FINALLY, a "What They Said After...." article which makes me happy. So many of these articles regarding what the opposition had to say about the game after they beat us was like throwing salt in my wound. It's fun to read this one, not only because of getting another elusive win, but the win was against our rivals, the Steelers, who had a heartbreaking wrench thrown in their playoff run. I feel all warm and fuzzy inside now, savoring this season's rare opportunity to gloat. Oh happy day.

Harrison knew exactly what he was doing, trying to take Mallett out of the game. It was a shock and a threat to the Steelers to see Mallett come in there and command our offense with confidence and competence. Harrison was aiming for a knockout blow and the refs totally blew a legit call against him. Luckily, Mallett was ok but I have no doubt about Harrison's intent to injure Mallett.

I watch games from home and I was so proud to hear the M&T Ravens fans so enthusiastic, loud and clear throughout the game. I was afraid of having to tolerate the sound of a Steeler fan invasion through the TV. The Ravens played with heart but they were also cheered on by the loud, loyal Baltimore fans who defended the bank from a hostile takeover. Thanks to all of you boisterous fans for cheering our team on vehemently and pumping up our players to get this very glorious victory against the rival Steelers.

After such a depressing season with so little to be happy about, I am feeling content to have at least gone toe to toe with 1 of the hottest teams in the NFL....and won, especially with a brand new backup QB and many backup players. To mess with the Steelers playoff dreams by sweeping them is enough to make this win very gratifying. Most important, after this win, I feel more optimistic about the Ravens bouncing back next year and being back in the playoff hunt again.

Jimmy should have asked for a new car...or at least a new big screen tv. lol. How many times in a career do you get a 100 yard pick 6? Thank goodness we won despite that huge mistake.

This win was sweet. The icing on the cake was to jeopardize the Steelers playoff quest and to shut up all the traveling Steelers fans who had plans to take over M&T and rub our bad season in our faces. The off season will be easier to tolerate from Steeler fans. Feeling much better about the future of the Ravens with Mallett as the backup as well. Kudos to the players and coaches for continuing to fight every game despite being discouraged and never giving up or giving in.

Great to see Sizzle pumping up the fans, not to mention his teammates. It will be great to see you back next year Sizzle

This is a happy day. Sweeping the Steelers and possibly knocking them out of the playoffs is a nice belated Xmas present. The mentality of the Ravens was to fight as though it was our playoff spot at stake.

Mallett looked confident and in control of the offense from the first snap. Amazing accomplishment to have pulled that off after only 12 days as a Raven. Will be a solid backup, especially if Joe isn't 100% pre-season. Makes me more confident about the unknown timing of Joe's rehab progress.

Ravens win.Jets just won. It's a great day to disappoint the Steelers

Happy for all of the players, especially Mallett in his first shot as a Raven.

Mallett must be 1 very self assured QB to command the offense this well in 12 days with the team. Hope Mallett can be past all of his prior attitude nonsense because he has some serious skills

Jimmy just redeemed himself a bit with that interception. Maybe it will fire him up for the rest of the game to play sharper

The refs missed call on Harrison's foul/hit on Mallett is inexcusable. The Steelers know Mallett is a real threat and Harrison was trying to take him out

If a Steelers fan accidently hit me with their stinking towel I may not be able to control my impulse to grab it and rip it up.

I love the fact that, despite such a crummy year, the Ravens are out there fighting. The rivalry is alive and well. I will so happy if we can pull out a win
