In Maxx's first year, he was coming on at the end of his first season, TE is typically a position that takes time to get acclimated to the NFL. Last year he was on IR all season, give the guy a chance.
+ 1 Marlon Humphrey
+ 2 Chris Wormley
+ 2 Tim Williams

Rumors were that they are still using Mcloughans grades
3 minutes ago, trevorsteadman said:But you have to look long term. Carr is older and you are getting a solid cb at best. Humphrey has the ceiling to become Jimmy Smith (Actually his NFL comparison). 4.4 speed and he is the best run defending cornerback in this draft as well as one of the best if not the best zone corner in this draft. He definitely needs to work on his man to man and footwork but he has all the tools to become a #1 cornerback in this league. And you pair him on the outside with Jimmy Smith who is top 5 if not top 3 when healthy, that is a dangerous combination.
He will likely not be an instant starter like a lot of people want, but long term it was a good move. The Ravens now probably have the best secondary in the league and one of the deepest secondaries in the league.
I agree and once Jones went down, Humphrey was my 2nd favorite cb, right after lattimore.
+1 for me with Humphrey
interesting Forum mock I drafted Stanley in 16 for the chargers and this year my top target was Humphrey for Seattle. Ended up with Tre White as Marlon was picked right before I was up.
6 hours ago, trevorsteadman said:Why? You won't find a better corner in FA. OL can be found in FA. I am excited about the pick. This gives the Ravens two tall corners on the outside to keep Young on the inside where he fits best, and then have a solid 4th corner in Carr.
Carr is the starter st this point with Humphrey as the 4th.

Agreed, but to have you stop typing it would be worth the pick.......don't take it personally though......

Please pick peppers please. Totally worth the pick

I don't trust Kiper or McShay and Walterfootball and Charlie are freaking terrible
I'd add Charlie Casserly as someone I respect as a GM and even more so as a scout. That being the guys that are out there that seem to do the best on mock drafts are Mayock, Ben Standig, and Forrest Long to name a few. I'm ok with Charlie Campbell for the most part, but not Walter. Although he's going to be wrong with his Cam Robinson prediction.

I think the Bengals will draft Foster or Barnett since Lewis has a tendency to take players out of the SEC in round 1, Cleveland will take Garrett and Trubisky or Watson. We have a boatload of players we could land at our picks, i.e. Cory Davis, Mike Williams, OJ Howard, Hassan Reddick, Reuben Foster, Cam Robinson, Ryan Ramczcyk, Forrest Lamp, Marlon Humphrey, Takk, Taco, Barnett or Dalvin Cook. These are in no particular order.
58 minutes ago, arnie_uk said:I hate siding with sami but this post is just hot air. Ozzie was by far and away the best gm up until probably the past 5 or 6 years. Other teams have caught up and probably exceeded him.
No team has a historic track record like the ravens.
Many teams have a better current track record than the ravens.
That's simple facts. Out recent drafts have been poor which is why we have been floundering since 3 potential future hall of hamers left.
The young talent hasnt been up to scratch and when it was we didn't have cap space to keep em
I don't think it's that Ozzie has gotten worse. Other teams have just figure it out and we don't have the edge anymore. Now last years draft was a great draft. Stanley Young Dixon Judon. it has the potential to be even better if Correa and Kaufusi pan out and maybe even Henry,
With the 11th pick the New Orleans Saints select Temple LB Hassan Reddick

Even money we trade down

Ozzie tends to favor game tape over combine / pro days. Doubt we take him in the first.
Hassan Reddick

Yep have fournette going to the jags and I've gone back and forth with Barnett or foster going to the bengals
37 minutes ago, BmoreBird22 said:Bears are apparently locked into a secondary player.
The Allen fall after the Bears pass on him could go many ways.
i could see the Jags taking him due to Coughlin liking to build from th inside out. If they pass on him I could see the Bengals taking him instead of a player like Foster or Barnett. If the Bengals pass on him then I definitely could see the skins landing him.
35 minutes ago, BmoreBird22 said:Bears are apparently locked into a secondary player.
Yeah, I did a mock a couple weeks ago, but feel Adams will be their pick now
Just now, BmoreBird22 said:If it were on talent alone, I'd have him going two overall and no later than four, but if teams are really that concerned that he won't hold up, he'll slide.
I currently have him going to the bears in my first mock, but I always edit a day before the draft
