  1. Joe's strong throws are impressive on all of the videos. Joe has incredibly consistent tight spirals and some of them zing to his target receivers like bullets. Joe's deep ball bombs can be a thing of beauty. I consider his bombs among the best, if not THE BEST in the league.
  2. Ranked 17th for QB/RB/WR triplet? It's about more than 1QB, 1 WR and 1 RB. This offense will find success with a variety of playmakers and cause headaches for opposing defenses. Don't care about "triplets". I care about the offense as a whole, being balanced and effective. The entire Ravens offense could be top 10 this year...or even top 5.
  3. Released 6 times in 3 years has got to be frustrating so I am glad to hear his confidence never waivered. Every single report on Aiken raves about what he is producing on the field so I am optimistic that Kamar will lock down that roster spot as a starter.
  4. Hope we have a great Baltimore turnout at the Aug 3 M&T open practice. I am definitely going this year, no ifs, ands or buts.
  5. Really looking forward to the open practice at M&T. I especially want to see these exciting new young players with my own 2 eyes, along with the vets, and check out how well the offense and defense are clicking. Can't wait. I am more pumped than ever this year cuz we could very well be creating 1 of our best and most balanced teams ever.
  6. From what is reported, so much depth at so many positions may be 1 of the biggest keys to a successful season. Injuries will happen but so many injuries ended our playoff run last year. To hear Pees say that there isn't a huge difference between players on the depth chart and that many can play multiple positions is a HUGE relief. We are going to need that depth sooner or later somewhere. This appears to be shaping up as pretty well balanced team so far on both sides of the ball. If the injury bug isn't excessive, the Ravens are going to be a potent and dangerous force to be reckoned with.
  7. It is music to my ears to hear Pees say that there is more competition in various spots than he has ever seen before. Perhaps need to reserve judgment on individual players though until we see who is actually going to be effective, meaning contest the catch, tackle etc.. Looks like things will improve but, more than any other position, the level of play in the secondary coverage won't reveal who rises to the top til we get in to pads with some contact.
  8. Of course I realize there's a world of difference between OTAs and games or when contact is allowed. Will stand by my statement though about Perriman. I believe he will end up becoming an outstanding WR. Just sayin' too
  9. The media does not give much love to the Ravens. However, 5 prime time Ravens games acknowledges the reality that the Ravens are viewed as contenders and will be right up there with the "media darling teams" and are worthy of those primo game times. Looks like the Ravens may likely be worthy of playoffs and a Super Bowl prime time game as well.
  10. Reassuring news about Perriman consistently securing the ball. All the media hoopla about drops hurt Perriman's draft status but it actually helped him fall to us. Not worried about Perriman coming up big for the Ravens this year and for years to come. Perriman is going to be an outstanding WR.
  11. Health-wise, Welker is more likely to be bust than a help. With multiple concussions, Welker's durability is a valid concern. A slot receiver would help the offense but we will be better off developing our own young guys with Camp or Carter. It will be tough enough to cut some of these talented young WRs anyway, why take the roster spot for Welker causing another WR to be cut?
  12. If the media has free reign to video during media day, the footage is out there anyway. If that's the case, there should be plenty of video to choose from. It would be nice to share more on the website if there is no additional exposure to other teams than already exists. I get a much better feel for a player watching some plays than having them described to me. A visual gives so much more info than the written word.
  13. I would really like to see more videos or longer clips of the TEs and WRs. Maybe the Ravens don't want to put much footage out there for other teams to see???? If that's not an issue, like if there's a lot of video at media days anyway, please give a bit more video of multiple catches per player rather than mostly just have to read about it. The videos that are on the website are great and I think fan interest in this year's players is higher than ever. Keep the videos coming.
  14. What a great group of young players at TE. Mostly, what a great problem it is for the Ravens to have so much talent to chose from and build upon. Some potential beasts in this mix.
  15. Good topic and question busterblue. Still thinking about who and why but echo with the Harbs, Biscotti and Ozzie sentiments. I am a business owner also and have always been curious about their decision making and juggling acts. The player that pops out initially would be Ray Lewis but back at you later after the brain cells settle in on who.
  16. Am I the only fan in the Twilight Zone? I STILL can't get past page 1 on this article but all the other articles advance normally. Mod 3, strange that you can advance the pages. Are you telling me a Poltergeist is responsible for this mystery? Or do I suffer from temporary insanity only when I go back to the Byrne article? Or is my computer stupid (not me of course). If anyone else has a problem advancing pages on only this article, please let me know.
  17. Is anyone else having a problem with being unable to advance from page 1 of these comments? Is there a website person who fixes these types of things? Doesn't seem to be happening on the other articles.
  18. I know that every year guys are out there competing to win a spot on the roster. For some reason, this year it seems like the competition is amped up a notch with more quality players who have a chance to not just make the roster but to win starting roles. Feels so different this year to witness an abundance of high caliber candidates on offense as well, like the WR and TE talent fighting for starting roles. Is it just me or do you other folks also feel that this off season seems so much more exciting to follow? It's been fun for me to watch this 2015 team taking shape.
  19. Perhaps it's flattering to have some pundits giving the Ravens pre season props. However, I don't trust that most won't revert to the annual sport of ripping the Ravens to shreds at the first sign of any weakness or imperfection. Will see if any pundits will maintain their confidence in the Ravens and are still on the bus by mid season if we have any bumps in the road. Meanwhile, the Ravens will once again persevere and battle our way back to the playoffs regardless of whether the pundits love us or hate us.
  20. Justin Forsett's response to why a NFL player would be looking for a deal on commercial flights is PERFECT..... "because I won't be in the NFL forever". I recall an article way before the big contract saying that Justin liked going out to dinner at Chipotle. Glad to see his attitude has stayed down to earth and frugal. Too many stories out there of pro athletes going broke after blowing their fortunes. Justin would make a terrific coach just in case a ministry gig doesn't pan out. Would love it if Justin found a way to work in some capacity for the Ravens. He's one fine player and a gem of a human being.
  21. Daryl Smith has really been a tremendous unsung hero for us. Couldn't be any bigger shoes to fill than those of Ray Lewis and Daryl just stepped in, day in and day out doing his job providing continuity to the defense. Glad to see Daryl Smith getting some much deserved acknowledgment and praise.
  22. Whether this is the last season for SSS or whether he plays for a few more years, I really appreciate the fact that SSS is showing by example the best possible attitude for these young players to emulate. After 15 years, SSS is going to OTAs and busting his buns every day making plays while transferring his extensive knowledge to young teammates. I love it that SSS is showing these young (and even the older) guys that he savors and appreciates every moment he has left in the NFL. What better gift or legacy could SSS be giving this team with his passion and dedication?
  23. So true that Flacco has always been asked to do more with LESS than other QBs. Exactly the reason I can't wait to see what more Joe can do with MORE.
  24. I am actually very relieved to know SSS is out there on the field right now with these young players. Who could possibly be a better role model to help these receivers develop their skills? Even more important, who is better equipped than SSS to instill the passion and intensity for this game, starting on day 1 of OTAS? Grateful that SSS is showing this level of leadership.
  25. With the mindset throughout the NFL of a low tolerance for players who can't stay healthy, Baltimore must be 1 of the most difficult teams for an injured WR or TE to make the roster. There is an abundance of young talent ready to fight for those spots so the normal level of limited tolerance might be even lower this year. Hate to see any young player set back by injuries which could actually derail their career before it really gets started. Hope Camp heals quickly and stays healthy, along with hoping that both the young and vet players get through the off season with minimal injuries. It has been exciting to keep tabs on the competition for these roster spots.
