  1. I think the bigger reason for the Top 5 rankings is more down to having a Frank Gore or a Shady McCoy.
  2. You do mean blocking tight end right?
  3. Not too sure that the atmospheres are that different tbh. I've been to Wembley 3 times for footie and my team has whipped up an awesome atmosphere (Crystal Palace - Playoff Final and the Semi and Final of the FA cup last season. I've sat in all 3 tiers at Wembley and only the upper tier feels too far away and is lacking in atmosphere; the lower bowl is fantastic though. Obviously England games are going to have a terrible atmosphere as we haven't exactly been given anything to write home about and also the teams we've faced in qualifying have been terrible. I've been to Twickenham too to watch England rugby Internationals and there are LONG periods of near silence. Lastly I've gone to two NFL games at Wembley and the atmosphere has been terrible not because of the Stadium but just because of the fans; there are fans from every team there so usually never get a great atmosphere as most of the crowd doesn't care if the Jags etc score (I didn't); I hate to say it but the Squeelers had a massive following inside Wembley for their game and the atmosphere was good. If it is the Ravens that are coming to London then I can't wait, we seem to have a sneaky big following over here and Wembley will definitely be purple that day. However everything just points to the NFL going with the Seahawks - they fulfil the same criteria that the Ravens do i.e. never played in London PLUS, and this is the tipping point, they're scrapping the 1pm UK time slot so Pacific coast teams fans have a friendlier viewing time back in the States.
  4. I've stayed away from bashing Trestman or anyone as I believe that while anyone is part of the Ravens then they deserve our support but damn am I happy that he's gone. Let the turnaround begin and we can actually go back to enjoying Ravens Football
  5. We've gotta work this draft and move up for Ramsey now.
  6. Their front office would have to be psychic to plan for a team they can only meet if they get to the playoffs
  7. Pretty sure at least a few people say the same thing every year.
  8. New Year...Same ol' Cheatriots.
  9. Woke up to this bad news. Blown coverages leading to big yardage and TDs in nearly every game this season; very much looking like we'll draft a DB highly and we don't even give Reed a call to come and school these guys. Missed opportunity that the Bills will benefit from. At least we'll get to see how this pans out up close when the Ravens play the Bills next season.
  10. Hi guys, I just want to know if there are any shops in the DC area that sell Ravens jerseys. My mum is on holiday in your nation's Capital (we're from the UK) and I asked her to bring me back a new jersey as there is nothing over here Ravens related apart from a few caps. I do have a jersey but it's a 27 and I don't wear it (for obvious reasons). If anyone can let me know of any place then I can pass on the message to her and continue representing Ravens Nation this side of the pond. Thank you
  11. Thank you so much. We've both been to the US but I've only ever been to NYC, she's been all over the place but it is her first time in DC. I will definitely pass on the message about the suburban shopping malls and she's there in time for Black Friday so I'm sure she'll have an "American experience" unlike anything she's ever seen haha. I appreciate it, thanks again.
  12. Just put it this way, if we had a rookie RB that did what he did last year we'd be singing his praises to high heaven. It was a solid year from West.
  13. All things being equal...Matt Elam/Lee Evans. One can't tackle, one couldn't catch.
  14. The biggest knock on Elam were his missed tackles, you cannot diagnose whether he's better at that from OTA's so it remains to be seen whether he has actually improved. The fact Elam played a few positions unfamiliar to him shouldn't be used to excuse his poor tackling; it also shouldn't cloud the fact that he played worse when moved to his natural position. Hope he steps up in the regular season, I think he will as he has the confidence of the coaches it seems.
  15. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000493729/article/darrelle-revis-patriots-have-a-history-of-doing-stuff Darrelle Revis saying what anyone linked to the Pats, formerly or otherwise, doesn't want to hear. The Pats deep seeded culture of cheating and wronging 'n' stronging is sickening.
  16. I agree with all of this but I honestly can't see how the punishment can be knocked down through an appeal. Surely for that to happen evidence clearing Brady of any wrongdoing would have to come to light; seeing as that's not going to happen, the NFL will have to leave the punishment as it is. I'm hoping TMZ or some other source somehow gets some hard evidence just like they did with Ray Rice and finally bring the cheatriots to it's knees.
  17. Ed is eligible in 2019 as he didn't play last season. Troy in 2020. Reed will get in before, no question!
  18. Hey!! I'm from London myself, let's get this UK Ravens Group going, sound like a great idea to me
  19. Hey guys, new poster but LONG time lurker here. I'm from London, England. Got into American Football and specifically our Ravens in 1999, Ray Lewis was the first name in the NFL I had ever heard (admittedly it was because he was on the news over here and labelled as potentially the next OJ Simpson because of the trial at the time). Ed Reed will always be my favourite player though. My football team (soccer to you guys) over here is Crystal Palace and we had an affiliate team located in Baltimore called Crystal Palace Baltimore. Unfortunately that team folded but I feel there will always be a link there to this little part of South London and Baltimore, two blue-collar towns whose teams mean everything to their fans and we're ALWAYS the underdogs that other teams don't like to play against. Would love to come see a game at M&T one day, or maybe we'll be the road team for a Wembley game.
