking right there. Flacco's decision regarding the first INT didn't bother me, Aiken could have tried to make a play on the ball. Even then, that was a lucky tip for the INT. However, the second INT didn't look good. Either Joe messed up or Brown's route was off - guess we'll never know. I've been thinking about this as well. His running style looks very laboured and heavy with short staccato strides. Certainly not a fast guy but we already knew that, hopefully he can develop crafty routes and better blocking.
  12. Would you mind elaborating on that 'fast-break O'? (why wouldn't they prepare for the game?) PS. Is Chip messing up by showing his cards too early (2nd pre season game)?
  13. Can someone give a newbie like me a quick run through of Chip's fast paced offense. -The media seems to hype it -Eagles fans seem to brag about the number of plays being run etc. If it's so effective why aren't more teams running a similar scheme? Is it a gimmick or are teams missing out?
  14. Terrible game so far, zero bright spots. I just hope the injuries aren't too bad!
  15. Injuries on the O-line are beginning to worry me a little bit. Joe might not play a lot tonight, if he can't get adequate protection. This in turn would minimize the evaluation of the WR corp, if it's mostly Schaub and Renner throwing.
  16. I see Marlon as a big #4 (possesion) WR who's got some experience under his belt in Baltimore. He might get 20-30 catches and 3-4 TD's in a season depending on health and need. We know he's good for this kind of production. What do we really know about Butler besides spending his first year on IR, massive camp hype and a thoroughly underwhelming pre season debut? He could turn it on from now on, but let him prove it before we hype him as well. At least we've seen Marlon perform during the regular season - that grab vs. Minnesota in OT was legit. Butler needs to prove himself, or else they should stash him on PS.
  17. I agree, if he continues his anonymous performance from the Saints game throughout pre season that might work out. I would also like Tom Nelson on PS, but given his age Carter might be the better choice. I currently see our WR corp as follows: 1. Smitty 2. Aiken (Perriman) 3. Camp 4. Brown 5. Waller By midseason BP will hopefully have pushed Aiken to share the #3 spot with Camp.
  18. Just watched his presser, man I like that guy. He's got a really cool demeanor imo. He seems really calm and collected in those interview situations, but you can still sense the (animalistic) intensity in his eyes - the beast he unleashes on the field. Combined with that demeanor is his physical attributes: his belly hanging out, his round head and his droopy/sleepy gaze - which reminds me of a powerful, mauling baby hah. On top of that he just likes to have fun, dance and joke around. Very entertaining guy, I think I've found a new guy to add to my favorite Ravens mix.
  19. Loving father and husband, demolishing nose tackle and a phenomenal dancer. What more could you ask for?
  20. Now that you mention it, it looks like you're still in "The Womb". That seems kind of young for 15k posts, good on ya. I think Perriman will be fine once he returns, he looked really good in the footage from OTA's, mini camp and the first day of camp. Hopefully he has crushed the playbook in the meantime.
  21. As far as I can gather from the internet it's a condition that affects kids and adolescents, it passes with time. It didn't seem to bother him at UCF, Perriman just had a freak accident the first day of camp. @ rmw10: I'm not a proffesional, but I would think you've outgrown it (assuming you're done growing ). What's killing your knees is likely jogging, which you're alluding to yourself. It's arguably the most stressful activity for the knees, especially on pavement, if you're not balancing the musculature in your legs. Take up strength training and ditch the jogging in favor of hill sprints IMO.
  22. I'm pretty sure Butler is 6'2 (I'm 6'2 myself so I notice everyone else who is as well hah) and I recall an interview or article where Campanaro mentioned that he had gained an inch in the last year or so. Maybe because of yoga - either way that would put him at 5'10. I think Camp could sneak up to the #3 WR health permitting, assuming Perriman returns and becomes the #2. He showed a knack for getting open last year imo. Like others have mentioned, Butler needs to perform on the field in regular season before we can crown him anything else than a camp wonder (if that's even a thing).
  23. Just watched Harbaugh's Philly presser, the guy definitely stays in shape and it sounded like he hit the weights at the Eagles facility. Out of curiosity and 'nerdiness', does anyone have an idea about his strength numbers (squat, deadlift, bench)?
  24. Good point, as I recall Vontae was also doing pretty bad in training camp that year (Dolphins Hard Knocks).
  25. And he's been prone to injure his teammates - Jacoby against Denver and wasn't he also involved in Brooks' knee injury against the Jags last year?
