Well, I have to go and look but...

I understood that the challenger AKA previous highest bidder before the end of the FA period, or the original player's team, could contest the player and I understood that those two had to explicitly make their intent to challenge the winner in a bid-off; however, I am genuinely confused because I thought the winner at the end of the FA period assumed the rights of the player unless challenged, but I don't see the reason for that individual to state their intent to accept a bid-off from a challenger.  Just slightly confused here.

The only people that have to say they are bidding off would be the team that had final five rights and was outbid in the final five minutes,  Accepting via quote in the thread is unnecessary.

Well we have options at RB, WR, CB, OLB, TE and Safety. May the best player be chosen at #16. My hope is that one of these players falls to us and I'll be so happy. Fournette, Cook, M. Williams, Corey Davis, O.J. Howard, Rueben Foster (who knows it may happen now), Jamal Adams, Malik Hooker, Sidney Jones, Lattimore, Barnett, Tim Williams, Taco Charlton and finally John Ross. Any of these guys can be game changers imho. So, I can't help but believe each one of these guys will be gone before we pick for 2 reasons. Some teams will reach and there may be a run at QBs and O-line as well.

Although Judon could see starting time in this league in 2017, Smith imo will always be a depth player. You can never have too many pass rushers and with Suggs getting up there in age and Dumerville possibly being a cap casualty, we need more pass rushers.

This team didn't thinking keeping Osemele was a good idea so why would it give top dollar to Wagner? The front office is in need of upgrading. Ozzie just doesn't have it anymore. Look at our last 4-5 drafts, just poor pick after poor pick.

The front office wasn't going to pay KO LT money, whether they had it or not.  They were tighter against the cap last year then they are this year.  Now next year is when we start to get some cap relief and they will need it to extend Jernigan and Mosely.

Do you foresee Shelton and Hankins playing together in either scheme? I only ask because one notable reason for Hankins' porous season was due to the fact that he played more of traditional 3T role than he did in the past, with Damon Harrison lining up at either 1T or NT. Lining up over the LG seemed to have significantly hindered Hankins, which wasn't overly surprising considering that he's somewhat top-heavy in his play style and acceleration isn't a point of strength. He fared much better last season when mostly in Harrison's role. Even when he was the RDT in 2015, he was often shading the nose with a DE like Kerry Wynn often lining up somewhat wide to his right at RE. Shelton bounced around between the 0-3 slots, though he seemingly spend most of his time at the 1T or 0T spots. If the two do coexist, where do you see each of them playing? I'm a little more curious about their positions in the 4-3.

I definitely think he could be a Ravens target if we are unable to sign BWill

I have 4 stars that I spent in RFA, and I spent 1 tonight.  Everything else has been 0.5.  Made an attempt at CB but had a max and I wasn't going over that.

Yeah, there have been some undervalued players that have gone for a reasonable amount throughout free agency.  Many GMs miss those players in lieu of signing the big name free agent.
