Burfict is the ultimate head hunting dirtbag. Hope the league hammers him with fines and a suspension which goes in to next season. His hit on Antonio Brown was soooo intentional, not to mention incredibly stupid. Even the commentators on the post game show, ex players and ex head coaches are livid and fed up with his antics saying Burfict is a danger on the field and out of control. They are right.

A minute left. This game is getting nuts at the end. Sure wish both could be eliminated tonight. Some nastiness going on there. Injured Ben coming back in. Hate both teams but an entertaining game.

Butler has potential and impressed me for sure. Matthews is 1 I am keeping my eye on also. Who knows, some of these guys could end up as very capable contributors next year. Hope so.

Smart move. This would have been a particularly bad time to raise ticket prices. There's no better way to show appreciation to the fans for continuing to support the team despite a very disappointing season than to hold steady on ticket prices.

So true Grapple. I just hope that the offense strikes a balance in play calling and targets next season. We were a bit too predictable, even before the injuries, knowing that SSS was Joe's primary target. Trestman has had a year under his belt and gotten to know the strengths and weaknesses a bit better, team-wise and player-wise. I agree that we need to spread the ball out more for health and strategy reasons, including mixing in more run plays. Joe relied so heavily on SSS and that just can't happen next year if we want to maximize productivity and to avoid the overuse of SSS coming back from a major injury. When offense or defense becomes too predictable, we shoot ourselves in the foot and it gets on my nerves. If we fans can predict the play or target, certainly the opposition can too. Hoping next year the OC and DC can fine tune how they are juggling their players and play calling to out coach the opposition. If so, our individual players are going to find increased success, meaning we will be winning a heck of a lot more games. And, to state the obvious, I rather enjoy winning...... and never want to get used to losing.

I hope that Aiken continues to be a solid player for us. In the last half of the season, Aiken was covered by the opponent's best defenders since injuries forced him in to the #1 WR spot. When SSS and Perriman come back, they are likely to get the bulk of attention from the top CBs so Aiken could be a very viable asset and successful target. Aiken really stepped up when we needed him to this year. He has made some tough catches, taken some brutal hits, just shook off the pain and went on to the next play. Hope Aiken fits well with our plans and schemes next year. Aiken worked his backside off and has proved he can play as tough as any Raven.

"They expect him to be fully recovered and ready to start this offseason" per Ozzie regarding Perriman. Does this mean that Perriman is still currently in recovery mode? I really hope Perriman can put this injury behind him soon and be ready to create havoc and burn right by defenders next year.

I noticed a significant improvement in the defense the 2nd half of the season. However, I still can't wrap my head around the ranking of 2nd best overall defense for the latter half. I understand the stats contributing to this ranking but I just don't feel confident that the Ravens defense is anywhere near the dominant force we need it to be.

I was watching it on my computer. Cut on me at least 20 times so I missed a lot of the video. Seems like just when a question I wanted to hear the answer to was asked it would stop. LOL now but I was getting really frustrated at the time.

Well, Mod 3, since my computer kept cutting off the State of the Ravens video,I missed many comments, including the 1 you posted. Could you and the other Mods make sure that there is a link to the full video tomorrow? It was very frustrating and it appears as though others had the same problem. This is an important video and I am sure the many fans who could not watch/hear it today or were cut off constantly would like to access the entire thing. What was the problem with the video? Drove me nuts.

Good to get this contrasting perspective from Forsett regarding the morale/effort collapse or decline of other losing teams compared to the " keep fighting" mindset maintained by the Ravens. Despite the strain by losing so many games, the ability and determination to keep morale high, fight as a unified team and preserve a winning culture is pretty amazing to me. I am very hopeful that seeking and demanding this high standard will be a huge factor in our ability to successfully rebound next year.

Eric DeCosta, thanks for your continued loyalty to the Ravens. It is refreshing to know what a high value you place on your relationships, your team and love of the Baltimore community, above just monetary considerations. The evolution of the GM job to you will happen 1 day. Til then, please help us nail the draft this year and have fun pulling pranks on your co-workers.

It's very good news indeed that Joe's rehab and recovery is proceeding smoothly. Sounds like Joe is diligently working hard but being smart about not overdoing it. It's good that Joe is working out so often at the UA center. It's also a positive thing to do so among his teammates, for them to see how determined their QB is to rehab and be ready for next season. Keep it up and good luck Joe.

I realize that the defense improved significantly in the latter half of the season and second defense in the league during that time is quite a turnaround. However, IMO, we still have lots of areas to improve upon defensively ( as well as offensively) if the Ravens hope to be back in contention next year.

It may be troubling to Suggs that he is still in a boot and that SSS has his off already with the same injury that occurred 2 months earlier. I wonder whether Suggs feels that he is not healing as well or as quickly as he had hoped. That could possibly bum him out or worry him about being able to make a come back and being forced to consider retirement. I wish Suggs well and hope he is able to return fully healthy, although the article is cause for concern.

Great sincere last locker room speech by Harbs. I think they play hard with everything they've got next year and hopefully find a significantly improved result. Harbs did a great job holding this team together through the worst case scenario of wins and mostly losses. I have gained more respect for Harbs for accomplishing a team that stuck together through very tough times.

I am the last 1 on the planet to doubt what SSS may be able to accomplish after a serious injury and extensive rehab at the age of 37. SSS's general physical condition is better than some players much younger. Sure, this is a tough injury to recover from physically at his age, or any age. However, SSS's determination, passion for the game, feisty nature and mental toughness are so off the charts that it would not surprise me if SSS plays like he's on fire next season, just to prove to any doubters what this "old man" can accomplish. Time will tell if his body obeys or betrays him but if there was ever a competitor with the desire to do the improbable or impossible, SSS is an extraordinary player who might just pull off a truly amazing comeback.

Hope that every one of our players with a major injury and a long road of intensive rehab ahead of them are able to come back healthy, strong and ready to do their part (along with new additions to the team), to reclaim our position as a top tier team who can compete and win against any opponent. Need injured guys back healthy and ready to roll.
