  1. I was already annoyed enough remembering the last 2 losses, now you have to remind me it's actually 3 losses in a row to the Bungals? How can that even happen? They have obviously have figured out how to play us well so we had better be ready with some new looks to put them back in the loss column this year.
  2. Yipes. Another good social media option which I will probably never figure out how to use and enjoy. I am not in the "13-34" target age group and have no idea of what snapchat is so maybe I can be excused for my ignorance? I can barely work my phone and computer.
  3. I absolutely agree that I really hope Ray Rice gets another chance in the NFL. However, Ray didn't make "one little mistake", he made a HUGE mistake. That being said, as a man, Ray could not have done any more to redeem himself. Ray did all he could to support efforts to help with DV awareness and made sure that his DV incident was an ISOLATED incident. If anyone deserves a second chance, it's Ray. There's nothing more that Ray could have done to show that he has made amends in every single way possible. His age, lack of production his last full season etc. may be the factors that unfortunately cause teams to decide the upside may not be worth the backlash. I feel so bad for Ray. As training camp proceeds, I just hope some team sees that Ray is worth a shot and picks him up.
  4. Losing both games to the Bengals last year still leaves a bad taste in my mouth. We need to return the favor this year and win both matchups.
  5. Props to "A CALL FOR MEN". Ray Rice Is not the monster as bashed in the media ever since the DV incident. It is good to know that there is a DV group out there able to distinguish between a habitual abuser and a basically good man who royally screwed up, has redeemed himself and deserves a second chance. They certainly have my respect to show their support for Ray publically. Best wishes to Ray.
  6. Steve is smart to not let the Raven's organization get sucked in to the DeflateGate controversy and keep our focus on being ready for the season. However, I LOVE seeing the Pats perched upon their mighty throne, the well deserved, smokin' HOT SEAT.
  7. LUXURY is exactly the right word to describe Joe, a solid, successful and arguably elite QB who gives us a legit chance each and every year to be in contention. Can't ask for more than that.
  8. Wagner did a tremendous job for us. Getting him back healthy and ready to roll will be huge.
  9. Great response to settle the matter,Torrey. That Raven's purple poop looks dangerously close to a very edible pile of soft serve ice cream. Just sayin'
  10. Really looking forward to a healthy season for Jimmy to help get us over the hump and back to the Super Bowl. Off topic, but the 2014 Ravens show on the NFL network just aired. If you want to get psyched up for 2015, make sure you don't miss the replay of it real late tonight or DVR it. Check the listings. You DON'T want to miss this excellent look at last season. If you can tolerate getting any more amped than you already are for the 2015 season, this coverage will do it for ya.
  11. Excellent show. Makes me sooooo excited for the new season to get here. Don't miss this show! It's coming on again so check the listings on the NFL network and DVR it if the only replay is late. thanks Berad for the heads up.
  12. In addition to loving his play on the field, I love how SSS jumped right in and so quickly adopted and embraced the Baltimore community.
  13. Typical and predictable snub on Joe. Not worried about Joe excelling. I do think Joe will be more consistent during the regular season this year but Joe's perceived success depends largely upon his receiving corps. If these inexperienced new receivers can have relative success given the disadvantage of their youth, such as hang on to the ball and run their routes, etc, Joe will light it up this year.
  14. Perhaps someone with an overinflated wallet combined with an overinflated ego? The other possibility could be someone with the overinflated wallet combined with underinflated common sense?
  15. As a kid I went to many Colt games with my father and I learned to love football. When the Colts drove away in the middle of the night, all of Baltimore was stunned, angry and praying that 1 day we would get another NFL team. Thanks to Art Modell, Baltimore was able to celebrate getting another team. Yes, the NFL screwed up big time. Small market Baltimore fans are among the most appreciative and enthusiastic football fans anywhere. Ravens football is here to stay.
  16. I am sure that some of these personal milestones will be added incentive on top of the team goals to kick some booty this season all the way to and thru the playoffs. Congrats on your marriage and welcome back from your honeymoon. Hope you had a blast.
