Big deal... Statistics don't mean much when you can't finish 60 minutes and loss games.
We havent made the playoffs since the super bowl win in 2012, Our best player is a kicker. Other teams seem to have no problem finding WR (Seahwaks, steelers patriots etc) and here we are with not even a clear number 1 and it looks like were gonna bring in another aging veteran for another 3 years its pathetic, samo samo So You try and find some positive in this mess.
Did you forget 2014?
Yup, quick L, easy to forget. It was like playing musical chairs and being the first one to get eliminated because you lack real talent and a GM that can notice it.
because you lack healthy corners* fixed that for ya....
I kind of disagree, Ravens have some talent, I think if we had a DC who could manage the game for 60 minutes (not 45) we could have won 11, 12,13 games.
Bob Rogucki was over due.... no surprise there.
Washington took the fall for Castillo- SMH
I hope these cursory moves are not a smoke screen to look like changes were made.
I hope Dean Pees follows. I really think Castillo should be on the blocks.... this wasn't exactly sweeping changes that is going to change the culture in the organization and get us back to winning
Hope this is just the start of a signicant house cleaning. That's not going to happen. From a previous article:
"Harbaugh said he’s excited to move forward with all three coordinators, including Defensive Coordinator Dean Pees and Special Teams Coordinator Jerry Rosburg."
We are all excited as well ...
I'm not excited. I'm very disappointed to learn that it appears Harbaugh will be retained. I'm even more disappointed that he's keeping our OC and DC too. I was so hoping that Mr. Bisciotti would move on from Harbaugh or, at the very least, if he just refused to fire him, put him on notice that the only way he could stay would be to replace Both coordinators and, also, show tangible improvement with the team next year. I was hoping for, at least, that. Harbaugh has succeeded in taking a lot of the fun out of watching the Ravens these past few years. I love my team, so I'm sticking with it through thick or thin. But, my goodness, does Harbaugh ever make it painful to watch.
Me too. Mr. B too loyal.
I have four (4) words concerning the difference between the Ravens and Steelers... "They have better coaches".
With the same coaches and QB, Ravens will be lucky to win 4 games
Fire Dean Peas, Morty ? and Harbaugh for the dumbest ending to the steelers game. Do I have to recite it? Passes down the middle? Not getting the defense to cover the receivers tight! Wow If I was the owner all 2 would be gone by today!
fire all THREE
Shoulda, Coulda, Woulda... season in a nutshell... Coaching!!
I think everyone agrees it was a dumb coach call. But at some point you have to realize your strengths and weaknesses. Joe Flacco is not an elite quarterback but the OC calls dumb plays like he is. Joe leads the league in pass attempts. That is not how we are built. The Ravens are a run the ball 25 to 30 times a game team. Control the clock. Rest you D.
I think Steve should get rid of both Harbs and Marty.
Because we will not beat the Steelers playing like this.
We gave away two games (Jets, Raiders) this year because of bad coaching.
We should have the AFC in hand not struggling to make the playoffs.
I think the Giants too
Ravens owner has a lot of big decisions to make after the season. Can his loyalty to his staff continue?
Weddle can blame himself for Hogan's TD, but Elam has to go, he just let the guy run right by him, then just let him go. I blame Mr Harbaugh for the loss. it's obvious that whatever he's coaching isn't working. And he doesn't seem to have a clue how to react.
Ravens need better QB play by their 'elite" read "lost" QB not Torry Smith. I love Steve Smith, but Ravens biggest mistake was letting Anquan B go.
CJ seems to be playing well against the pass this season, what, 3 really good Ints. But definitely tried to do too much yesterday. Please stay composed and cut out the bonehead plays. That one cost the game.
The 2 constants over the last 8 years - Harbaugh and Flacco. One of them is the real problem, if not - both.
I love Joe. He has shown those glimpses of greatness, but in between that a whole lot of head scratching. John was a breath of fresh air after Billick left. The polished optimistic guy that made you feel good about everything. The problem is I feel like now all he is doing is blowing smoke up my "you know what".
My advice to Marty,
Keep Joe under center. His mechanics are better there. Run the ball to generate a good play action. Use the gun with a back, never empty. And let's see where we can go from there.I agree with your advice. Not that means much, LOL.
I agree... Coaching? 3rd and 14, let's trow the ball 12 yards to a covered receiver!
Sorry, but not sorry to see Trestman go, now what about the DC, and maybe the Head Coach. Tired of hearing excuses. Glad to hear QB is embarrassed. Certainly hasn't looked 'elite" for 2 seasons now. Although the O line could be a big contributer. Anyone miss KO, I feel so bad for Steve Smith who seems to be the only receiver playing.
LOLA looks like a great name for her. She looks happy to be with you Mr. Stanley. thanks for adopting her
Who cares what TS has to say, he's a 49er. Still miss Anquan! And hope our QB can rebound.
When you consider all of the good players (and coaches) the Ravens have lost over the years, it is amazing that they have remained competitive for so long. Too bad money always wins out over loyality.
It has been woefully obvious (at least to fans) some Ravens coaches need to be replaced... especially on defense. Hopefully the new additions will make a difference. I personally think we need a new DC, but the Ravens loyalty and sense of continuity has removed that option. Look around the league and notice the number of ex-Ravens coaches now on other teams. That is a tribute to the Ravens, but has also left us with what we had.
Sorry, but Torry S. should stay in SF now... so much for $$$ over loyality.
It is great to hear SSS's straight talk. No BS, no hype... He is a tough competitor, a great receiver, and seems like a solid person and family man. It is obvious, as he says, he will produce what ever he produces next season if he comes back. And we Ravens fans will enjoy watching him in all of his 'throw back style' Good Luck SSS, can't wait!
Don't get your hopes up for next year, it looks like we are a few years away from a winning season now... especially if we don't bring in some new coaches.
WNC-Raven, can you please tell me how to respond to someone else's comment (like you did below)...
well said Bohica5, I agree with you 100%
I agree with you Fastynart... I read today Mr. Harbaugh said that the QB played a good game. Guess he missed the terrible overthrows to wide open receivers on at least two (maybe 3) occasions, and few other 'head scratching' throws. QB has no 'touch' either. I am also so tired of hearing how well we played after all these losses. strong consideration buy the owner has to be given to new coaches, and some soul searching about our drafting process. It seems Ozzie isn't such a genius after all. Guess we can't believe everything we read and hear...

Have to say, I agree with you!
