  1. Thrilled to see how well our TE's are adapting to the NFL level of play. It's a steep learning curve at the TE position so I am very pleased that all 3 are already out there competing at a fairly high level. Lots to learn yet but our future looks bright, if not brilliant, at the TE position.
  2. These comments by Harbs have now gotten national coverage. LOL. Meanwhile, I can barely find any national coverage of this exciting 2015 Ravens team amid the Pats, Cowboys, etc Lovefest. What's wrong with this picture? Sheesh
  3. Great article Kevin. Contrary to many who think SSS should have waited to announce his retirement, I am glad he did so before the season. SSS's quote to the team was perfect and can set the tone for the entire season. "I plan to leave a trail of destruction behind...It's going to be my honor and privilege to do that with all of you". If every player remembers and adopts that mentality every practice and game throughout the season, that's 1 powerful, tough mindset to sustain motivation.
  4. Back ups on defense exposed our biggest needs for improvement last night. On the bright side, there's nothing like seeing film study of their own coverage mistakes for the young back ups to make the needed corrections. I expect many of the technique and coverage issues to vastly improve before the season starts.
  5. First team offense and defense knocked my socks off and actually exceeded my very high expectations. Just stay healthy. Couldn't have asked for a more reaffirming performance to know that this team has the makings of a Super Bowl contender....and winner.
  6. Joe was rock-steady, confident and in total command that first drive. Trestman and Joe are seem to be a good combo. Was worried that Juice wasn't going to be utilized much in the Trestman offense so I was thrilled to see Juice involved from the get go. First string on both sides of the ball was impressive.
  7. Davis is one of the few back ups looking good out there. Whew. Just heard cramping.... not injury. Scared me
  8. Harbs is going to raising a little hell during half time.
  9. Allen may be feeling some nerves tonight.
  10. Maybe we Ravens fans can give Schaub a little love now and perhaps he ain't too shabby of a backup.
  11. Hoping Schaub plays decent tonight. The man needs to build some confidence and I want good catchable balls to our receivers. C'mon Matt. Rooting for you
  12. Offense looking good. Glad to see Juice get some reps, along with Gilmore. C'mon, get this TD.
  13. My heart goes out to you Grapple. No Ravens coverage and stuck with Brady/Pats. Torture.
  14. Glad to see Joe is at least mentioned in the MVP discussion, rather than totally ignored, as usual. If our young WR's and TE's can get up to NFL level fairly quickly, Joe is going to have a stellar year. From what I've read and seen, Joe is looking terrific so hoping some of these young receivers will soon become stand out, sure handed receivers to help achieve the great offensive year we have the potential for.
  15. Really looking forward to seeing these new and old players gel in a game situation. Stay healthy tonight. Something special is brewing in Baltimore this year. Ravens are going to be dominant and balanced enough to go all the way.
  16. I have never heard another athlete with a more entertaining barrage of witty, blunt and true laugh out loud sound bites than SSS. Seems like SSS is going to be in rare form all during his final season with memorable 1 liners. I'm sure SSS is going to be raising hell on the field as well. This is going to be a fun year to be a Raven's fan. Keep it coming SSS.
  17. As soon as I heard SSS announce his retirement, I (along with probably all of Baltimore) had an immediate association with Ray's retirement and the magical ride to the Super Bowl victory. I do think every player is going to dig a little deeper and personally challenge themselves to go way above and beyond to send SSS out in a blaze of glory, hoisting the Lombardi.
  18. Even before SSS announced his retirement, his role as a mentor was extremely important to get the receivers NFL ready. Now that the clock has a timer set, SSS is downright critical to transition the offense as seasoned vets for the future. I have never seen any player join the team and in the span of 1 year, become as vital to the team and as loved by fans as SSS. Perhaps the Ring of Honor is reserved only for those players who spent the vast majority of their successful careers as Ravens. However, in my mind, SSS will always be 1 of the Ravens I hold in the highest esteem and he is definitely belongs in my Ring of Honor. SSS has the heart of a Raven.
  19. If there's any player that can rally the Ravens for a Super Bowl run, it's SSS. This retirement announcement just added fuel to the motivational fire. Let's get that ring. Damn, I am going to miss SSS big time. Hoping SSS leaves his tough, passionate imprint permanently on every player on this team. SSS is the epitome of what it means to "Play like a Raven".
  20. Crockett Gilmore is at the top of my watch list for a "breakout" season. I am glad to hear his confidence clearly come through in interviews. Can't wait to see what he can do in a starting role. Huge potential.
  21. I can think of only 1 thing which could possibly threaten my confidence in the 2015 Ravens...and that is a multitude of serious injuries. We need to practice hard but please stay healthy everyone. I know injuries are part of the game but we need to get through Training Camp relatively intact. Last year was a bitter pill and I don't want a ton of injuries to bite us in the backside cuz if we can stay healthy the Super Bowl is a realistic, achievable goal. Praying for a healthy roster. Amen.
  22. In my opinion, Joe has the strongest arm in the NFL. As Joe gets older, even if he loses a bit of arm strength, his rocket arm should still be at least as strong as most of the younger QB's in the league. Joe has a lot of premier, ELITE years left in what I hope will be a very long career in Baltimore. I do believe Joe is just entering his prime and his most impressive and successful years are still ahead of him.
  23. I sure hope Yanda is still playing 5 more years and beyond. Hopefully, he will do so as a Raven. Yanda has certainly earned his place in the top 10 players in Ravens history.
  24. You never know what the future holds. There may come a time when you want to cross back over a bridge you chose to burn. Beyond all other considerations, a less than amicable exit may have torched that bridge and decreased the likelihood of Pollards's possible return. It's too bad because I really liked the fire he brought to the defense (minus the penalties).
