  1. I think he adds more than just "competition" and veteran advice. If he proves himself in camp I don't see a reason why he shouldn't start.
  2. Exactly, they have the same coaching staff, same FO, same qb, rb, and same scheme... sooooo they're not rebuilding, all that's hppened is players are coming back from injury and 3 new players were added. which is good, they were pretty busy this FA but that doesnt mean they rebuilt.
  3. But they improved immensely as the season went on. If they pick up where they left off, we'll be okay. I agree, i dont think that was just a fluke i bileve that we genuinely got better.
  4. I assume ur talking bout me. I was the one saying give him a chance, we haven't seen what he can do yet, he hasn't even played a down yet, give him a break, it doesn't show the player he is, etc. when everyone else was calling him a bust. It's simply just frustration. I was just pointing out how everyone is thinking "who's starting next to Perriman," assuming he's gonna start, when they need to be thinking, "Is Perriman going to be #2 or #3?" or "when is he getting on the field?" And ive learned not to give ur hopes up ON ANY PLAYER, not just him, to just wait and see, and tr not to have any expectations. And i was just sharing that. Oh and t's not just ravens fans, people in general, especally fans of ny team, worry and get angry or fustrated when things hppened that they think my hurt them or the team.
  5. Perrian needs to return to training camp in no less than a week. We keep projecting him to be the starter next to SSS, but the most he has ever done in the nfl is BARELY PRACTICE! he participated in minicamp and 1 day in training camp last season, and only part of minicamp this year. He hasnt even played in a preseason game. As far as im concerned the starters should be Wallace and Aiken with SSS on limited reps and Perrimn as the #4 receiver. I currently have Campanaro higher on the depth chart than him. He actually has in game experience and has proven to be able to make plays when healthy. I have no expectations for Perriman at this point. To me he's a bust until proven otherwise, that way if he doesn't turn ot to be good, i wont be upset or dissapointed.
  6. all we gotta do is just make it to the playoffs, and from there we're good. We've never been eliminated in the first round of the playoffs and we always put up a good fight against the toughest of teams so as long as we can make it there I have no worries
  7. I think the ravens are very real SB contenders this year, but we need a few things to go right on both sides of the ball. On offense we need, Joe back to form, SSS to come back and put up decent numbers and still be able to make a few big plays a game, Perriman to actually get on the field and be the player we thought he was when we drafted him, and good play from the oline to protect joe and effectively run the ball. On defense we an overall better performance from the secondary, more turnovers and a solid passrush attack. If those things go right or at least 90% of them go right, the sky's the limit.
  8. I see what you mean, but Aiken is a sure chain mover and reliable, and u already know what Smith can do. It's going to be interesting to see who the two starting wr's will be. Cants wait for training camp! One thing we know that Smith and Aiken won't do is back the defense up, which opens up the middle of the field and the run game. Also, I don't know if Aiken is a sure chain mover. He was very inconsistent before SSS got hurt. I think his numbers after that were largely due to the high volume of targets he got after being the only WR left from the original roster. I definitely agree that it will be interesting to see not only who gets the most reps at WR and TE, but how Trestman uses everyone. There will be all kinds of different combinations/formations/skillsets to work with. Have you ever seen Aiken drop a pass? When Joe targeted him even when SSS was healthy, he was almost always there and made the play, he couldn't have been inconsistent, he obviously maximized his opportunities, because had he been inconsistent he wouldn't have became joe's favorite target. If he was inconsistent as a #2 receiver he would've definitely been inconsistent as a #1. Yes, I've seen him drop a pass. Before SSS's injury, his receiving yds by week went like this: -1,89,0,77,78,22,6. That's the definition of inconsistency. Steve Bisciotti said that if you told him that Aiken would have more than 900 yds, he would have told you that there must have been a lot of injuries. Maybe Aiken can build off of last season and become a sure chain mover, but I think his numbers last year had a lot to do with the fact that he was our only option. It's not like defenses were game planning for him or even double teaming him. everyone has to start somewhere, defenses didn't give him that much attention because he was basically unknown, but he still produced. It's cut and dry for me... he impressed in training camp last year, made plays as a #2 in the shadows player, then excelled when he became the #1 option. All I've known of him since he became a Ravens is that he makes plays and is a reliable catcher. so forget the number cuz this guy produces
  9. No way we keep eight WR... I count 7, he said Reynolds is either returner or PS Reynold got speed? did u think he was slow?

