  1. Me too. I thought someone was starting an unsubstantiated stupid rumor to mock the Ravens. Joke's on us to find out it is actually true. I am humiliated for our players....or maybe I am just secretly jealous because I didn't get a sticker too.
  2. Or maybe Joe sneaks over to other guys lockers and swipes everyone else's stickers when they aren't looking.
  3. I've only been to a handful of games but was fortunate enough to be at the game for Ed's 107 yard interception. The fans went nuts. The other highlight of that game was 1 of the Eagles players got tackled by his jock strap. I swear that jock strap stretched for yards while our defender was hanging on for dear life. M&T replayed Ed's amazing td interception but they also replayed the jock strap tackle over and over on the big screen and the fans went nuts over that too. So I witnessed the best play I ever saw live and the funniest play I ever saw live. A great day to have tickets for sure. Oh, and to top off a great day, a bunch of Eagles fans near me got ejected to roaring applause.
  4. I really enjoy reading stories about our players. When it's a slow news week, I'd much rather read something interesting about a player's life and football journey than a rehashing of the same news. Aiken has had his share of hardship growing up and I'm glad he made it in the NFL. Aiken has taken some really brutal hits, yet he keeps playing. I admire his toughness.
  5. Andre Boyd's impersonations of Ray Lewis are spot on, even his timing and mannerisms. Glad that Ray is entertained by Andre too. I think the intense, heartfelt motivational speeches on absurd topics like punch 'em in the mouth for Halloween candy are the funniest. Hope to see more videos, Andre is a hoot.
  6. Nice to finally hear directly from Perriman. When I met this nice, soft spoken young man last week at Camp's charity event (before he was put on IR), I could tell that Perriman was extremely disappointed that he hasn't been able to play this year. It upsets me that over the months so much venom has been vented unfairly upon Perriman, as though he was a wimp for not playing, bust of a draft, the venom goes on. It is really sad that on top of dealing with an injury, Perriman was mentally in a black hole and the brutal comments did not go unnoticed by him. Yes, Perriman was told to tune all the negativity out but the attacks on him from his supposed fan base certainly didn't help. I am glad he finally spoke publically and I hope that Ravens fans will show him the support he deserves. Next year, if he doesn't singlehandedly come out of the gates with complete mastery and dominance, I hope that the fans will support him and let his development unfold as it will. Cut Perriman some slack and give him a chance by supporting him, enough of the personal attacks for something he could not control.
  7. Impressive job by Jerry Rosburg with Special Teams. Ranked top 1-5 in the league in every category in Special Teams. Amazing job by Jerry to bring that level of excellence and consistency.
  8. That may be so but that 5th round rookie happens to be good enough to be considered in the top 12 TE's per Pro Football Focus. Boyle has exceeded all expectations, has made contributions and is worthy of a mention regarding an injury, at least in my book. Our TE group is dynamite. Hope Nick's injury isn't serious.
  9. I was concerned 1 of our TEs was injured since we signed a TE this week. I wonder if Boyle got hurt when he hurdled over defenders? Too dangerous to be worth the physical risk. No matter how or when the injury happened, I just hope Nick does not have a serious injury and can be back soon. He has done an admirable job on the field, especially for a rookie. Good luck Nick.
  10. I certainly hope Givens has a huge motivational chip on his shoulder and has a great game against his old team. I like what I've seen so far and I hope Givens will turn out to be a very solid long term player for the Ravens.
  11. Zuttah on IR now also, just SMH. Looks like the team focus has rightfully shifted towards next year. I think Urschell will get these snaps down after enough reps. Could be quite an adventure for Joe til then though. Despite all the bad things happening this year, 1 right after another, I am still strangely optimistic for next year. If the Ravens make the right decisions with the right combo of smarts and some lucky breaks falling our way, I don't view next season just as being in "rebuilding" mode. I expect us to "rebound" next year and be right up there in contention.
  12. The NFL failing to take adequate corrective measures regarding turning over the outcome is bad enough. However, it's a double slap in the face that the refs were not given significant and severe consequences for failing to throw the flag for not being set on the last play of the game, which wrongly altered the outcome of that game. In the situation with the clock running out, every single ref would actually be on the alert to know that this very basic procedural error of not getting set could definitely be a factor. The refs know the rules within 2 minutes and to be set for 1 second and the ending of this game was a heads up for the refs to make sure that being set should have been on their radar. The NFL knowingly allowed a team to be denied a rightful victory due to the exclusive failure of the refs to comply with basic procedure, then minimized the consequences to the refs, which is infuriating. We all know the Ravens blew opportunity after opportunity but that is a whole separate issue. The bad officiating problem in the NFL is reaching epic proportions and the lack of meaningful reaction by the NFL is indicative that they have not taken this ref problem seriously enough, which is destroying the game itself. In other words, we can expect the ref problems to get a whole lot worse before there is any hope of things getting better. It may be a long wait until the NFL wakes up and makes some real changes. Bottom line, Ravens got screwed and the NFL agenda is more about minimizing controversy and covering their backsides with the refs than it is about getting it right and demanding high standards for the refs to protect the integrity of the game.
  13. I absolutely LOVE Andre's perfect Ray Lewis imitations. Asking for Rousey's phone # at the end is hilarious and so is the whole Rousey Rebound Rant. Hey, if Ray is too busy to do another locker room pre-game pep talk, Andre may be available.
