  1. This season has gotten downright bizarre at this point. However, I am intrigued at seeing how these remaining games play out, win or lose. So much for my pre-conceived notions in the spring of being playoff bound. Hope that next season the Ravens can bounce back and will play the remaining games this season with effort and heart.
  2. Adding my congrats to Justin and Amanda. Kids are 1 of life's great experiences.
  3. Happy Thanksgiving to all of Ravens Nation. Outside of football, may each of us feel gratitude for what is good in our lives and for those people in life we love. Special prayers and thoughts with the Ravens security guard Ellison James and his son.
  4. I have noticed that Schaub is sometimes as, if not more, animated and fired up than some of the guys who are actually playing in responding to something going on in the game. This 1 time starter reduced to riding the bench was able to rise above his disappointment and be enough of a pro to be genuinely excited and involved in the games. That has impressed me every time I have seen Schaub on sideline shots. The man deserves our support and no, Schaub is not Joe, nor should we fans expect him to be. All I can say from what I have observed is that Schaub has become committed and loyal to his team/our team, the Ravens and that he will give every bit of effort and passion he has to help us get through this season. Schaub could use every bit of fan support we can give him in these circumstances nobody expected.
  5. One thing I have noticed all season is that when there are shots of the sidelines, Schaub is always excited and engaged with the game. I appreciate and respect Schaub's professionalism, being mentally and emotionally involved. He has been paying attention to every offensive play, rather than detaching and doing nothing on the bench. So now he will be physically involved and I hope that all the time invested mentally and emotionally will pay off in performance. Good, bad or indifferent, I am supporting Schaub and wish him well at the helm.
  6. Could someone please post the Andre Boyd, (Ray Lewis impersonator)Thanksgiving video? It is too funny to miss but I don't know how to do it. I saw it on the ESPN website. Happy Thanksgiving Ravens Nation.
  7. Jeff Fisher acting like he is shocked and offended that his team has a reputation for playing dirty? Even NFL Network commentators all concur that the Rams play dirty. Fisher lost all respect in my eyes for also leaving his concussed QB on the field. No way he or his coaches didn't notice. Fisher is the 1 who needs a mirror.
  8. Coaches are not supposed to criticize the refs or they will be subject to significant penalties from the NFL. I am really glad that Harbs has become more and more openly critical of the refs regardless of the threat of fines because the refs more than deserve it. Other coaches in the league have also made comments recently and I hope Harbs and his colleagues from different teams continue to defy the NFL with publically criticizing the refs. This is not a new problem so I am glad the coaches are getting fed up enough to address it to the media. NFL has not put a dent in this problem and if it takes embarrassing and criticizing the league publically, so be it. The NFL needs to get off its backside and fix this sub-standard officiating.
  9. Keenum was so woozy that he couldn't get up, yet every trainer and coach on the Rams let it go or didn't see it? C'mon man. Even worse, the spotter was the 1 independent medical person specifically designated to pull any player for concussion protocol if they show any signs of concussion and he fails to intervene? Keenum grabbing his head and rolling on the turf, unable to get to get to his feet right away is obvious to everyone except the people responsible to protect the player? Even if Keenum told the trainer "I'm fine", like many injured athletes do in the heat of battle, he obviously was not fine and there's really no acceptable explanation or excuse for anyone responsible who should have taken the obvious step of getting him off the field to be evaluated.
  10. I am impressed with other players like Carson who were able to come back healthy and play better and stronger than ever. Joe is a young, tough guy so I am hoping he heals quickly and will be ready for spring training. Good luck with your surgery and rehab Joe.
  11. These Rams comments sound really familiar to the Ravens comments after a loss...."didn't execute, penalties, gave up the lead" etc. Nice to be on the other side of the W-L conversation for a change. It was an ugly win but still a win. Losing Joe and Justin overshadow the joy of winning for me though.
  12. Proud of Buck in the way he stepped right in and did his job well, taking advantage of the "Next man up" opportunity. However, Buck also earned my respect for way he showed so much concern and respect for his teammate and mentor, Justin Forsett.
  13. when I went on the national website a lot of Steeler fans were reacting to us losing Joe and Justin. Steelers fans made sure they were clear that they did not like or downright hated the Ravens. Many of those same Steelers fans were quick to show support for our injured players and show respect for Joe's toughness. Over recent years, it seems that this heated rivalry has begun to show some mutual respect between 2 tough rival teams, extending to the fans. I appreciate those Steeler fans who showed some class, respect and sportsmanship for our injured players and team rather than turn the loss of 2 of our best players in to an opportunity for a troll fest of ill-will.
  14. Flacco out for the season. Knee injury per Harbs. Terrible news to hear. Thoughts and prayers for Joe and Justin
  15. Brett Harris just said Flacco may have an ACL tear/ knee injury and could be out for the season
  16. Heartbroken for Forsett. What a great player and great mentor to the younger guys. One of the nicest guys in the NFL.
  17. Concussion protocol should have been implemented. fumble may have been due to a woozey QB with a concussion
  18. Wow wow wow. Tucker misses again. I know M&T is tough but I am not used to this from Tucker
  19. Don't tell me we are going to lose by 3. Need a turnover
  20. Breaks my heart to lose Forsett, as a player and a great human being who is a good influence on all these young guys
  21. Gillmore. The future of the Ravens is Gillmore and our TEs
  22. Defense is the reason we are still in this game. If turnovers come in bunches, we need another. Offense needs all the help it can get today
  23. Juice just got slammed. His eyes looked cross eyed getting up. Tough dude
  24. Could we please get in to the endzone today?
