  1. It doesn't matter where they were picked or how they got here, what matters is we have young guys who have talent and are contributing. Buck Allen is contributing and Darren Waller is one of our best special teams players. Z-Smith is getting a lot of snaps due to Suggs being out, but he is contributing and getting better. Walker has not shown anything, but he has great measurable and athleticism so hopefully with some coaching and development he can become a contributor down the road
  2. I disagree. Guys like Buck Allen, Maxx Williams, Nick Boyle and Darren Waller on offense need more time and could become big time contributors for us in the near future. On defense we have youngsters like Jernigan, Guy, Williams (already a stud but could improve), Mosley, Art Brown, Z-Smith, Walker and Brooks. All of these guys were drafted or brought in here within the last 3 years and all of them have roles on this team as we speak except Brown and Walker. I think we have talent, but we definitely need to add more this offseason and hopefully these guys continue to get better
  3. If he retires so be it, he has earned it and deserves all the praise and respect he gets. If he does decide to come back though, I will be very excited and appreciative of his sacrifice for this team. He would almost certainly be used in a lesser role next year and would probably be given a lot of days off during the offseason (especially for his wife's birthday). Nonetheless I watch each game with the understanding that this will be his last year.
  4. Jamison Hensley is reporting that he thinks Steve Smith is reconsidering his retirement plans. This is all speculation on Hensley's part, but nonetheless this would be great for our team if he returned next year. If he indeed does return, I still think we go out and get a free agent and draft a receiver high in the draft (Rounds 1-3). Its a pipedream at this point, but the fact Hensley even reported it gives the idea hope.
  5. As great as Aldon Smith was I can not see a scenario where we even look at him. Once his court hearings are finished there is a real possibility that he is suspended for all of 2016 if not longer. The dude is like Gordon, they have to much talent but continue to waste it away on stupid mistakes. I do not think there is room for someone like him on our team, I would expect us to grab 2 pass rushers in this years draft. We should have around 11-12 picks total in the draft so we should have a lot of assets to move around the draft.
  6. Nolan would be a choice, but there are pretty good options that may become available this offseason. Pagano, Pettine and Bradley could all be fired this offseason, they would be good options. Ray Horton is an option, he is currently Tennessee's defensive coordinator. Jim Schwartz is also a viable candidate, he has predominately run a 4-3 defense but that is not a deal breaker as every candidate should be considered. As a fan I would want Pagano or Horton first before we consider anyone else
  7. He could if he was cleared to play, but I do not think he was cleared yet
  8. I can think of a few others. Bruce Miller continually rolled out and was uncovered numerous times for big gains. Judging by the alignment and who blitzed and who didn't it looked like Pees did not account for Miller in his play call amongst other blunders
  9. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw both safeties were up at the line of scrimmage. Hill and Lewis looked like linebackers they were that close to the line
  10. I don't think that is something we should consider. Jernigan is an asset on our defensive line and has already slimmed down to roughly 300 lbs. How much more do you want to ask him to drop? To fix our problem we need to draft someone that fits the position. Floyd, Jenkins, Lawson and others in this years draft would be much better options.
  11. Agree with all that. Id also like to see KLM, Waller and Givens get more time. The coaching staff continues to walk on the line of insanity by trotting Marlon Brown out there in 3-wide sets. I wouldn't bench Smith and Mosley necessarily, but give them breathers with Brown and allow him to come in and rush the passer from time to time. He has to be better at that then Upshaw or McClellan, doesn't he?
  12. If Pees still has a job here after the bye week (assuming we continue to spiral downwards defensively) then I will be utterly shocked. Miami came out inspired against Tennessee with their new coaching staff and blew them out. Not saying that was because of the firing of Philbin and Coyle, but it certainly didn't hurt the team in that game. Lucky for us it looks like Pagano is coaching himself right back to being a defensive coordinator or position coach. Pees may last the season, but if someone like Pagano, Pettine or Horton are available this offseason then Pees should be given his walking papers.