  14. I met Perriman at Camp's charity event last week. I know how disappointed fans are that our #1 pick hasn't played this year but our frustration can't hold a candle to how badly Perriman must feel. It makes me sad to know this very nice, soft spoken young man is getting such a hate and resentment filled barrage of negativity from some fans. Nobody wanted Perriman to play more this year than Perriman himself, I can guarantee you that. I just hope Perriman lights it up next year and I am sure he will give this team everything he's got to help the Ravens elevate this team back in to contention. I hope I am just 1 of a silent majority who support this kid despite my own intense frustration with this situation.
  15. Happy Birthday Crockett. May you have many more in a Ravens uniform.
  16. The NFL uses it's criteria/excuse for failing to discipline or fine the refs for an acknowledged bad call against the Ravens earlier in the season. The excuse was because the bad call did not influence the outcome of the game. Of course a bad call at any critical juncture of the game can influence the outcome but the NFL copped out and did nothing. Fast forward to the Jags game and apply the same NFL criteria whether the bad call/no call influenced the outcome of the game. This colossal blunder by the refs went beyond INFLUENCING the outcome. This one basic and huge mistake is what singularly DETERMINED the outcome. Big difference. If there was ever a game which qualified to be overturned, this is the game the NFL can clearly see directly denied a rightful win to a team. Sure, we all know that the NFL doesn't want to set a precedent and get the outcome right by overturning the decision. The NFL itself diminishes the integrity of the game to knowingly allow the wrong outcome to stand when the refs are 100% responsible for the wrong outcome of that game. How well or poorly either team played prior to that is immaterial. The game hinged on the last play. Period. Tired of these bad refs and the league's failure to deal with this league wide poor officiating problem, much less fail to at least get this outcome correct. It is not ok for the NFL to knowingly deny a victory to a team in this unique "last play" ref farce of blatant incompetence which DETERMINED the outcome..
  17. I agree, the "Can of worms" is exactly why the commissioner won't overturn the outcome. So many bad ref calls have altered the outcomes of games. However, I still maintain that there hasn't been 1 game more clear that should be overturned that the refs missed the call, 1 single, identifiable, indisputable ref error that did totally wrongly determine the outcome of the game. The last play. So many Raven player screw ups throughout the game still can't diminish the fact that the refs failed to throw the obvious flag at the most critical, game changing point of the game. Even the NFL Network is running the story that the Ravens should have won the game. Maybe I should send Goddell a can opener for that can of worms because horrendous ref mistakes are destroying this game and something needs to drastically improve with officiating.
  18. Because the ref error occurred on what should have been the last play of the game , if ever there was a game in league history to be overturned by the commissioner due to a ref bad call, this is it. The player never got set as time expired. The 10 second run off kills any argument. No, the commissioner won't alter the outcome even if wanting to be 1000% fair is the objective to get it right. Nothing could have transpired after the player failed to be set. Game over. Of course, the Ravens played poorly enough to give this game away themselves but I am sick of bad officiating determining outcomes.
  19. Focus on developing the TEs even more than this last game through the rest of the season. Work out some kinks, let them gain valuable game experience, develop some killer plays in TE sets. With what's left of this "going nowhere" season, to see the TEs make great strides will pay off big next year. I think we have barely scratched the surface of what these young TEs can bring to the offense.
  20. The Ravens doing so poorly has put a damper on my enthusiasm this year, although I am still going to root for them to win every week. I am tired of and unaccustomed to such sloppy play from the Ravens, it's depressing actually to see this team implode. My annoyance with bad refs is growing with every season and bad calls throughout the league truly detract from the enjoyment of any team I am watching. I love this game and the Ravens playing some decent ball by the end of the year will help me be enthused again. If the Ravens continue to suck this bad through game 16, then it's gonna be a long winter waiting for the Ravens to give me a sense of optimism and enthusiasm again.
  21. These almost weekly "What the Victors Over the Ravens Say" articles are so depressing. It is not in my DNA to ever share in the joy of a victorious opponent.
  22. With all of the focus on Doom's facemask penalty which cost us so dearly, I am far more upset with players on defense who put forth token or no effort on the last play. At least Doom was playing through with heart to the last whistle. Sure, Doom made a bad mistake but other players standing around or walking off the field before ANY play is over to the whistle is a total lack of discipline, inexcusable, and downright embarrassing to witness.
  23. It's painful enough to endure the heartbreaking losses. The last thing I want to see is the media and rest of the league mocking and laughing at us. I just hope the Ravens can play respectable football for the rest of the season. Although my expectations have been a lot lower this year, I was astounded at the amount of blunders yesterday.
  24. It's not Doom's fault we lost this game. Doom's penalty was only the LAST mistake in a game with TOO MANY mistakes to realistically expect to come away with a victory. That was a collective TEAM loss.
  25. This heartbreaking loss to a bad team has put a nail in the coffin for any team talk of a "make history" comeback. It's a sad reality that not 1 player went to the podium to speak with the press. I have never known that to happen before. Feel sorry for our players trying to rebound mentally for the next game. This season has been dismal but today's game does take the cake as far as being painfully demoralizing.
