  1. Gee whiz. So right you are but was referring to the long day and season for ME because I will be watching every game this season. Made no reference to standings or playoffs but I get your point. lol
  2. Running game is non existent so far. Gonna be a long day, long season if we don't get the run game established.
  3. Mostert has some serious speed. 50 yards return. thought he may break open
  4. 4th and long and we throw well before the first down marker. We do that way too often
  5. Aiken needs to get his focus and composure. We need Aiken to be on top of his game today
  6. So the Ravens have been self scouting over the bye week, asking themselves what they can do differently to create more turnovers. "But opportunism isn't an easy thing to coach", implying that it's just the players fault. Not giving a 10 yard cushion to every receiver and changing the coverage certainly IS coachable. If I see our secondary continue to play 5-10 yards off the receiver, we will solidify our bottom feeder status in turnover ratio, not to mention that I may officially go insane from the torture of witnessing the same old, same old coverage. I hope that the self scouting during the bye also focused on the coaches play calling and schemes which need to change in order to put our secondary in better positions to even have a shot at being successfully "opportunistic". There's no way these turnover failures are 100% on the shoulders of the players alone.
  7. Joe did a great job handling those wayward snaps last week.
  8. The important upside of this "make history" mentality is that the team carry a winning mindset and confidence over to next year. Regardless of the outcome, the team will only benefit from a collective belief that they are good enough to compete with any team. We should see the benefit of maintaining and strengthening this core winning belief with a playoff berth next year (if not this year also). Either way, I am glad that I can expect this team to fight and scrape in every game, win or lose, this season.
  9. Going to be quite an accomplishment if we could pull off a Wild Card spot. Looking like a pretty tall climb to jump over 8 other teams to make it to the playoffs. Why not go for it though? If the Ravens could actually pull it off, Baltimore would go nuts. No harm in setting the bar high.
  10. Yipes Ray. Rapping is not your strong suit. Bet it was fun to work with Pharrell though.
  11. There's no better person than Justin Forsett to try to take Terrance West under his wing as a mentor. West needs to buckle down and take this 3rd opportunity far more seriously, to make sure he reaches his potential to have a viable career in the NFL. Don't blow this great chance Terrance, innate ability is not enough to become a pro player. If you always wanted to be a Raven, Terrance, it's time to bust your buns and grow up fast so you can stay a Raven. Make sure this opportunity doesn't pass you by.
  12. I love the statement, "The Ravens had only 2 players missing because of injury". That's certainly good news. However, the amount of key players banged up so bad that they are on IR is the not so good news. Guess we need to look at the glass half full side of this crazy season.
  13. In the news today, Hardy has the audacity to tweet out that he is innocent til proven guilty, despite everyone on the planet knowing he is guilty of domestic violence. To add insult to injury, Hardy also played the race card to explain why he is being singled out. What a dirtbag.
  14. Although in the back of his mind Pitta was probably semi prepared to accept a bad prognosis from the doctors, he has to feel so disappointed. I admire how long and hard Dennis rehabbed and worked to get back on the field. Hope the prognosis is better for next season. A sad reality for Dennis this year, he gave everything he had and did everything he could to make it back.
  15. I can't explain it either because it makes no sense. Bottom line, Ray Rice is the 1 who has shown that he is a decent, caring human being. Rice is the player out there raising awareness for DV and other issues and helping his community despite being ostracized. I feel really bad for Ray and he has done all he can to make amends to the league, the fans, the community and his family. The person who actively redeems himself and shows character is the 1 not playing or even allowed to help the NFL make positive changes. SMH
  16. Nice clip on Ray Rice. The NFL will squander a great opportunity and resource if they do not find a way to involve Ray Rice in their Domestic Violence prevention efforts as he has offered to do. There is no better person than Ray to show others what DV can cost them their and the impact on their victims. Ray Rice cannot be doing any more to do his part to bring awareness to the issue despite the cold shoulder from the NFL. Ray is the first to acknowledge how wrong and inexcusable his actions were. I doubt if there is any player who could get through to other NFL players on this issue more than Ray Rice. The NFL should see Ray for the potential positive impact he could have to use their powerful national exposure and platform to maximize efforts against DV among players and the general public. If the NFL is sincere about DV, beyond occasional ads to reflect the image that "the NFL cares about DV", while allowing other DV players to continue to play, they should at least take Ray Rice up on his offer to make an impact through the NFL among players. Nobody in the entire NFL could effect possible change and awareness more than Ray for what is at stake both professionally and personally. If national organizations dedicated to the prevention of DV support Ray's efforts and sincerity, why won't the NFL embrace this unique opportunity with Ray to try something meaningful that could actually have a real impact ? If the NFL is sincere about dealing with this problem, they should support this obvious effort towards a real solution and create some good out of this bad situation.
  17. I hope SSS heals quickly and fully, then decides to come back for 1 last year to wrap up his stellar HOF career on his own terms. Good luck in your recovery SSS.
  18. Dennis has worked really hard to try to get back on the field to play this game he loves so I fully support his decision, whether he plays or hangs up the cleats. If Dennis does play, especially with our #1 offensive weapon now gone, SSS, I think it will help Joe to know that a familiar and capable vet is on the field as an option. I also agree that with the 3 good TEs we have, it may be wise to consider lining up Dennis as a WR at times, at least to start until they are confident that his hip holds up. Hoping that the hip has fully healed but if Dennis decides to call it quits, I want to extend my thanks for all the great plays and memories he gave us as a Raven.
  19. undid the boo-boo neg for ya
  20. Getting voted in to the Pro Bowl is obviously important to the Special Teams Coordinator Jerry Rosburg, as well as to Sam Koch. I have voted for Sam and other Ravens and you can go to the top of the Ravens home page for the Pro Bowl ballot link. Sam has been overlooked long enough and fan votes are key. It's up to us fans in Baltimore to get voting for Sam and other Ravens to get the recognition and honor that they deserve for the great experience of going to the Pro Bowl. It would be a shame for Sam to be slighted again, he is the best of the best of the punters, hands down.
  21. Looking forward for seasons to come, the only way to return to our winning ways is to demand maximum effort and to preserve a "play to win" mindset.
  22. Anyone know the date SSS is scheduled for surgery?
  23. Jacoby a Steeler? No stinking way I am happy Jacoby joining our #1 foe.
  24. Something goofy is going on with my sign in. using proper password, get logged on, then it logs out automatically when I go to home page etc. Done it 3 times now and it logs out every time by itself after a few minutes. Can someone please fix this technical problem? Thanks. Salamander
  25. Nice move by SSS and his wife to take the time and effort to bring boxes of food for the food drive when SSS is dealing with a major injury and leaving town for surgery. Well done SSS. Good luck with the surgery.
