  1. Aiken has made plays IMO. I hope to see a deep connection to Givens, it would be nice to get him a good start.
  2. Cheers, sounds good to me. Hopefully (for him) his injury woes are nothing like what we've witnessed so far with Campanaro.
  3. So what, a fourth?
  4. Freeing a lot of dead money next offseason should help facilitate this process. I was high on Marquise coming out, I would appreciate it if he joined up with Buck in Bmore!
  5. Let's get Pierre, he's the youngest of that bunch. Is he allowed to play this year?
  6. It could also be mentioned that we had to cut our star RB last season, a situation that still lingers with a ton of dead money restricting us from stocking up. Then there's the whole Ngata affair - dead money and lost D-line star power. Go Ravens, prove the doubters wrong and get the SB (for SSS)!
  7. Hopefully they'll be able to retain Tucker and the guys up front (Yanda, Osemele) with all the dead money they retrieve next year.
  8. Tough luck if that turns out to be the case. Then we'll be left just outside playoff contention, in a lukewarm draft position...
  9. Sure, that's a noble mindset and all... but have you watched the Ravens play lately? It's not the team I fell in love with back in 2010. At this point they're pretty much dependent on other teams. Their performance against Pittsburgh, didn't provide me with a whole lotta confidence. We'll see, let's start by demolishing Cleveland at home.
  10. I want to see them go 4-4 into the bye, then there's something to build on. Although it seems 10-6 might be needed for a wild card - 11-5 (which I predicted before the season) is out of the picture at this point.
  11. Church! Causing 2 turnovers vs. Pitt, Joe has to play smarter/better.
  12. I like Joe but I honestly hope he wants to take a pay cut himself. We can't pay him Rodgers/Brady with his performance as it is at the moment - he's being out played by the likes of Dalton, Carr and maybe even Tyrod. I know people will say, "he's got no weapons" and all that jazz, but that doesn't always explain his (mental/concentration) errors. Take a slight cut Joe, so they can maintain a strong O-line for you and supply you with weapons... or make me eat crow and start playing like you did during the SB run - then I'm all for paying him the big bucks.
  13. Not to mention the disappearance of a lot of dead money. If would have to be another high WR draft pick, if that player is to assume the WR2 position. I think Ozzie might focus on pass rush and secondary in the top of next year's draft.
  14. - Good point, the picks vs. DEN + PIT were targeted at Smitty. - Maybe. Let's see him incorporate the TE's a lot more including RB dump offs. How does Givens compare to Torrey? Both are 6 ft, 200'ish lbs with 4.4 speed. - I hope you're right, it's all about coming into the playoffs with momentum as opposed to just being a good regular season team (*cough* Andy Dalton/Bengals...).
  15. Might as well let him play out his rookie contract. Such a shame, the guy has massive potential!
  16. That's exactly how I feel. Winning with a bad taste in your mouth is just not the same. The Ravens were never gonna go winless for the season, and so they luck'ed out in Pittsburgh last night. However, their performance didn't (shouldn't) instill any confidence that they're on the up and up.
  17. Would be a pretty cool tandem for the future - Jeffrey/Perriman...... but it won't do much to better the lackluster defensive performances we've seen so far.
  18. Roger that, my bad. Mosley is a stud, but he got schooled on that play
  19. I'm also pretty sure that was Hill, who somehow collided with Jimmy allowing AJ to waltz into the endzone. Woops, but just like Tru said.
  20. Agree to disagree I guess. Wanker really. Being in a 0-2 hole, I was expecting the guys to ball out and play with urgency. Except for Smitty and a few others, I (myself personally) saw a pretty flat football team. Expecially the D, just giving up chunk after chunk of yardage. Also, I wrote 'maybe' - I'm not saying I have all the answers, to me it just looks like things need to get shaken up. Not really referring to the fans here, don't really see the relevance - much like you mention. I want to see the team more humble AND hungry, I thought being down 0-2 would do that for them. Maybe being down 0-3 will push them to play ALL out. They've looked pretty flat so far IMHO.
  21. This 0-3 (possibly 0-4) start might be what this team needs, to get things shaken up a bit. Like others have mentioned, Ravens fans have been spoiled for a long time with consecutive winning seasons and playoff appearances. We might need a season or two to get humble and hungry, build with high(er) draft picks, do some coaching changes and come back new and refreshed.... Either way, go Ravens!
  22. Sometimes when you're really invested in a team (or pretty much anything), you (at least myself) can't help but become extremelly frustrated when dropping close games like they've done the past 2 weeks. That doesn't mean I don't HOPE and PRAY for the boys to turn it around! My heart has been racing during the final quarter of these last couple of games, and I've been walking back and forth in front of the TV - loudly cheering for the guys when they make plays! Emotional reactions usually aren't logical, and I find it difficult to let go of dissapointing losses. However, once kickoff commences I cheer back up... until things start to go downhill - can't help it. I think the negative fans might just be very invested emotionally. With this talk on feelings done, let's just get a W Sunday!! Go Ravens!!
  23. I'm just struggling to understand how this 'very good personnel' could deliver such different performances in the span of 7 days. I'd love for the D vs. DEN to join the O vs. OAK, that would be a sight to behold! We need a win Sunday - go Ravens! He hasn't delivered in the redzone lately, but the same can be said for our O in general imo. Seem to get stuck there from time to time.
  24. Sure, those are good points which is why I said '-esque'. Also, I was more referring to his physical ability to drag 2-3 defenders into the endzone. I'm not saying he's got the speed and route ability of Gronk.
  25. I think Senior showed plenty, Forsett also displayed nice patience. But we should definitely feed the hot hands and Crock was ballin' vs. Oakland.
