This is my first mock draft ever and I think if several miracles occur we could get enough guys this draft to be serious contenders again this season or next.
Also I based my player draft positions on a few sites so they may be a bit wonky. Round 1 (6) - Myles Jack ILB
If Jack makes it to 6, which I think his injury this season might allow, I think he has too much talent for us to pass up on (said me and everyone else who mocked him to us). He could play inside and be a solid cover linebacker, or its been suggested that he may be able to play outside as well which would fill a major need on the team as well. (Having said that, I think his best option seems to be inside). His ability to cover could actually help our secondary without us having to just draft a DB, and his intellect could only improve the defense. Not only would be very characteristically Ozzie to ignore the position and go with the best possible player, but NFL.com compared the man to Navarro Bowman, and I think he could match him in play style and talent.
Round 2 (36) - Kevin Dodd OLB
Kevin Dodd, more than anything, is a very large man with tons of potential. We know he has the size and length, but I also think that his speed will be adequate to be a solid rusher. His pro day 40 was 4.86 sec., and he pulled up injured from it, which I think drops him to us, but I think his speed in-game will not be a problem. If that turns out to be the case, he's shown the he can get to the QB and give our defense a good, young pass rusher.
Round 3 (70) - Tyler Boyd WR
I think Tyler Boyd's combine drops him from mid-2nd to early 3rd, and we snatch a very good WR. I feel the most important thing for a WR is for them to have strong hands, and I Boyd's are some of the best in the class. If he can keep catching as well as he has been, he could be a great possesion guy for Joe to target and use as a safety net even. If his route running fluidity improves, he could also become a massive outside threat to help strech defenses in ways we haven't been able to the past few seasons.
Round 4 - Christian Westerman OG
Westerman fills what is now a need, giving us good depth on the OL. He's strong and his frame compares to Marshal Yanda's. Speaking of the greatest gaurd to ever run block, Westerman will get to learn from the best gaurd in the league and could very quickly iron out some of his deficiencies by watching Yanda's game. He likely wouldn't be a plug-and-play OG, but has the potential to become a starter withing a season or two.
Round 4 - Cyrus Jones CB
Remember when I said Myles Jack could improve our coverage without us having to draft a DB? Well since I've seen the IR list from the past couple seasons, I still think we should take at least one in the draft, especially is someone like Cyrus Jones drops to us. He doesn't quite have the size you'd like, but he's strong and plays hard, which you have to at least respect as a Ravens fan. He could help us with depth at DB, and even maybe even offer us a good slot corner starting this year.
Round 4 - T.J. Green FS
T.J. Green is gonna get passed over a lot because of his tackling and lack of experience, but he has a lot of the physical traits that you'd like out of a DB like length and speed. He adapted fairly well to the safety position, and that makes me confident that he'll be able to refine his coverage and tackling. It's not an immediately impactful move, but could give us a good special teamer and rotational guy while he develops.
