uh,MATT JUDON? he'll be fine with an offseason to get stronger and learn the D alittle better,we do not need to draft a LB!

Really? Suggested Judon. Do you even watch the Ravens games? First off they arent even the same position. Secondly, No way would anyone ever want judon covering the middle of the field. His replacement will be a budget free agent. As ozzie likes to do.

  2. I don't feel like the team we have right now is any better than the team last year. Ravens needed impact, game changing players. What OZ decided was more picks, more "guys". We needed a star. Sad to see other teams get it. Taking risk to get blue chip players while we move back to pick 4th and 5th round guys hoping to find a diamond in the rough instead picking up the diamond in front of you. Spence and Buckner will tear up league.

They have watched hundreds hours of tape. They know what value they are getting. Youve watched a 2 minute youtube video and listened to Mel "overraction" Kiper. Ill trust ozzie who has 2 Rings. Monday morning GMs. SMH

  3. If we draft better, then we dont need to keep spending unnecessary money to replace 1st rounders like Elam, and we would then have money to resign the few picks that do pan out, like Kruger, and Torrey Smith. Thats where bad drafting kills ya

Kruger and Torrey both received 8 million per year on the open market. They were in no way worth that kind of money. Thats double their value. No thanks.

  4. You all are missing the point. Yes he could be a very good player that protects Flacco, but last time I checked Joe Thomas was one of the best tackles for awhile and how has Cleveland done...no playoffs for awhile. Look at Denver...an okay o-line but a great defense. We needed a pass rusher or corner in the first round and could of picked up a nice o-linemen later in the draft (Osemele and Yanda are great examples). Stanley may become a great player but he's not going to be the deciding factor that wins us games.

Flaccos knee being healthy behind a strong offensive line will be a deciding factor that wins us games.

  5. I love this pick. Everyone complained when we got Mosley because they said we had Arthur Brown. How did that turn out? Flacco went down because monroe is made of glass. They continue to complain because hurst was our backup and was the reason for flaccos injury. Now the same people complain that we got our Book end LT for the future. Ill support this team no matter what. We dont need you fair weathered fans.

The FO handled the whole thing poorly. Release him and say that he's getting suspended. Don't try to make it seem like a money move when we have far worse contracts on the books.

Everyone here is trying to justify the release when any sane individual knew it was a bad move money wise and talent wise.

The team hasnt had/said an official statement on his release yet. Just that he was cut.

    FS: Webb/Brooks

    SS: Weddle/Elam

... Could be worse. Weddle can give you the same product Hill did, if not better. The question becomes is if Webb can be an upgrade over Lewis? Or does Brooks and Webb split time and allow Brooks to eventually take over that spot? Time will tell.

Lewis will be the rotating safety unless Elam and Brooks improve over the summer. Dont forget about Levine too. Not a big name guy but Harbaugh clearly likes him. Hes stuck around this long, good special team player.

The problem with putting someone on the trading block is that you are outright saying "we can live without him" and the signing of Weddle didn't help - teams probably assumed he would be cut, that doesn't mean his trade value is zero though, i'm sure if we waited we could have found a trade partner but the front office could have reason to not wait - I don't know but Hill definitely has trade value.

My whole argument is the suspensions with Hill. If he didnt have them then maybe he had some value. But not with those priors. Most teams have become greedy with picks, even 7th rounders in recent years. Logic is to wait and see if someone gets cut in the coming months. Which happened with Hill.

Continuously reiterating the same line doesn't make it true. He has clear trade value, some have rose tinted glasses and others go to the other extreme, you are currently residing in that other extreme. Hill was not an all pro safety, he wasn't on the fast track to the hall of fame, nobody is suggesting that he'd net us a 1st or 2nd round pick, but he was easily an above average safety and the fact that he hasn't gotten into trouble since his suspension overrules it like it does for every above average player. We were able to get a 7th round conditional pick from Dallas for a linebacker that was a first round bust, had character issues and had left the game for 2 years - Hill certainly could have gotten us better than that. The trade value is there for teams that need a safety.

Hill had no trade value. Zero. No one is going to trade for someone with 1 mistake away from a year ban. Sorry you cant understand that concept.

I'm sorry, but you won't find a team with safety needs or really any team that wouldn't give something for Will Hill.

This isnt madden 25. He had no trade value. Not with his prior suspensions and average production.

Trades happen for all types of players in the NFL. Will Hill most definitely had some trade value. No question. For example, if I was any other GM I would easily give a 7th round pick for him, and he's worth more than just that.

They really dont though. Hill had no value for a trade.  Just wishful thinking. If someone was interested they would have found the avenue. Hill just had really high potential. People thinking he would break out and he didnt. Average at best.

I think we really should have put will hill on the table for Tennessee for the first overall pick. They're desperate for secondary help and in their position they don't want to take Ramsey. They want a DB and a. Safety specifically and they have fielded trades because they aren't sold on either tunsil or Ramsey first overall, we could have offered hill and a future first and Maybe our 3rd to move up and get tunsil of ramsey.

In no way would a team give up a #1 pick for a #6 for an average safety. We would have to give up multiple 1st rounders and a second. No one at 1 is worth that kind of ammunition in this draft. Just look at the Redskins a few years back. Or the saints with Ricky Williams.

I hope Webb can still ballhawk because he's going to miss a lot of tackles.

Webb is the best tackler in our entire secondary. Which isnt saying much but at least hes aggressive and wraps guys up. Unlike Matt Elam.

  14. Well regardless of what you all want to argue. It was apparent that Harbaugh had Hill behind Webb and Lewis in terms of the depth chart since mid last year. I trust his judgment over anyone in this thread. Saying that, Maybe hes clearing cap space for Oline/Oline depth. Could benefit the team more than a safety 4th on the depth chart.

  15. I dont see the argument as to why Webb cant be a better player than Hill. Hes been in this defense for his entire career and they sit in the same DB meetings/coached together, so he knows everything. He can even cover the slot better than Hill ever could, if he needs to. Honestly Webb is the smallest guy in our secondary and somehow the best tackler. He will be great next to Weddle.