  17. Years ago, I was hoping Rex would have become the HC but in hindsight, I admit that choice would have been the wrong one. Seeing Rex's antics as he parachutes to earth does make me smile. However, now that we have Harbaugh, there's no way I would want another coach for the Ravens, including Bilichick and Carroll. Harbaugh is the best man for the HC job hands down.
  18. It would have been nice if the guy who found the ring received a reward for returning it to the owner. However, that's not what happened. The guy found the ring and he had no intention of giving it back to the owner but intended to keep it and profit from it. Since this was a newsworthy ring, this guy knew exactly who it belonged to and how upset she was. Perhaps he held on to it to have the publicity die down before he tried to sell it but he had 9 months for his conscience to kick in and rethink it that maybe he should return it to Toni. Certainly, within that 9 months, this guy had ample opportunity to research the law and find out that it was against the law for him to keep it and against the law for him to fail to come forward and inform her that he had the ring. Within that 9 months, either he knew he was breaking the law or should have known by then. At any time he could have looked inside the ring and found the name of the owner if he "forgot" and could have called the castle once he found out that he was breaking the law rather than keeping it anyway. Instead, this guy went to knowingly sell/trade a ring which did not belong to him. The fact that he turned white when Toni showed up says it all. So, I could see deserving or appreciating a reward if he returned it but even then, he still wouldn't be ENTITLED to a reward. Doing the right thing should be enough. I think he knew full well he was not legally entitled to keep the ring but tried to get away with it anyway. That's a dirtbag in my book.
  19. Probably 1 of the wisest organizational investments will be to keep seeking out the absolute best health professionals in injury prevention, proper conditioning, physical therapy etc.. Sports and medicine are both evolving rapidly and discovering more effective ways to prevent and heal from injuries. Glad to hear that the Ravens are taking an active role in pursuing the most advanced treatments with a multi-disciplined approach. Injuries are an unpredictable reality of the game so it is critical to control any possible factor they can, whether it be to reduce the number of injuries or enhance the healing process.
  20. Although it was a smart PR move, Smyth was far more gracious than I would have been giving that jerk an engagement ring. I would have told this dirtbag to take a hike and consider himself lucky that he wasn't arrested. Total lack of personal integrity to seek out this missing ring which he knew meant a lot to someone, then plan to profit from the opportunity rather than return it to the rightful owner. So much for those warm and fuzzy random acts of kindness or human decency.
  21. It's more likely that Torrey could have more individual receiving yards because Perriman is a rookie, may not start in the beginning, etc. I really could care less about who has more. What I do care about and hope for is that the ball is spread around among this talented group of WRs, TEs and even RB's to maximize our ability to create confusion and coverage nightmares for the defenses we face. Our success will be based more on collective team yards rather than an individual or 2 racking up huge numbers.
  22. Ryan, another captivating, outstanding article profiling a Raven. When we come to know some players with personal hardship, perseverance and resulting high character to expose a man truly worthy of respect, it is quite easy to endear that player even more to the fan base. I knew a little about Allen's struggles but this excellent article allowed me to further appreciate and push Allen high on my list of players to especially root for.
  23. Sam Koch has his head on straight. Knows he was paid good money and that the value of his family's happiness is worth more than the "Almighty Dollar".
  24. I certainly can envision multiple Super Bowl wins within the next decade. If the FO can fine tune the successful drafting and signing of offensive gems as well as they have done defensively, the Ravens will emerge as a truly balanced team to be a threat for years to come. I have always loved the defensive side of the game. For the first time, I am starting to feel really confident in our offensive potential and I have high hopes that this offense is poised for greatness in the near future.
  25. I would imagine that there aren't many QB's in the NFL who could be as easy as Joe to get along with. Joe's quiet confidence and lack of ego is evident. He doesn't feel the need to prove to the back ups who is the alpha male, top dog, etc.. It's reassuring that Joe is so mellow, doesn't feel threatened and makes the backups feel comfortable so they can work together for the betterment of the team. Matt has a lot of knowledge and experience regarding this offensive system and can help us grow.
