  1. IMO, Perriman might not be getting the physical reps, but he sure is more than likely getting the playbook down, and i don't see a big issue with Flacco and Perriman getting in Sync once he gets on the field....If he knows his routes and the playbook, then it's just a matter of Flacco getting his speed dialed in, and then he just throws to spots, where a WR is supposed to be....Like most players tell you, all have the physical tools, its getting the mental tools down that is key to making a team and not, and Perriman has gotten plenty of time to know the playbook inside and out.....Always a silver lining to a bad situation....

Anybody can run a route that don't mean anything. Players feed off each other and have an idea of how each other play. The qb needs to understand how the wr get's open, move and what time and where they like the ball in their hands or at what distance/height in the air. Chemistry is everything.

  2. I see a lot of good points here. Im not sure it would be wise to just PUP a guy this early in pre season.

1- I know we can only bring back one guy from IR. What about PUP how does that work? Let's knock on wood but let's say Wallace goes down and we need to bring Perriman back. I'm so confused lol.

2- If a guy is on PUP. Can he practice with the team and play preseason games if ready?

Also, Perriman doesn't need to perfect the whole playbook yet. All we need is the go route to stretch the field and open up everything for Aiken and our TEs inside. Keep in mind M.Wallace is a bit injury prone himself so Perriman may be our only option at some point.

    Wallace isn't injury prone?

  3. If he passes the condition test before camp ends, then get him in, SSS plays a entirely different game, he is our mid route WR, Perriman is to open the lid on the backend, which will free up more space for SSS....If he gets medical clearance, no sense in waiting, play him ASAP, we drafted him for reason, so lets get him in there......

Exactly. he should be trying as hard as possible to take that conditioning test now that he's running, if he doesn't then that says a lot but his will to play.

  4. I just want Perriman to get on the field as soon as possible. If he started the season on PUP, it's like missing 5-6 games right? If that happens he might not play at all. C'mon Perriman you can do it. ?

OH hell no he's definitely playing this season. As long as he doesn't re-injure his knee he's playing, it may not be until half way through the season but he's gonna play.

Please quit referring to the squealers as black and gold.......look at the colors again......Its black and Yellow................yellow not gold!.....do not mention gold and the squealers in the same sentence.....this is directed to everyone.....the black and yellow sounds like it looks!...Thank You

Actually, no. The official colors of the Pittsburgh Steelers shave been Black and Gold for a long time now.

So calling it Black and Yellow would be inaccurate.

Just because their colors have been CALLED black and yellow for years, doesn't mean tht's what they are. The Ravens are the only team in the NFL who actually have the color gold in their uniforms/logo. It's not inaccurate it's true

  6. Everyone assumes that Kendrick Lewis will make the team.

But based on how Elam and Brooks are playing, maybe they surprise us and cut Lewis and keep the 2 younger safeties.

Lewis is older and more expensive than those 2, and he won't get a lot of playing time behind Weddle and Webby.

I kinda forgot about him, i haven't heard his name on the site other than injury updates. You bring up a good point. Maybe it's possible Brooks and Elam re out performing him

  7. Wallace is going to be such a deep threat this season. Perriman will be back, but when he gets on the field he will still be buried deep in the depth chart. I think that putting him on PUP for the first 6 weeks will be the safest route to go.

Probably the safest but i hope we don't have to wait that long and i don't think we will, but u never know with Perriman. He'll make a toe drag catch and partially tear his MCL. Knock on wood

Moore, and Waller have the deep threat ability we need, and i still believe in Perriman, and hopes he really gets back at full strength, and gets on the field, and does what we drafted him to do....As long as he is a Raven i will support him, and root for him...

Because Waller really strutted his stuff against Carolinas backups right?

Waller did really well. He had 5 catches. Not his fault they didn't send him deep.

As impressive as it is for a 6'6" guy to have 4.4 speed, i certainly wouldn't call him a deep threat.

For me it's the "I don't know what's going on!!" or the misinformation that has frustrated me. Look at the support for Pitta...because we know what's going on with him. I care huge about our team and I like to know how our players are REALLY doing.

    Well said!

What do you not know? He partially tore his ACL, received a stem-cell injection, is running, seemingly close to practicing but no set timetable on a return. That's not what's frustrating, it's that training camp doesn't last forever and he desperately needs the reps. He's basically a rookie.

  10. Yeah, the coaching staff is tired of answering questions about his return. He had this childhood disease Osweiller something........Osgood maybe and after his recent injury they talked surgery but opted for "Stem Cell" injections. Certain the staff are not holding their breath for his return and fans shouldn't either. In evaluating the 2016 Ravens, I did not consider contribution from Perriman. It would be nice, but it would be a bonus.

That's how im looking at it and how all fans should look at it.

  11. i honestly wish these reporters would stop bringing up perriman. Its just a big let down. They need to let us move on and be happy with who we have out there. Expecting perriman to come back is stoping the fans from being positive about the season. Please no more perriman talk unless theres news of him practicing

Agreed. I'd honestly rather just forget that he's on the team so I won't be so pissed at the fact it feels like we wasted a 1st round pick, even if we didn't.

  12. Judging by the way things have gone thus far, I would bet we'll see more of Moore than Perriman this season. Perriman needs at least a week of practice and 1 preseason game before he's even considered playing week 1. He may not be as fast but nonetheless he's fast and he's a deep threat, and quite honestly with Perriman constantly injured and Moore practicing, Moore's been more much more impressive.

  13. A lot of people were suspicious about signing Wallace but he's turned out to be a great signing. We haven't seen him in game yet, but there's something to be said for a guy who is always focused, one of the last guys to leave, HEALTHY, and stays on the field. With the constant flow of injuries in the league, especially us the past couple seasons, it's nice to know that we have a talented WR who has great chemistry with the QB and not as one dimensional as we thought

  14. 1 down 3 to go. Heard Chris Moore is wearing a walking boot, no wonder it's taking so long to come back. I don't care if it's Perriman or Moore, but we need another healthy deep threat to back up Wallace in case of injury. I still can't believe our last years first round pick hasn't even participated in 2 days of TC, smh

That is going to be a strange homecoming of sorts for Tyrod. Hopefully, we keep him in check and that Jimmy can limit any damage that Sammy Watkins may do. After the debacle that was the first 2 games in 2015, winning out of the gate - especially since we're at home - is going to be critical this season.

I doubt it!  I fully expect Tyrod and the Bills to be a handful for the Ravens in week #1.  Unfortunately, I see this as a "L" for our boys on opening day!

LOL, you act they just won the SB, they were 8-8 last season. With us playing at home, much healthier, and an overall better team, I wouldn't expect a ravens fan to say something like that.