  12. Aiken is slowly and quietly becoming a top 15 wr in the league, he had nearly a 1k yard receiving yard year last year playing with 4 qb's and didn't become the #1 target until smith went down, and Wallace is a great receiver who's last two teams rarely and improperly utilized him, and Perriman has a lot of potential, so I wouldn't call these players roster fillers, they are all really good players.
  13. I went to the barbershop a couple hours ago and guess who I seen... MICHAEL CAMPANARO! Someone was in my barbers chair when I arrived and after about 5 minutes, I went over to sit in one of the empty chairs across from him. I was on my phone for like 5 minutes and then realized who he was. I only said wassup to him, I didn't take a picture or ask anything about the team because I didn't want to seem corny because everyone else was cool about it like he was just another customer, but when he left me and my barber talked about him a little bit and he told me he said he was fully recovered and ready to go. I didn't hear them talk about football that much so that's all I really know. Just wanted to share that experience. If anyone wants to know, the barber shop is "supreme cuts" located in Elkridge MD. Also as a side note, when Ray Rice was on the team, he went to that shop(never met him tho), and another barber who works there named Nick is like Forsett's personal barber. There was even a feature story on him once or something like that. So cool because my dad owns that shop so ive been raised around there, and the fact that ravens players go there too is cool
  14. SSS, Wallace, Perriman, Aiken, Moore, Campanaro, Butler. I think Reynolds either goes on the practice squad or beats out Clay for the return man position

  16. now im not sure why the ravens drafted kamalei correa, if hes moved to ILB, then now were going to have to rely on a 5th round pick and a UDFA, to help Doom, and Suggs, who may not be the same player returning from injury, which means they may have to start, and that's a lot to ask of them.
  17. Many scouts said they see him as an ILB, and compared him to clay Matthews so don't be surprised if he's officialy moved there
  18. I hope the doubters and naysayers continue to talk because being the underdog always made us better, it gave us a chip on our shoulder which is where we used to get our swagg from, and we need to get that swagg back. Remember last year how everyone was hyping us and picking us to go to the superbowl? and u see how that turned out.
  19. Well, it is only partially torn, there's still 3 months before the first game, he may not need surgery, and ACL injuries are increasingly becoming easier to come back from. Lets hope for the best, maybe he just won't be able to play week 1, but a return somewhere within the first 4 weeks would be great and i think it's very possible, plus we have Mike Wallace and Chris Moore to fill his spot so i'm not too worried about the offense's production, I'm just dissapointed that this is now his second year on the team, and we've only seen him catching passes in shorts. He has no nfl game experience whatsoever and he's expected to play a big part of the team, but i don't see it.
  20. Cause we are NOT a Diva franchise.... Agreed, take the L and move on
  21. It was a very costly mistake. I think it's dumb to penalize a team that heavily over wearing pads for 5 minute, but just pay the fines and get in as much work as possible with the OTA days you have and move on... lesson learned, it's not that big of a deal.
  22. This is what WR's I think make the roster: SSS, Perriman, Wallace, Aiken, Campanaro, Moore, and Butler.
  23. Good thing its up to him to prove all the nay-sayers wrong. When we first drafted him I did not even know his name because I never heard it before so I was like ???WHO? but he has a motor and now he has coaches and tutors (SIZZLE AND DOOM) to help him out He moved up to Mike Mayock's top 5 edge rushers within the last 2 or so weeks before the draft. I've heard of him.
  24. CB Chris Culliver was cut by the redskins, not too familiar with his game and ho good he is, but I've heard his name before.
  25. I have to assume that the Ravens didn't use their first round pick on a WR that can only go deep, I would hope he can route a broader route tree.
