  1. Houston isn't even a possibility for us.  The guy posted 22 sacks this year.  He's cashing in way more than McPhee.

I agree, only used him as an example because someone else brought his name up.  This also isn't the Ravens style and it should stay that way.

  2. I can't see resigning Torry although I like him. He is a #2-3 WR and we need at least a top end #2 who borderlines a #1. Blackmon could be a bargain. Browns could be ready to trade Gordon for a low#1 or #2. Beckham Green could be there at #26. Lyerla is another talented gamble.

I also can't see signing Mcphee for the $6-7million year he will get. Better to go another $5mil n get Houston a dynamic game changer.

Has Houston been playing in a 3-4 defense.  If that is the case, I'd be ok with Houston if we couldn't sign McPhee for around the same money.    If we lose McPhee we would most likely be getting a 3rd round comp in 2016 depending on what we do in FA.

Did you notice the Browns weren't as good when Gordon got back in the lineup.  Yes part of that is they had tape on Hoyer, but a big part of it was Gordon not studying and taking plays off.  He could be a great player, but he's a high risk.  Teams like the Redskins do that, not the Ravens.  Blackmon, if he is cheap, then maybe and only if he is going to be ready to play next year.  Again, he's another risk, but not as big a risk because he would be cheap.

  4. At the moment, he isn't a starter. I hope that can bring the rate down somewhat.

. I tried to edit that comment and thought it went through, I guess not. I wish I remember where I read it, but maxwell is listed as a very good future cb prospect around the league.he may not be string now, but he's got some serious talent and yes he could be a steal and another great find by the wizard.

  5. He's under contract in 2015. Some people perceive that he will be released, however.

correct, I've heard that as well.

Another player this could happen to is Pierre Garcon, due to him having a cap number of over 9 million in 2015.  I've said this before, but Pierre Garcon is a tough WR and a great blocker as well.  He would fit well with Kubiak due to him being a WR when Shanahan was coaching and having a lot of success with him also.  Garcon will most likely be traded.

  6. Vernon Davis. But I don't know what kind of $$$ he's looking for.  Also, hope we get a chance at Bryon Maxwell but rumors are the Eagles are gunning for him

Byron Maxwell would be awesome as he is one of the best CB in the league.  That being said he's gong to want much more money than we can offer.  smh

  7. We should keep our own players and build through the draft.

agree, but some holes should be filled with FA.  That being said I'd like to see Ozzie go after Walter Thurmond.  He is an excellent slot CB that could free up the DB and Safeties to play their position.

  8. Rashaan is an exclusive rights free agent according to spotrack ( http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/free-agents/baltimore-ravens/ ), a typically reliable source. Thus apparently if we offer him a 3 year contract at the vet minimum he either has to take that contract or leave the NFL entirely because we control his rights. Thus I'd say we pretty much have 100% control over him and I couldn't be happier about that

Another great find by the scouting department.

  9. This year he showed no improvement (I thought he got worse) even when he was in his natural position. Should the ravens give up  him and target a ball hawking safety like gerod holliman while moving will hill to SS?

I believe part of him looking worse was due to the entire secondary being worse.  They need to give him atleast one more year before they give up on him.
