Would've been interesting if Ed Reed was still on their coaching staff. I call dibs on Reed, by the way. He's hired. Nobody else can have him.

    Coach Ed Reed

    .5 Stars

    Seattle Seahawks

I guess this ends my involvement in this game this year but that was the plan I had and it's why I was willing to sell the farm for Myles Garrett. I simply have too much going on in my life right now and I didn't want to quit so I just figured it was better to trade all my picks for one guy rather than stalling this game. If this is our last game it was fun and I blame JO for taking the Ravens. Garrett should give JAX, HOU, TEN nightmares all year with my improved defense that should be more opportunistic and put Luck in better position to win

This will not be our last game. We will be able to continue on a different board.

  3. In regards to Sidney Jones, I'm not sure how far he will drop.  This will really depend on his prognosis and expected treatment time.  Normally an Achilles takes six months and some of these younger athletic freaks heal quicker as well.  That being said, I still feel he will play in his rookies year, although he will miss all of camp.

I initially was thinking that he would drop to the 2nd round, I'm starting to think that he will not make it out of the first and one of the teams picking late will take a chance on him.  I'm a Sidney Jones fan and wouldn't be against trading back and getting him in the 20s.  That being said, that would not be my first choice.

Id really like the Ravens to draft in no particular order, edge, cb or wr, and am starting to think the Ravens want one of the top wideouts in this draft with the 1st round pick.

Will the Ravens receive compensatory draft picks for losing tackle Rick Wagner and fullback Kyle Juscczyk? Who knows, maybe those picks will turn into to future Ravens studs?

No, we brought in Woodhead and Jefferson, thus offsetting our losses.

With the loss of Wagner (9m), Ducasse, Juice (5m), Guy (5m)

Jefferson signing will cancel the Wagner signing, Woodhead will cancel Juice.  We still could get a comp for Ducasse and Guy.

Hopefully with a year spent recovering and another off season to get himself ready to go he can improve on the weaker spots of his game and we can see what he can really do on the field. I hope he becomes a monster. And of course when you're picking 3rd and 4th round you are hoping to get at least a quality depth player and if you get a starter it is a bonus. The Ravens have been pretty good and finding talent in these rounds in the past.

I agree and Yes they have, as they have a track record amongst the best in the league.

So are the reports correct about him on the negatives? That when matched up against superior strength/talent he doesn't have the ability to work out of it and he gets redirected out of the play? That most of his production comes from his relentless motor and not really from pure talent/moves/skills?

They are correct on both.  He's definitely got room for growth.  When you pick a player in the 3rd round you can't expect to be getting a finished product or else you are going to be disappointed every time.

They said bigger and stronger on the line... he represents an upgrade in that department and also we need a guard before yanda begins to decline

I'd much rather grab, edge, cb, or wr in the first round and  have no  preference.

Hope you guys are right, but I won't be holding my breath. If he takes off and becomes a beast in the NFL you all can be sure to tell me so, but you'll have to do it on another board unfortunately as this one might be gone by the time that happens.

What tape have you all actually watched though? His scouting highlights tape or have you actually watched him for every down of every game he's played? I doubt very sincerely it is the latter. Anyone can look good on highlights. What you really need to do is to see him on a down by down basis. Have you seen all the plays where he gets washed out by better/bigger/stronger talent?

When I say I've watched his tape, I'm not talking about highlights.  I'm talking gametape.  No, I can't say I've watched every game, but I watched enough to form a good opinion of him. I've seen his good plays and his bad plays.

With the skins losing both Djax and Garcon I'm guessing they are strong players in the Pryor market.  Problem is who is working the  deal?   maybe the equipment manager.   lol

Bruce Allen and Eric Schaefer are among the best at designing contracts. In the business.  However, Allen shouldn't be making any personnel decisions.  That being said, if you have connections to a Tampa Bay, you have a job.

PS... looks like the draft is likely to kicking off Sunday at noon (EST of course).  Be prepared!  We might have to kick things up a notch due to the impending shutdown.

Well, whatever isn't completed we will have to complete via the new board.  May have to move depth charts over to that board.  May be a good idea to do screen shots of them.
