But to pass on a player as promising as Godwin twice, at a position of need, and take Tim Williams with all his off the field / character concerns...it feels like a risk we didn't need to take. Maybe he's a steal, who knows, but IMO one of those 3rd rd picks should have been Godwin.

Our offense has underachieved for a long time. In the past several seasons, overall, we've had a solid defense which keeps us in games but our offense can't get anything going, can't control possession, and turns the ball over too quickly for the defense to have time to get a breather. Late game heroics after an entire game of wasted opportunities shouldn't somehow point the finger at the defense and absolve the offense for the first 50 minutes of play.

This. Just because John Harbaugh said it, and Ryan Mink writes an article doesn't mean it's true. Mosley could leave very easily especially with bloated contracts coming up soon and another Joe Flacco restructure/extension.

IMO Davis is the top WR option. Lesser QB, better routes, better speed, less size on the competition, more production than Williams. The only knock is a lower level of competition but he beat top tier CBs too.

I'm not the one judging those two, I'm suggesting both Stanley and Perriman are too early to tell having each only played one season. Go back and look at what I responded to. "How can I said Mosley is just good?" Because he's a liability in coverage at times. In 2015 he was specifically targeted by QBs because he couldn't cover over the middle well. He's a good run stopping ILB with below avg coverage skills. He's a good pick. He could be great but he's not there yet. I didn't say he was a bust, I like him a lot and it was a good pick. Don't use the pro bowl like it means something. Zuttah made the pro bowl this year.

I wasn't saying he shouldn't be. I responded to someone who used Perriman as an example of a good pick like he has already proven something. He's still an unknown for us.

Most of it is a crapshoot, I'll give you that, but we have not been drafting well for many years. Mosley and Jimmy were good but not great, they've both had their share of ups and downs. Using Stanley as an example is trendy but shortsighted, he's played 1 year. Pump the brakes. Perriman has proven nothing yet, he can't even consistently crack the starting lineup.

It's not that Flacco is a bum. It's that he isn't worth the money he got. It's not happening this offseason obviously but they should think long and hard about taking a QB high in the draft soon.

Thisssssss He's good enough to be a starter in this league. If you swapped him and Dak Prescott right now he'd have a career year and likely win the superbowl. But his contract prevents him having the tools around him like Dallas has for Dak and he can't function without it. Something has to be done if we want to get back to a superbowl.

That's the only criteria? Or are you just being a troll? Forsett struggled to get playing time. He gave us some good production. There are tons of examples of players who take longer to develop. Just because someone didn't get the opportunity or was buried on a depth chart doesn't mean they can't play. He outperformed most receivers in the league in preseason, we just weren't willing to keep him bc of vets and draft picks we already had at the position.

Based on what? Had we given him a fair chance at all he could have developed. His only flaw was that he was buried behind vets and draft picks as a UDFA, but IMO he had more promise than most young receivers we have had.

Ravens value draft picks more than most teams, and as a major way you rebuild your team they couldn't spend picks on that position We are still hesitant to tolerate troubled players He's a FA after this season I don't disagree, it would have been nice and he's a talented receiver who could have helped us, it would have made sense, but those are some of the big reasons why we didn't.

Joe's contract is holding the Ravens back. He's never had consistency nor the big play receivers his arm deserves, that is all true, but when you're paid like you're a top 5 QB you need to be able to make it happen with less and Joe simply can't. His contract prevents them from putting the pieces in play around him he needs. If you need those things you shouldn't get the contract he got. Twice. The consistency with which we threw a short pass on 3rd and long, not even just this year is infuriating. The receiving corps need to be better; running better routes and making more plays (Aiken, a possession receiver has a sub-60% catch rate the past 2 seasons complaining why he isn't getting the ball). The offensive line can't give him enough time and keep him clean, and he's paid too much to fix any of it in a meaningful way.

Reading comprehension...None of what I said was a praise of anything Perriman did. I simply gave credit for the interceptions where it was due - Joe. Perriman had nothing to do with them. He underthrew the first badly and sailed the second deep into the secondary about 5 feet over the head of the WR. No WR could have fixed that. The fact that it was Perriman he was throwing to is irrelevant which is why I took issue with the original statement. When was the last time we used 3 WR? All the time. Where have you been? Last Sunday, the Sunday before that, in fact the only week during the NFL regular season you won't see us put a 3 WR set out there will be this week. I wonder if you can figure out why.

Those questions should bother him because they aren't fair questions, both of those interceptions were just terrible throws by a QB who was gunshy all day. Why would anyone even implicate Perriman in either interception? All Joe.
