  1. Maybe Joe doesn't like to watch his commercials but IMO, his Pepsi Party Fail is 1 of the best and funniest sports celebrity commercials of all time.
  2. I savored each and every moment when Brady got hammered, especially the abundance of slow motion replays. Denver's defense did a great job keeping relentless pressure on Brady all game. The thing I really cared about most this weekend was to have the Pats eliminated. Brady on his backside is a beautiful sight.
  3. I just finished viewing 4 or 5 recent Ray Rice interviews from the link above. There is no player in the league or NFL representative who comes even close to addressing the domestic violence issue with the clarity, humility, sincerity and openness than Ray Rice. Although I was so disappointed with Ray when his DV incident occurred, I could not be prouder than I am of the way he has manned up and taken on this issue beyond just trying to save his own career and reputation, but he is trying to make a real difference in the lives of others also. I truly respect Ray Rice for publicly facing his humiliation head on, changing his life and dedicating so much effort and concern to put his own failures front and center to make a difference with everyone he can reach. Hats off to Ray, for the man he is determined to become and the perseverance in his efforts to redeem himself.
  4. Joe is a smart and realistic guy. Joe wants to win and knows it takes $ to field the best team around him. I'm hopeful that Joe's agent has gotten the message loud and clear to get this reasonable deal done without contention or unnecessary delays.
  5. So true cobrajet, kids can certainly have a mind of their own. On the flipside, there are kids like I was. I can recall that when I was growing up, my own opinions and passions were often determined by whatever my parents did or thought,......then I made sure I did or proclaimed to think the exact opposite. Probably the only thing we agreed on was the Colts and the Orioles. LOL
  6. Thanks budman. I have read and heard about some support for Ray Rice through the NFLPA and DV groups over the past few months, which I was glad to see. I just like that now there is a more visible role for Ray which is garnishing some national publicity as a show of this support, which I hope generates more opportunities for Ray to be involved again in football. Just hoping that the massive volume of negativity starts to subside and that Ray is able to really make positive contributions, have a career in football in some capacity and let the world revise their opinion of him and see Ray for the decent, good and genuine man he really is.
  7. Ed Reed's kid a Patriots Fan? Ed must be asking himself the universal parental question, "Oh, where did I go wrong?" LOL
  8. Ray Rice had offered to help and work with the NFL months ago with Domestic Violence in young players but nothing seemed to come of it. I am glad that the NFLPA finally at least found a coaching role for Ray and it's a step in a positive direction. Ray Rice has done all a man can do to genuinely redeem himself. I am thrilled that Ray is reconnected in some role to the NFL, which could hopefully open up some doors in the future. Whether it be coaching or educating rather than playing, Ray Rice has a lot to offer. Good luck Ray.
  9. This is the kind of response from the NFL I have been waiting for. Ray Rice has so much to offer these young players. If anybody can get through to a bunch of young players, it's Ray.
  10. The positive stats chosen for the article are reasons to feel optimistic about the team next year. However, there are other unflattering or troublesome stats as well and those bad statistical categories are where we need to focus if we have hopes of contending again, such as the lack of turnovers. All stats, good and bad, need to be evaluated as a whole for meaningful improvements but in a 5-11 season, it's nice to spend a moment on some things we did well despite this very disappointing season.
  11. When healthy, Camp has been a great playmaker with a unique skill set, which could really add to the depth of offensive weapons going forward. I agree that this is a make or break year in regards to proving that he can stay healthy enough. I still have a lot of confidence in Camp's abilities and I hope that this season he turns the corner injury wise because thus far, there's a valid question regarding confidence in his durability. If healthy, Camp could be a very big contributor to our offensive success. Other good players in the league have gotten past the early career injury bug so I haven't given up on Camp yet but this year is critical to get and stay healthy for Camp.
  12. A Patriots loss would make me extremely happy. A follow up loss by the Steelers would be a double whammy, a satisfying weekend of football. If the Ravens aren't in the playoffs, I will have to settle for hoping our foes crash and burn.
