  1. Who impressed? Carl Davis -- he's a draft steal just like Jernigan. Camp -- unless he gets hurt, he makes the team cause he makes plays. TEs all looked good, as did LT and Allen. And we need to see more of Waller. He just scares opposing DBs. Who didn't impress? KLM. Didn't even know he was playing. And the second string secondary looked terrible. Who gives up a 3-play 90-yard TD drive with less than 2 minutes to go to a rookie third-string QB?
  2. I just don't get why Upshaw is criticized for fulfilling his role. Upshaw stuffs the run on 1st and 2nd down, so Dumervil can come in on 3rd down and get the sack. What is wrong with that? I don't hear Doom getting criticized for not being a run-stuffer. Upshaw does the dirty work so Doom can get the glory.
  3. Let's look at the positives. First, some other first-round receivers have far worse injuries than Perriman. He'll be back. Second, the Ravens have always been a run-first team and have three quality backs who can pound and catch the ball. Most important, the OL is outstanding. Run the ball, give Joe time, and he'll find the receiver downfield whoever it is.
  4. Doesn't make any sense to designate him to return after 8 weeks if it's a 12 week injury and he hasn't played a down in a real game in his entire career. Next man up.
  5. I ran into JaMarcus Russell last night at IHOP and he's totally available.
  6. Hmmmm. Played QB in college. Wants to be a WR. Very good hands. Excellent runner. Potential kick and punt returner. Who does that sound like? Can you say, "Julian Edelman?"
  7. If Harbaugh knows how to stay off the ground, he should have a talk with Stephen Hawking.
  8. I'd cut Arthur Brown to keep Tyson or KLM. They traded up to draft Brown and he hasn't done a thing. And everyone is foaming at the mouth about Waller, but at this point he's just Tommy Streeter 2.0.
  9. Never thought I'd see the day when the NFL would have TWO players named Sebastian Vollmer.
  10. So glad the Ravens picked Mosely instead of Ebron, who basically did nothing last year for the Lions and they're a passing team.
  11. If he stays healthy, he's going to make the team because he's a natural slot receiver with quickness and good hands, he can replace Jacoby on punt and kickoff returns, and he's a draft pick. Ack! Ack!
  12. My favorite one is the Elam Whiff.
  13. I'm sure Matt Elam will break out with a "monster season" and satisfy everyone's low expectations. :-)
  14. There is a question mark who starts -- Will Hill or Matt Elam? Surely, you jest.
  15. I think Gilmore positioned himself as "the blocking tight end" last year to get more snaps. His hands are much better than he let on. Now he'll start. Can't wait to see him run over a 190 lb. DB!
  16. I believe you do not have to tackle in OTAs.
  17. If Elam beats out Hill for the starting job, I will climb the Bromo Seltzer tower naked.
  18. Sure hope the Ravens aren't dumb enough to let Waller go. So much potential.
  19. Such a meaty story.
  20. Other than keeping J Smith and Webb healthy, the most pressing need was replacing Corey Graham at nickle. Arrington does that. This year's secondary could be as pleasant a surprise as last year's OL.
  21. Besides being the most feared safety in the game, Ed was also the best broken field runner. Had he specialized in punt and kick returns, he would have broken all the records.
  22. Torrey Smith had problems with drops his first year and everyone thought he was a bust. Turned out OK, didn't he? This guy is bigger and faster than Torrey. Reminds me of Julio Jones in college. Made the great catches, dropped the easy ones, mainly ran by people. Then got paired with Matt Ryan in Atlanta and became an All-Pro.
