  1. I like him, he declined a little bit last year but has been an effective run stopper. With proper people around him and in the "rotation" system that Pees has set up, he would probably do well here. We'll see what happens.
  2. People are confused about this signing. I'm sure the guaranteed money isn't astronomic and he is a great special teams player and with more work, could be a really good quality depth corner/safety. I like this signing, I think he'll only get better. We all need to remember that a lot of our starters in past years came from special teams and made a difference.
  3. If you look at the numbers they are comparable to Daniels, didn't have a QB, and as a bonus, he killed the Patriots when he played them. He is huge, strong, cheap, and like I said, a good guy all around. Plus, I guess there are pretty good ties with Yanda from what someone reported, so that might be a bonus. He does have some dropped passes and not the fastest in the world but this was Daniels' MO as well. Plus he's a few years younger. I think out of that market that we have, this is our best option.
  4. http://espn.go.com/blog/baltimore-ravens/post/_/id/18636/te-scott-chandler-would-be-solid-fit-for-ravens I hope this happens. I really like this guy, he would be a good replacement for Daniels and he's a solid guy, would be a great leader and mentor for our younger TE's. Plus, he's cheap!
  5. I read that this morning as well and I do not understand how we could do it. I know that there was more restructuring that they wanted to do but Knighton does seem highly unlikely, although one can dream.
  6. I would normally agree but while we made some room with trading Ngata, I think that we have more pressing needs, especially with the "depth" that we have when everyone is healthy. I don't want to jinx it but it seems highly improbable that what we encountered in our secondary can happen two years in a row. (I feel like I should delete this last sentence...)
  7. I agree but our back-ups that got a few game reps this past year will have the offseason, OTA's, training camp, and preseason to get it together. It will make a big difference, especially since they are all so young. I'm not as concerned about our secondary (except for Elam, lol) as I am about our TE's
  8. I think he is going to be a bit out of our price range and he makes a lot of mistakes. Also, I don't know how many moves Ozzie is going to make at CB since he likes what we have. He'll most likely draft one.
  9. I agree with our WR corps as well. I would love Brandon Flowers. I think that he would be an amazing addition. I'm hopeful about Webb but not optimistic. I'm not sure how he'll feel about restructuring but I think that he would have to based on injury, age, and overall play. But with Jimmy, Asa, Flowers, and Melvin getting more experience, we would be good, as well as drafting a CB late or seeing how Ross develops, coaches were optimistic about him.
  10. I hope not...I do think that he will be successful and if we can keep up our o-line consistency with the front 7 and Castillo, we'll be good.
  11. I'm just wondering if he's making (or not making) the necessary adjustments, different personnel, or what others factors would make it so that he consistently drops off statistically year two.
  12. I liked his press conference but I did have a concern with it when he said that he "learns" the previous coordinators scheme if it has been successful and then fully takes it over the next year. Could this be why he has a drop off in production in year two? It's not huge, the dropoff but you can see it. I have faith in Harbaugh to make sure that Trestman is successful but it's something that stood out to me as I was listening to him.
