With the Jefferson signing, we can place him at SS and afford to move Weddle over to the FO.

Might be less of a problem depending on how we use Woodhead, I don't imagine he'll be seeing a ton of snaps (of course I'm just speculating out of my ***).
I feel like Woodhead was signed more to replace Juice than to be a RB, dude can catch and block, we can use him on 3rd down. I think he takes Juice's snaps more than Dixon's.

Excellent third down back.
Didn't see that coming (kinda forgot about him), but you're right and hopefully that means we don't need to draft a RB high like the FO said they wanted.

Watch this:
Man I didn't know a lot about Jefferson before, but that looks like exactly the type of guy anyone would want playing on their defense.
I feel like we had that mentality after the SB win, and that really set us back and we've never properly rebuilt the team since. Even back then we should've been looking at how we were gonna rebuild the WR/DB/OL core to be younger but for 1-2 years we kept thinking we were just a piece or two from winning the SB again.
Even though we lost all three of our big FA's, I feel like all we need to sign in FA is a Guard or Tackle at some point and address ILB or S maybe. I think CB, OLB, (and maybe WR too) are better left to the draft.
This is literally the only moderately trafficked place online I've seen any civil discussions about the Ravens, you can't exactly have those on FB and Twitter when half the people are yelling at us to get Derrick Mason out of retirement.
Well if we can trade with the Titans, and also slip PCP into 4 different GM's coffees so they skip on Myles and probably the rest of the draft too, we could maybe end up coming away with the top pass rusher in this class.
Gotta be an optimist.
As far as out big 3 FA's go (Wagner, Williams, Juice), I think we could actually be okay if we lose all 3.
A replacement for Williams might already be on the team, and with the difference that a guy like Pierce is getting paid and what Williams will get, I'd be okay making the trade off (even thought he's been one of my favorite draft picks in recent years).
If we can't get Wagner at a reasonable price, we can bring someone like Zeitler for possibly less money and then change a couple of guys' roles on the OL.
And as much as I like Juice, his position is pretty easy to replace for us I feel (since we didn't really seem inclined to use him as extensively in the pass game as he could be used).
I think I'm echoing a lot of other people on the boards, and knowing our FO, this is probably the way they're looking at these guys; good, but replaceable.

Jernigan and Mosley are up next year and I want us to take the money we would have used on Williams/Wagner and lock those 2 up before this season.
Yeah that'd be ideal but most top-flight guys wanna test the market (and I can't blame them with the way some dudes get paid in FA)

From the highlights I've seen he knows how to use that length and speed too.
Getting caught with a quarter-pound of weed? Dude could have squeaked his way onto someone's practice squad if he wanted to be making drug dealer money.

Dixon has everything needed to be a feature back in the NFL, and West and Juice compliment him well enough. The problem was the blocking and having an OC that just wasn't calling run plays.
I think the problem is that Ozzie said we wanted to add a RB, and everyone assumed that means we're gonna draft 6 of them.
(Personally I don't wanna take one in the first either with the DB/OLB talent that's available)
What do y'all think an ILB like Zach Brown or Kevin Minter would go for? I don't think they're getting Hightower types of contracts, and we miiiight have cap room to get one of them (assuming we trying to bring back Wagner and Williams too). Seems like the type of move the FO might make to take care of that position before the draft.
We're getting dangerously close to our offense putting up only negative yards in the second half.

Come on now he ain't THAT tall
If there's any bright side to this dumpster fire, Judon's doing real work.
If Joe was as consistent with anything else as he is his interceptions, we might have an offense.
Really close race between West and Tucker for the "Carry The Team" award this year.
Not to derail the current conversations, but does anyone think Harbaugh might actually fire Trestman mid-season? Of course I'm not any sort of historian but I don't remember Harbaugh doing that in recent history, but having said that I can't imagine how he'll defend Trestman now. I think that fake kick was a stupid call, but I'm also starting to think that Harbaugh made such an aggressive (read: bad) call on offense was to try and jump start a unit that's just not working, and that's on the OC.
Our offense really didn't need SSS ankle injury.
I haven't been able to watch the game, has our offense really been that bad?
I don't think the team even wants to win this one.

Yeah and to make it worse this isn't a great year to be drafting OL. Which also might be an issue for us, but I think the Bengals at this point are gonna have to start the season with 8 sandbags stuffed into an extra large uniform at guard.
