  1. Man, we have got to let joe go, resign him for 1/2, or less , than what he makes, we need to keep what good players we have, sad state of affairs signing him to that sb contract, should have waited a few years, would have gotten him real cheap, maybe another cousins, ha ha ha
  2. Actually I love joe, I just think he needs to pull a homey and take a pay cut so we can retain our team, so close to sb.
  3. Guys, it's a simple game , would you rather have one so so player or 10 good ones, do the math, we've won before without a qb but had a lot of other good players.
  4. Easy fix, get rid of flacco, save all that cap money and buy a bunch of players, don't need a half a-- qb, remember 2000, aka dilfer?
  5. I think we have about 29 too many coaches, we just need 3, 4 max, head, oc, do, and st. The guys have been playing their entire lives, that's what college is for too, development, if they don't know to play by the time they are drafted, then they shouldn't be drafted.
  6. I'm telling ya, get rid of flacco, save the money and get some real players, mallet or any other half bud qb will do just find, we run nothing but hs ball anyway.
  7. Inability to get a yard when you really need it is a hallmark of the West Coast Offense and the Zone Blocking Scheme. The former doesn't typically commit to the run, and will more likely rely on a quick pass - it has been a hallmark of the Andy Reid offenses, which Harbs is most familiar with. I'm generally a fan of zone blocking in the right scheme, but it is a very reactive, east-west approach: O-lineman steps in a direction, and doesn't really know who he is going to block until the defense slants, bulls, or stunts. Our offense is a hybrid of West Coast and Zone Blocking. That yard will continue to be hard to come by. That's why we need a bigger center. When in doubt, QB sneak and pray. I think the problem is that we don't have the players to actually run a West Coast offense. The West Coast relies on accurate, timed passes, quick hitters that can supplement the run game. You also need a bit of a mobile, meaning more agile, QB that can move around in the pocket a bit to extend a play. This is why guys like Alex Smith can actually put up decent numbers and win you games even though he's not known for having a cannon arm. Joe Flacco doesn't have great timing, doesn't have great touch, and isn't exactly agile. Secondly, it relies heavily on Tight Ends. Since it does your TE's need to be playmakers. While Pitta is excellent in actually getting open in zone coverage and has very good hands, he's not a playmaker. I think he'd be a good #2 move TE option at this point in his career. Hopefully Maxx Williams is the guy we think he is. Because the short pass replaces your run, your TE's can get away with not being the best run blockers in the world. Third, your receivers don't have to be fast. They don't have to be huge. They need to have good hands and do something NONE of the Ravens WR can do, and that is get separation. We run HORRIBLE routes. How can you run a spread formation with no backs and get nobody open? Yes, this actually happened several times last season. Lastly, you need an O-line that can pass protect. Most of our line is not good at that. They are plow ahead maulers and not guys that back pedal well. Ditch the zone run/west coast garbage. We do not have the right talent to run it. Go power run, twin TE, playaction. This is the single most important thing the Ravens can do to win next season and it won't cost them a single penny to do it. Football is a simple game, you block, you tackle, don't make it complicated, it's not.
  8. Just what we need, another darn coach, how many is that now, one per player?
  9. You can have the best players in the world but if you're still calling hs plays you ain't going to win.
  10. Just let joe call his own plays and be done with it, he did it in college, he's making $20M for crying out loud, more that all of his coaches altogether, none of them are worth their salt either, how many calls did Weeb make for John?
  11. Talk about letting players go, I just think looked at the list of coaches we have, 29 of them, about 25 too many. really harbs ?, no wonder you can't get anything done, and you want to hire more? Really?
  12. Stop making excuses guys and face reality, we lost 3-4 games because of bad management decisions, period. This team should have been 12-4!
  13. Like I said before, if you play not to lose, you usually do, and, we almost did, again, the squealers will not be a problem, harbaugh , et al, will not be able to get the boys up for the bungles, then, all will be lost.
  14. Last chance at awesomeness, let Tucker sing the national anthem Sunday, the Ravens will be ready, and next week against the squealers, but, as usual, harbaugh won't be able to get the team up against Cincinnati and we'll lose it all, thanks John, that will make 4 games you blew for us this year, keep up the good work, maybe If they gave you more money I'm sure you could do better.
  15. And how did that work out for y Let's finish the year on a high note, let Tucker sing the national anthem, might even get some press time.