  13. I found Urschel's dance moves more tongue and cheek fun than sensual, but what do I know? I do like that Urschel is throwing down the dancing gauntlet to his teammates. So far, Brandon Williams gets my "Top Dog" dancer of the group. Urschel is 1 pretty special and rare mix of talent of brains and brawn, not to mention he's now a "get down and funky" dance-meister as well..
  14. Although some realistically feel that Ed is not a good fit for the Ravens, I still maintain hope that 1 day Ed will find his way back home to Baltimore. Good luck on your new coaching adventure Ed.
  15. Burfict's 10% of bad flaws are 100% of the reason he isn't worth the trouble.
  16. There is a lot of negative focus on not only the Bengals, but the Steelers as well, after the out of control playoff game. I think the reputations of both teams will be damaged further for years with accusations of dirty players tolerated, lack of discipline, etc. I am glad that the Ravens organization is not the current national focus of this scorn, distraction and controversy.
  17. Grapple, all 3 links in your post are great. Thanks.
  18. The technology is instantly available to get the vast majority of these calls right without dragging the games out. If there is a central group of capable refs in NY or wherever, their expertise should be utilized. Bad calls are killing this game. I agree with Bisciotti that the refs need help.
  19. Now Pacman Jones claims that Antonio Brown was faking the head slam injury. Sure. Limbs flopping like a rag doll and you could see Brown's eyes rolled up in his head the instant he was hit. Pacman should just zip his mouth rather than confirm his stupidity. I am so grateful that Jones and Burfict are not Ravens.
  20. SSS will be an incredible sportscaster. He is entertaining, intelligent, witty and he makes me laugh out loud. SSS is the "Sound Bite King" and I will certainly enjoy SSS in his next career. Til then, love that SSS is back for another year on the field with us.
  21. Thanks for the info. Good. I feel better knowing Burfict got fined for that hit on Maxx. I am worried about next year if something major isn't done to get control of Burfict...or just give him the boot
  22. Was Burfict fined for the head shot to Maxx Williams? The intent to injure is clear and without regard to the rules of player safety. If Burfict was not fined, he should have been. My question to the NFL, if Burfict was not fined for that Williams dangerous head shot, why didn't you fine that hit as well?
  23. Every team in the league who has played against the Bengals should send in their clips of headhunting or cheap shots by Burfict on their players to the NFL. The blatant aiming for the head of Maxx Williams is only 1 example of so many dangerous "player safety" rule violations. Yet, Burfict continues with more of the same. If every team would send the astounding # of dirty hits to the league at the same time before determining the consequence to Burfict, maybe it will get the NFL's attention as to how often they have let him get away with this, in addition to those Burfict was fined for. This is the dirtiest player in the league and the pattern of dirty play is overwhelming and habitual. It's time for the NFL to step up and take the most serious action possible, maybe unprecedented consequences, including a mega game suspension or ban.
  24. In Burfict's cheap shot to Maxx Williams, he made an absolutely deliberate attempt to hit high, to target Maxx in the head. The NFL needs to bring the hammer down hard on Burfict, including a lengthy suspension. Burfict is likely to paralyze or kill another player and the targeting will NOT stop unless the NFL uses it's power to intervene with the maximum consequence. We play the Bengals twice a year and if something isn't done, it's a matter of time until Burfict ends a player's career. I do not want us to go in to the 2016 season with Burfict only given another meaningless NFL fine or 1 game suspension. Nothing has gotten through to this headhunter so far and anyone on offense could be the next target. Maxx wasn't even the QB's targeted receiver but he was certainly targeted by this dangerous and out of control thug.
  25. Excellent article on Burfict. I am going to be mad at the NFL if they only fine him and not also give him a big suspension. We have to play them twice a year and the headhunting and intent to injure will not stop unless the NFL takes the maximum steps. One of these days, Burfict could paralyze or kill another player and so far, nothing has altered his conduct on the field. As the article suggests, banning Burfict from the game may be the ultimate solution in dealing with this thug, but I fear that the NFL won't take enough action now before Burfict ends someone's career....or life. Take it seriously now, NFL
