  1. Ozzie, get Tucker a long term contract. Thanks
  2. I am in!! Maybe we need to start an email campaign to Mr. Bisciotti or Ozzie to get their attention. We want Tucker! Pay the man! If anyone needed reminding just how much value he brings to this team, or what it looks like to play without a consistent kicker, last night was the perfect lesson! No Tucker = no chance at the playoffs! I absolutely believe that.
  3. I have read comments on this on many different sports sites, not just football related. I think everyone watching the game saw it except the officiating crew. I usually stick up for the guys in stripes, because it isn't an easy job. Then there is the logic behind using part-time employees in one of the most important positions of a mult-billion dollar industry...
  4. HA! I am glad that I am not the only one watching that game who had that type of reaction. I did one of those "say what" double takes. Definitely felt a time warp - then the mirror showed me all the same gray hairs and wrinkles.... Not only was there a baseball field in the middle of the football stadium, but did you see how small the endzone was and how close the fans were at the back of it? Outdoor imitation of an arena league!
  5. "in the hotel working on football all week" is part of the problem. Have you ever heard of down time? Or life balance? Or over doing things? Take from someone who travels constantly for their job - living and working on the road is draining and can really get to you mentally.
  6. You are not kidding. I know these coaches are supposed to be a lot smarter about football than us amateurs out here watching, but I do not understand WHAT they could possibly like about the three-man rush when they study it on tape. Maybe, instead of another CB, we should be trading for a new defensive coordinator - one who is willing to admit when he is wrong and move on to other plays that might work better.
  7. Wouldn't it be nice to have JJ Dragonfly with us still? He wasn't perfect, but he would have torched Talil and given Joe a target deep down field. I don't care if he dropped 2 out of 3, it would have backed Denver up. As it was, they knew that we had no one fast enough to get past their secondary, and one of Joe's best weapons, his long ball, was essentially taken out of play, from the very beginning of the game.
  8. Can't say that I agree with the writer's opinion about Jacoby. No doubt that he had a bad year. News Flash: it happens. Even to HOFers. His raw talent in speed, his attitude, and his experience running returns puts him in the top tier of returners and makes him a wildcard WR. If he is in the game, the defense always has to think down the field. Considering that there was a full offseason ahead to work with him on the We had the off season to work out the bugs (which I think were focus/concentration/self-induced pressure related), I think we cut him way too soon.
  9. I second that. Asa has his strengths, but we also know that he has his issues. All Dan has shown is positive, and it would have been nice to give him more time to develop.
  10. I doubt that Charles James would agree with you.
  11. They cut him because he is "only" 5'9" and not tall enough. I seem to recall a HOF corner by the name of Darrell Green who is only 5'9", and he is still widely considered to be one of the best there ever was. Maybe some day people will learn to look beyond the obvious to what really makes someone truly special.
  12. A fine is the least of it - he should have been suspended. To pile-drive someone into the turf is inexcusable and being a pre-season game doesn't matter. Every time I see that tape, I am relieved and surprised to see Kamar get up and walk away. Smith's actions were nothing to justify a fine, especially compared to that. I hope the FO has sent in tape and is complaining loudly about the incident.
  13. Good luck Konrad! Keep your Raven attitude and you will find a team! Welcome Charles!! Cool socks, man! You got to share where we can all get some of those!
  14. Never, ever, ever give up. Welcome to the team Bryn. From what we have seen so far, play just like a Raven!!
  15. I second that. Renner held his own in the pre-season. I also hope it is true that Brown is included as well.
  16. Cassius Vaughn played well against the Eagles - he was one of the few bright spots. Maybe he should get a shot at the #2 CB spot. As much as I like Webby, this song is really growing old.
  17. Where is the video for Tucker's camera kick? That deserves to be posted!!
  18. It definitely fell into the "Go Figure" category. You have to admit, though, we were due for something to go our way!
  19. One of the more sensible posts I have read on this website. I wish I could give you 10 "likes" but I did what I could!!! Hello from a misplaced Raven in SC.
  20. "6 years in, this guy pretty much is who he's gonna be" You think so? I am really glad our Front Office didn't take that 'know everything' stance before they signed Justin Forsett last year.
  21. Sending condolences and best wishes to Rashaan and his family. Very impressed with how far Rashaan advanced in short time. He is a Raven through and through. Take care of yourself, Rashaan, get that shoulder well, and we look forward to seeing you back on the field soon!
  22. Really loved this series!! Particularly interesting to see how some of the drills are taught and coached. For those of us that have never had the chance to play the game, it is a very helpful insight. More like this please?
