  1. I'm inclined to agree, dude has been hampered recent years. He's always been diminutive in size and his strong suit was explosive change of direction. With that greatly diminished and what seems as an inability to stay healthy for more than a couple of contests at a time, it's safe to say he has regressed. Question is, who would want a fragile player like that?
  2. I hope he sleeps with the playbook under his pillow. He's got to maximize his mental game until he can ge back on the field again. Get well, go Ravens!
  3. I think Crockett, Lorenzo and Juice had pretty good outings. Not much to speak of on the WR front, except maybe Camp's TD. But the Saints secondary might not be the best bench test. I think Waller could have been more assertive, didn't really use his enormous physique which he's been touted for so far. Hopefully they can stash Renner and Nelson on the PS, wouldn't mind them sticking around. Anyways, 1st pre season game - lots more football to come. Go Ravens! PS. Has anyone heard anything on Davis' injury? Looked like it was his knee.
  4. I agree to some extent. It's a physical game and injuries are simply a part of that physicality. Also, players have to get their bodies used to the bumps and bruises of a 16-game season. However, because of the physicality and macho vibe of the sport it seems there's often a "more is better/harder instead of smarter"-attitude when it comes to practice and training. Then on the other hand, freak accidents just happen in collision sports so who really knows... Here's to the health and success of the 2015/2016 Baltimore Ravens!
  5. How much do you think it'll take to keep him in FA?
  6. I actually think Perriman got injured on the subsequent play to the one in the "play of the day" clip, which also happened to be a play along the sideline. I recall it being mentioned in an article by Mink or Downing a day or two after BP's injury, so day 2 or 3 of TC.
  7. How long do you think the 1st units will play? The first quarter or just a couple of series?
  8. Also, contrary to earlier reports it seems he's been doing great on the outside in TC lately. Can anyone elaborate on that?
  9. But he's still losing valuable reps at this point right? Did anyone watch him live in action on the first day of training camp? How raw was he? Presuming he'll miss the rest of TC/pre season, will he be relegated exclusively to go routes when he returns?
  10. Sure, I thought it was a funny image so I ran with it. Bored and restless these days, craving Ravens football! For what it's worth, my gut feeling tells me Baltimore will sweep the pre season this year
  11. Tears over a preseason loss? Maybe in the event that Drew plays the whole game and loses to our 2nd/3rd stringers. That should at least provide us with 250 gallons or so of 'bayou' tears. Not sure that's enough for that pool though. Go Ravens!
  12. Sure, it could be a lack of hydration. It could also be over hydration, improper diet, improper rest/sleep, muscle imbalances, joint instabilities, bad motor patterns, freak accidents etc. Really no way of knowing from this side of the field. This is a professional football organization that specializes in athletic performance among other things. I have faith that Steve, Oz and Harbs do their utmost to optimize the performance and health of their athletes. Be it hiring the most qualified personel available to making sure the players drink water. I have a hard time believing players just swishing and spitting for a 3-hour practice - but then again I haven't had the opportunity to attend TC. Injuries are as much a part of football as TD's and INT's.
  13. Getting Steve a ring would be one of my fondest moments as a Raven fan - Go Ravens! Besides OLB I think safety might be one of the highest priorities next year. If Terrence Brooks doesn't pan out and we lose Hill to FA, then we're pretty toast back there. Kendrick Lewis still has yet to produce for us in the regular season. I'm not too worried though, we have the best FO in the game. Such a pleasure being a Ravens fan, I really found a keeper when I got into football in 2010.
  14. I hope he'll become a stud, we need all the fire power we can get now that Smitty is retired next year. Can't wait to follow the preseason, and watch our depth/bench display their talents.
  15. Lawrence Guy killin' it in the background.
  16. Too bad Harbaugh isn't a fortune telling physician, then he would be able to accurately assess and determine each individual players time off. Not sure if you've ever had a physical injury, but the body doesn't always work/heal how you want it to. Granted he gives inacurate timelines at times, but who's to say he isn't delivering that message straight from the training room? What would he gain from "low balling" injury prognoses?
  17. I'm thinking a rookie season akin to Torrey's, health permitting of course - fingers crossed on that. Around 40-50 recs, about 7-800 yards, 5-7 TD's. But besides stats, I just want to seem him compete for catches and flash the potential of a future #1 WR. That's more important than his rookie stats imo, especially if he's gonna miss time and reps here in the beginning.
  18. I'm aware, that's why I tagged #20/20 as in "hindsight is 20/20". Really there weren't a whole lot of big shot prospects from when we picked at 32 till we picked in round 2 (maybe Te'o). A couple good RB's though and we know Ozzie has a thing for BPA. Obviously our FO didn't intentionally waste our first two picks on potential busts, I even remember Ozzie mentioning Elam's sound tackling at a presser. But yeah, this is all speculation... because I'm/we're bored and WE NEED LIVE FOOTBALL! Go Ravens!
  19. Shouldn't they just him "shadow" the best opposing WR? I just rewatched that first game on gamepass yesterday, Chykie was burned and Stewart was juked. I have high hopes for this years secondary.
  20. I agree as well, it just sucks a bit when you miss on the high picks imo. We should have traded out of the first and taken Lacy/L. Bell + Kelce as you said in the second round. #20/20
  21. Definitely, but that's pretty much the situation for every NFL team. If Rodgers goes down, if Brees goes down, if Brady goes down (guess we'll see for 4 games), if Manziel goes down... hmm, wait a minute
  22. Yeah, but we hit the mark with B-Will from Div. II and Wagner in the 5th. Juice has been useful for us, let's see if KLM has got something for us this season. Edit: I see this has already been mentioned, great minds think alike.
  23. Wow, so that's the 1st and 2nd round pick from our 2013 draft class... pretty much being busts? Can't win them all I guess. Go Ravens!
  24. Probably shouldn't get too carried away, I mean with the whole "Elam-dissapointing 1st rounder-now also done for the season because of injury"-situation. Let's prove it on the field and try to sweep the division this year... that's the way to do it imo.
  25. Health permitting though, that's always a big "if" in (physical) football. Fingers crossed for all of our guys, offense included. Go Ravens!
