Also seeing week 12 MNF Texans at Ravens and
TNF week 8 Dolphins at Ravens
Week 6: Bears at Ravens
Week 11: Ravens at Packers
No idea if these are true. Just rumors I saw.
This is interesting... because at first I didn't like it.
But we move up in a deep draft, an save around a million dollars which could go elsewhere. It's not a not of money in perspective, but it could be a dealbreaker for a FA. At least we hopefully won't have to deal with some done Unnecessary roughness or personal foul penalties Timmy would've done. Ozzie will address this move tomorrow in his press conference. I'm sure he has a plan.

The beauty of having draft picks pan out is that they're on a rookie deal, it's why draft picks are so immensely valuable to smart gms rather than FA signings. Better contract management.
That said, Sherman in this secondary would have me disregarding all of that and I'd be pumped
What's shermans cap hit for this year? 11-13 million? I would trade Jernigan for him but it would hurt our cap big time, right?

Kamar Aiken
Lawrence Guy
Anthony Levine
Chris Lewis-Harris
Jerraud Powers
and Matt Elam who doesn't really count anymore.
I'd like Levine back, maybe Powers. I wish we could keep Aiken but I don't think that's happening.

So about 10-11 million a year I'm guessing? Scary but let's hope for the best!
Did we ever officially release Webb?
Woodhead signed 3 years. Interesting.
Dixon said in a statement that he "mistakenly took a substance without the proper NFL medical exemption." - Jeffy Z.
Just now, BOLDnPurPnBlacK said:Mother of pearl. Kenneth dixon suspended 1st 4 games of season for PEDs.
Liking the Woodhead signing
Jefferson contract is 4yr, $36 million.

Apparently he was uncomfortable there last year. He'll be our LG.

SMH. Ozzie.
Well all we need is a RT and an upgrade at C. I think we'll be okay. Protecting joe is a priority but I think we've done good in FA so far.

Stole a 2nd in a loaded draft. Hue thinks he can fix anyone. If he does they got a young starter for cheap. If not they can dump him (only $16m left in guarantees on his deal which isnt even a dent in their $$) and still ahve the pick and can sign anyone they want.
In this draft, that 2nd could be as valuable as a 1st in most drafts.
And now Houston can sign Romo.... win for both sides.
Isn't the 2nd round pick for 2018?
Just read the browns may release Brock. Whut.
Texans get nothing other than having the contract taken off their hands?
Pats getting Gilmore.
How much does cutting Webb save?
4 minutes ago, JoeyFlex5 said:Cruz is a nobody at this point. I wouldn't hate boldin coming though and I've never been one to overrate him or clamor for his return, not by a long shot, but he'll be very cheap and the hype would be real, still relatively productive
Yea that's why I brought them up. Boldin should be cheap and still productive. He helps our need for a possession guy.
Cruz is a risk, but I would consider him only on a cheap one year prove it deal. He may have some gas still left in the tank.
I don't think there's any other WRs I'd really consider at this point unless I'm overlooking one.
For WR, would it smart to try and get Cruz AND Boldin? Would that be affordable/smart? That gets us a decent slot WR with injury problems that I'm honestly not super worried about, and an aging possession guy, leaving our WRs at Boldin, Cruz, Moore, Perriman, Camp, and Wallace/Smith?
Kenny Stills staying with Dolphins
After looking at some Jefferson videos, I like him. He seems to be really good at making shoe string tackles and stripping the football. He can blitz well and like someone else said, cover tight ends. His coverage skills aren't too bad either.
Aren't we trying to get Webb to take a pay cut? So maybe Weddle/Jefferson as safeties, with Jimmy and (draft pick/FA) at outside corners, Tavon in the slot, and Webb at nickel, plus a draft pick? That's a pretty good secondary if we could make it work.
Is 9 million a year too much for Wagner?

I really don't mind this schedule. It's too early to speculate our record, but I think it could've been worse. Closing against the browns and 2 home games is a great way to close the season. (4 out of the last 6 are at home). The toughest part is week 4-5 (I think we'll do fine in London. It's after that game I'm worried about). We get a week and a half rest to play at the titans and a bye week before going to Green Bay. I think our schedule is set up for a good start, rocky middle, and a strong finish.