  13. I am about done with the "small school" prospects. Brandon Williams has worked out great for us recently from a small school, but Tray Walker and Robert Myers to me were two completely wasted picks last year. I don't know how we passed on bigger known prospects like Diggs, Jarrett or Quandre Diggs to draft two guys who the FO seems like they knew they would not see the field this year. Sometimes I feel like the FO overthinks players or almost outsmarts themselves with some of these selections. I love Ozzie and this whole organization but in 2016 I would like to see some impact players taken in positions that we need them
  14. I think you are exaggerating a little bit, but not that much. Flacco has improved over the years I believe, but there is no doubt he needs talent around him to succeed. I think the idea of him making players better has sailed and we need to get him better talent on the offensive side. I may be in the minority but I love Flacco's attitude and demeanor, because you know when the games are tough and on the line he usually comes through. This year is an anomaly and a lot of things are going bad that usually wont, but Flacco should be our starting QB for the next 5-7 years, if not for the fact it is unbelievably hard to find a competent one. Id cut Flacco some slack, because when he has talent around him like last postseason, I would not want any other QB
  15. Good: SSS, Forsett, Gilmore, O-line (except for jogging on the final drive), Jeremy Ross and the run defense Bad: Flacco having to press in order to keep up. Kamar Aiken and the pass rush Ugly: Dean Pees play calling and gameplan, MARLON BROWN (how has Butler not replaced him yet?), SHAREECE WRIGHT and the entire pass defense, Courtney Upshaw on pass rushing and most importantly the teams desire and passion
  16. I am not giving up on Jimmy, but him paired with Hargreaves would be a top 5 cornerback duo in the league in due time. Ramsey would be an excellent pick and has the potential to be an excellent player, but I would prefer Hargreaves over him. It doesn't mean much though, probably just personal preference. Either way, we need defensive help badly and if Ramsey is the pick then I will fully support him and be thrilled he Is a Raven.
  17. I agree Ramsey is the real deal, but truthfully I like Hargreaves better as a fit for our team. I would not at all be upset if we got Ramsey, I would actually be ecstatic, but finding a shut down corner is necessary in today's NFL. Also, I am hoping and praying that we sign Gipson as our free safety and then go Hargreaves in the first. No guarantee it would work out that way but we definitely do need a Free Safety as well as a starting corner anyway you slice it
  18. I agree with that, although I love Smith's covering ability. That is something our linebackers have struggled with this year. I think there are only 3 positions we should really go and that's corner, rusher and wide receiver in that order IMO
  19. After watching yesterday's game, If Hargreaves or Ramsey are available I highly doubt we pass on either of those guys. Hargreaves has the ability to be a shut down corner for us and could be our #1 guy. Ramsey would mostly be used as a FS who can cover and make plays. What do you guys think of Jaylon Smith for us? I think he could play ILB or OLB for us and possibly replace Daryl Smith if we picked him
  20. I understand that, but last year no one was complaining about how he covered guys. He can cover, he had a good pass breakup on Boldin yesterday. He has to be put into positions to cover guys, not have to sprint across the entire formation to cover one of the fastest guys in the 2015 draft. No linebacker in the league could have covered that play from the Browns game, I agree he needs to improve but Mosley is no where near the top of our list of problems.
  21. I am not defending everyone, but Forsett is playing well this year even against stacked boxes. Mosley is being asked to cover speed running backs like Duke Johnson and people wonder why he is getting burned. In Jimmy and Dumveril's case, they both are good and playing well but they don't have anyone opposite of them to help them. Dumveril is our ONLY pass rusher, teams just double him and leave Upshaw on the other side standing there. This team Is not very good, but there is a ton of talent on this team and until Pees is fired and the replacement stinks I will not believe anything different.
  22. No its not and it wouldn't be a surprise to see us go hard on defense in the draft and leave Flacco with spare parts again on offense. We need speed and explosiveness on offense and this years draft has a lot of that, hopefully Ozzie takes advantage
  23. Out of those 3 I would prefer Garcon, he knows how to get open and can line up anywhere on the field. Its a dream at this point but a wide receiver depth chart next year of Garcon, Perriman, High Draft Pick, Campanaro, Waller and Givens/Aiken or Draft Pick would be much better then what we have now.
  24. Marlon Brown is awful and should be cut now in favor of Jeremy Butler. What has Brown done so far that Butler could not do? Aiken should be our 5th or 6th wideout, not our #2. Next year I expect them to bring in a veteran and atleast 1 high draft pick if not 2 at wide receiver. Campanaro is good and its unfortunate he has gotten hurt a lot, I think he deserves one more year.
  25. I want to see Arthur Brown on the field more this season, at 1-5 getting him valuable game reps could not hurt. Pees would rather go with McClellan as a rusher then Brown? Brooks was inactive yesterday, but I think moving forward they will give him more reps especially with Lewis going down yesterday. Harbaugh touched on it yesterday that our coaches are not putting players in position to make plays and I believe that was a direct shot to Pees.
