  1. I"m glad Watkins and Woods are playing for Buffalo against Pitt on Sunday!  Really hope the Bills can pull that game off!

    Mike Rodak ESPN Staff Writer

Rex Ryan confirms that WRs Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods should be "ready to roll" against Pittsburgh. Both are listed as questionable.

Bad injury news for Bills though is that DT Kyle Williams might not play:

    Mike Rodak ESPN Staff Writer

Rex Ryan says he is "concerned" that DT Kyle Williams cannot play Sunday after his back locked up last night. Ryan says Jerel Worthy and others will need to step up.

Bills DT Kyle Williams did not practice Friday because of a back injury. He is questionable for Sunday's game against Pittsburgh.

Yes, it's an absolute joke of a website.  It's slickly designed and fun to look at, but the actual content is ridiculously biased.  They give 0.0 cheat points to the Patriots over Deflategate?  But they did give out a positive number of cheat points to various other teams for similar (and less egregious) instances of "deflategating" (as you pointed out).  They also give teams like the Jets the same cheat points for Spygate as they gave the Patroits.  They seriously undermine their integrity by downplaying to this extent something as obviously severe as Spygate.

The worst in my opinion is giving the Colts a +9.0 cheat score and "Serious Infraction!" medal for "Suck For Luck"-gate?  Seriously?  Losing on purpose isn't even cheating.  It is, quite literally, not against the rules.  If that was even what happened, of which there is literally no proof that they lost on purpose.  It's an assumption (perhaps even a fair one), but it's not proven, and it's not cheating even if they did do it.  And yet it's considered a far more serious instance of cheating than anything the Patriots have ever done.

    That site is a joke.

That's the Patriots logic for you.,,constantly trying to find a way to justify their cheating.  Patriots have 0 integrity in my opinion.

The question here is... when he returns, what position does he play?

Based on everything I've read, Yanda moving to LG is permanent for the rest of the season, as I'm not sure he will be healthy enough this year to play RG anymore. By several accounts, moving to LG is what kept him off of IR.

Knowing that, it would seem that Lewis' only position he could play is RG, which I don't believe is a position he's played yet. Not to say he couldn't, but with Duscasse playing OK and the continuity of the line seemingly being a key difference, one would question whether he would return to a starting role at all.

This is a very big question.  Clearly, I think the options are 1) He plays RG if the coaching staff feels he is the best option there (also depends on how line is playing...if we are rolling, we may ride Ducasse anyway to not break up the continuity.  2) He is top reserve for LT, RT, and LG...Even if this is the option, I will feel better.  Right now, we are one play away from Hurst in the game.

I mean they're really not going to that great of lengths though.

They videotaped some practices and a ball boy deflated some footballs. That's not really going to great lengths on anything.

That's what they've officially been punished for.  Not to mention, Spygate was most likely much worse than was proven because there is HUGE evidence that the NFL covered up a lot of it.

At least 5 teams have reported suspected foul play by the Patriots involving headsets

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/09/11/at-least-five-teams-have-suspected-patriots-of-headset-tampering/

Not to mention Peyton Manning, one of the smartest NFL quarterbacks...suspected the Patriots had the locker room bugged.

I firmly believe the Patriots are the BIGGEST CHEATS in all of sports.  This is why I'd rather lose to the Steelers than the Patriots.  I can't stand the Steelers, but I respect them (at least a little)  I have NOOOO respect for the Patriots and if Goodell and the NFL had a backbone, I think the Patriots would have been caught and punished many more times.  Seattle may have the 12th man, but the Cheaters probably have about 20!

With OLineman, versatility is a big asset, and we don't necessarily draft players who are set at one position. KO was versatile, Yanda is versatile, and I think Lewis is as well.

I agree with this.  This is another reason I think it would be really nice to be able to hold on to Wagner.  Then, Lewis could start at G, but could also be a quality backup option if either tackle went down...much easier to find a quality backup interior lineman (see Ducasse who was out of a job until we had injuries) than a quality backup tackle.

If we finish 10-6, we're likely winning the division, so it doesn't matter what Buffalo does.

It was more of a reference that people think 9-7 has a chance at a wildcard. I agree Miami will fall off and Denver's schedule is brutal down the stretch, but Buffalo is a team nobody is talking about in reference to a wildcard berth.

I'm not confident that Pitt will lose again.  They COULD run the table.  I think Buffalo and us are there only real challenges left.  I think they beat Cincy and obviously Cleveland.  So, it is POSSIBLE we lose to Pitt, but beat NE, Philly, and Cincy and go 10-6...which would give us a chance a a wildcard if Denver loses 2 more and Miami loses 1 more.

    How about they lose both!

I like the sounds of that!  I have said before my "dream scenario" is us beating Pats and Eagles and Steelers losing to Bills and Bengals.  Then, we have the division wrapped up before Christmas and a chance to end any playoff hopes for the Steelers on Christmas Day!

If the Steelers lose to the Bills and we win vs the Patriots, we will be in good shape.

False (unless the calculator has a bug). If we lose to the steelers, they will win tiebreaker in common games.

The ESPN playoff machine is wrong!  WE win the Common Games tiebreak.  I have lost all respect for ESPN's playoff machine over this.  I have reported it to them, and they have done nothing to change it.  Try nflplayoffpredictor.com  Basically, there is no way we can lose a tiebreak to Pittsburgh. (barring any tied games--I haven't factored that in)

A Bengals loss is still highly preferred IMO, it would shoulder the load a ton on the Bal-Pit game under the assumption we're on pace to finish the same record, take care of Cincy and we're in.

For the Ravens playoff chances a Steelers loss to Bills = Steelers loss to Bengals.

Examples:  Steelers lose to Bills OR Bengals, Ravens beat Pats and Eagles. Ravens would only need to wiN @ Pitt OR @ Cincy because either way we hold tiebreak over Pitt.

At this point, a BIlls loss vs. a Bengals loss by the Steelers are equally as helpful.  In all scenarios, barring any tied games, we hold the tiebreaker over PItt.  I broke this down in an earlier post.

    Here it is:

We win the common games tiebreak, so the tiebreakers go no further than that.

Furthermore, doesn't look like division record will come into play either.

Because in order for that to happen, if we  lose to Pitt and 1 other (even vs Bengals)--Pitt has to beat us and lose 2 others (2 of other 3 of their remaining games are vs division--Bills, Bengals, Browns)...both finish at 9-7 with 4-2 div record

    OR

we beat Pats Eagles and Bengals while Pitt drops just 1 (let's say vs Bills)--then we both end up 10-6 and 5-1 in division.

So-basically if we end up tied-we will win division

What happens in Bill-Steelers certainly matters as well. I would highly prefer a loss against the Bengals though.

that seems like a lot given that even if the ravens lose they still control their own destiny - if they lose against the pats an win the other 3 games they literally cant not win the division

Yeah, my guess is because the wildcard is factored in.  I think it implies that if we beat the Pats, then lost to Steelers (but beat Eagles and Bengals..games in which I expect us to be slightly favored), then we'd be 10-6 and still have a decent shot at the wildcard.  Lose this one and the Steelers game, and the wildcard is a lot less likely at 9-7
