Shanahan and Kubiak are not anything like Air Coryell. Two different types of offenses.Mike martz Joe Gibbs Norv turner are examples of air coryell

Siefert is from the wals coaching tree, but Shanahan changed the reads to look long before short passes. Thus the Kubiak and Shanahan branches of the WCO are a bit different. Most important is the verbiage is the same.

That doesn't mean anything. Norv Turner sucked at HC but was is a very good OC. Trestman has a very good history as being an OC and his 2013 was excellent when Cutler went down.

Your are absolutely right. Bears fans would probably rather have Ditka has OC "not DC" and having the Fridge pound the rock.

Anyway I agree this is going to be a great fit and he isn't as pass happy as one would think. He still ran the ball well and had a bunch of short passes in the game with multiple formations and movement plays. Even better he will provide continuity as I don't see him getting another HC opportunity being that he is 59 yo. Now lets go get Greg Knapp as QB coach.

yes, he runs a zbs with a more pass oriented i.e. Mike McCarthy system. Shanahan is the same system, not saying it's better but it would be the same verbiage for both being it is a wco.

Stay stay away from Roy Helu, although he's ok as a runner and pass catcher and he will get Flacco killed as he can't block.

LOL, I agree it is too soon to say whether he is a bust or not. Next season we will know much more being that it is his 3rd season and the secondary will hopefully be much better.
