About his motor, but not about his talent. It'll be up to the coach (Bowles, a very good defensive mind) to get the most out of him.
i didnt say he is short of talent, I am just not a big fan of guys that give up on plays or dont put effort in it
Peat is a good pick !
This is a guy who's tape won't tell the whole story when he's a pro. His potential to be a great player is through the roof
I think...if a guy disappears for most of the game...it tells a lot
Ok, I think Bud's got the size for it certainly
he got the size but...ah I just dont like that pick I guess, personal preferences
Unless rmw changed it, jets run a 3-4
he changed it...
how does Dupree fit into the 4-3 he play with the Jets? just wondering...
Strong is a bad wow ...
Â
Brown is a good wow !
Not a fan of that pick.Â
I am not sure about Ray as well
I'm mistaking leverage and hand usage for straight line speed and bend? K den.
He doesnt do that on a consistent basis, he gets driven back in the run game a lot, which is crucial in a 4-3, I dont see him setting the edge
he has leverage, but not a lot of power, and his hands are all over the place a lot
Like the technique which Gregory has by the bucket load
I think you mistake technique with speed and athleticism, IMO he is very raw, technique wise, not strong enough against the run, and his athleticism wont help him against the better LT in the League
Fowler doesn't even run by people, but that doesn't concern you?
there is more to a 3-4 LB then running by people...
No feedback on Shelton?
Fatboys are boring I know.
he is a very good pick up, gonna play a lot and solidify that Run Defense
I think Dion Jordan is a pretty good comparison. Both would be studs in a 3-4, but I got questions about them in a 4-3.
they are very similar, both are more a 3-4 LB, they could be good in an elephant role or like the Pats use Jamie Collins, but as a 4-3 end...dobt like them at all
yeah, I definitely see him more as a 3-4 backer than a 4-3 DE. But he can do both,
i think he will get eaten alive by the better LT in the NFL, he is an athlete right now, like a certain guy in Miami, who proved to be a "bust". athleticism alone gets you somewhere in college, not the NFL
I'm not dissing Gregory, but weight gain is still a solid concern for him. I like him a lot.
no moves, technique - only speed, if he adds weight I doubt he will be able to move as well as he does now, not a good fit for a 4-3 IMO
I expect Kansas City to select a Kicker here
I see a LS coming
I was a fan of Nix last year, but he didn't play at all last season and the Texans are reported to have soured on him.
if you are interested in trading Irish Chocolate...
When I watched him he played Defensive End as you'd expect a Nose Tackle to.
An athletic Nose Tackle, but not an explosive pass rusher that's going to be a double-digit sack player.
no one really expects double digit Numbers from a Nose in a 3-4...
I know right, TV guys do it in between picks. I can see not naming names but at least speculating the position a GM may take.
someone should open a speculation only thread then !
we are not allowed to speculate?!
He is the best edge setter in this whole draft, at 260 pounds he is extremly quick off the line of scrimmage, he has violent hands, can stand up an OLinemen with one hand and perfectly set the edge on run plays, with his violent hands he displayed very good and well coached rip and swim moves to win one on one battles, he also occasionally uses a bull rush to drive the opponent backwards. On top of that he has a great motor and is constantly going after the ball
Amen
Patriots trade up, that does not happen very often
I think Fowler maybe
Trade coming???

I know, i just stated I am not a fan of it, and a lot of guys dont reach their potential cause of their working habits and motor/effort, thats all I am saying
Dupree can be a very good player, he has a lot of talent but needs to work on his habits
