  1. I had Ogletree in this game last year. He was OK and improved in his second year. He is pretty useful linebacker in a passing game but still leaves a lot of unfinished tackles on the field. That was the reason I thought he might be available in later rounds. I think he'll improve again this season though - good pick.

I liked his progress and think he will get better this year, so I think it was a good spot to take him IMO

  2. about my last 2 Picks

Alec Ogletree is one of the better young LBs, he is very athletic and versatile, a must in todays Game. He had 2 very good Seasons with 100+ Tackles and keeps getting better. He and Jamie Collins gonna form a very good LB Duo for my Franchise. Behind Aaron Donald, Chandler Jones and Dan Williams, he wont have a lot of OL trying to block him, which will make him even more effective.

Buster Skrine is one of the better Nickel CB that can play outside as well, which is always a plus, he is productive and man he is gonna be great with the Jets and Todd Bowles. He tackles well and plays very aggressive, which led to a few penalties, but well, in todays NFL everyone gets those for nothing so I can live with that.

So all in all, I have to say I have a pretty good Defense in place already which was my goal from the beginning.

  3. Your last point has been the Patriot killer. It's why the Giants and Ravens have beaten them more consistently than any team. Also worked for the Chiefs this year. Belichick is always adapting which is why it seams he's retooled his D to do exactly what's been done to them. Apply pressure v

Consistent pressure will beat any team

  4. They likely used the method with the highest success rate, but the notion itself is debatable, especially since Seattle had one of the best secondaries to go along with that elite front seven. Their defense was beaten, but the loss wasn't entirely in the strategy. Seattle came in dinged up and then suffered a rash of injuries to key players. They were forced to start a reserve level CB who in his last game two weeks before allowed 10 receptions on 10 targets for 114 yards and 2 TDs. It's the same strategy they used against Baltimore and our next-man-up RCB. The notion above implies that the Patriots have devised a strategy to consistently defeat every defense that's stout on every single level. If this was the case, they'd be entirely unbeatable, which they aren't.

but the Pats found a way to win, and that is going on for around 15 years now, and no deflated balls are not the reason for that. I see it like this, Belichick is the best as finding likeable matchups, exploiting weaknesses and adapt. there is no formula to beeing unbeatable, just to win on a consistent basis and most teams dont have the players or/and coaches for that

  5. Right. There's going to be more injuries before the season starts and not only that these players would still be part of the team in years to come. Which will make it very interesting to see if someone takes a gamble on a certain Cleveland wr.

I bet he wont play a down again like a certain Jacksonville WR probably will

  6. I get the concern, but I think most of his issues in pass protection come from his technique, which he's been gradually improving - and I like the Chargers' confidence in him to play there. And I think Bortles' pocket presence is good enough to at least partially compensate for those weaknesses.

that remains to be seen, his weight is a big concern for me and itbhurts him in Pass Protection as well as his poor technique

  7. Anyone have thoughts on Jimmy G? Curious what people think of him.

I like what I have seen of him coming out of college and in the preseason, had a few plays in the season which showed promise. Started the OTAs pretty good and now had a bad day. I think he can evolve into a good NFL starter, maybe even Franchise QB, has a strong arm and quick release, moves well in the pocket and is very intelligent.

And yes I was hoping he would fall to me with my next pick

  8. I'll probably get a lot of hate for this pick, but Vaccaro's healthy rookie season was stellar. The only reason I think his play fell off the map was because he was playing through injuries (something like two quad tears). I honestly think he comes back to his old self this season.

had him on my board as well, if he gets healthy and plays like in his rookie season he could be a steal
