  1. Let's go Jets!!!
  2. True, plus wildcard is still a possibility at 9-7 (need Dolphins to lose 2 of 3--they have Jets, Bills, and Patriots left.....and Dolphins to lose 2 of 3--they have Patriots, Chiefs, and Raiders left) ...but This really is a must-win game. This is our last home game and the "easiest" game left on our schedule.
  3. I'm intrigued as well as to who we might get as OC, but I doubt we have any strong in-house candidates, since Marty was obviously our top pick for in-house candidates. Maybe I'm wrong and there is somebody...I certainly don't have much info on our coaching staff.
  4. Yeah, I agree. I am very nervous about these next 3 games (I'm assuming Jimmy will be out for all of them....even though obviously I don't have that information) Hoping and praying that somehow, someway we get into the playoffs by somehow winning these next 3 (or winning 2 of 3 and getting some help from Dolphins and Broncos losing 2 of 3) Then, maybe, just maybe...Jimmy will be healthy enough for a playoff run and January Joe will show back up.
  5. Darren Sproles is OUT vs. the Ravens. Tim McManus ESPN Staff Writer Eagles running back Darren Sproles (concussion) has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Ravens, per Doug Pederson. Ryan Mathews, Kenjon Barner and rookie Byron Marshall -- recently brought up from the practice squad -- all expected to have roles.
  6. Which is a completely bogus rule by the NFL. No way you should get a comp pick for someone you sign in Week 15. They should have to be on your roster all year (or at least a large portion of it) to qualify for a comp pick.
  7. Vs. Pats, Cowboys, and Giants --when the big plays happened, Jimmy was out. I'm afraid we are a great defense when Jimmy is in there, not great when he is out.
  8. I see we are breaking out the Black jerseys again for the final regular season home game. Are we going all black with black pants as well?
  9. Complete classless organization all the way from top to bottom. They'll cheat, sign class-less players, etc. Win at all cost I guess. ZERO integrity.
  10. I have a feeling Jimmy is done for the rest of the regular season, but no way we put him on IR unless we no there is ZERO chance he could return at any point in a possible postseason run. We all know the difference in our defense with and without Jimmy.
  11. Me too. Marty is almost definitely gone, but hard to get rid of Pees...the defense has been awesome when healthy (when Jimmy Smith plays)...the focus on defense should be finding quality corners behind Jimmy and Tavon.
  12. On the surface I agree with you, but look at their schedule. The Jets...does anyone have confidence in them to beat anybody? The Bills...very schizophrenic team...depends what team shows up...also, how will they respond now that they are all but eliminated from playoff contention. The Patriots...Will they have anything to play for. I believe they hold the tiebreaker over the Chiefs, so if they go into Week 17 up by a game on the Chiefs, the #1 seed could be clinched (depending on what Raiders do because I think Raiders hold the tiebreak)...I wouldn't be shocked if the Patriots have #1 locked up if they rest everyone and intentionally lose because you know they would rather face a Tannehill-less Dolphins as a potential opponent over us! Not saying the Dolphins definitely win 2 of 3, but definitely hard to count on. I will be rooting like crazy for the Jets, Bills, (and that other AFC East team in the final week if I have to)
  13. Just saw this reported on ESPN: Jamison Hensley ESPN Staff Writer It was an emotional Thursday at Ravens headquarters, from Steve Smith throwing his helmet to coach John Harbaugh's emotional end-of-practice talk to the team. "You have to understand, we're all a little messed up," LB Terrell Suggs said. "It was an emotional loss (at New England). We really wanted that one. We're just a little edgy. But I think it's good to be a little edgy in December." Not sure if this is a good sign or a bad sign. I could see it going either way. This emotion could spark them or it could mean the team starts to unravel. Hopefully, they come out firing vs. the Eagles!
  14. Looks like the Eagles may be without Sproles for Sunday's game: Tim McManus ESPN Staff Writer No sign of running back Darren Sproles at Eagles practice today. He remains in concussion protocol after brutal hit on punt return against Washington. Ryan Mathews and Kenjon Barner expected to carry bulk of load against Baltimore if Sproles can't go. 21m
  15. Not so sure about that. ESPN is already contradicting themselves. They obviously (now) don't think Harbaugh's seat is too warm because they just posted a ranking of the top 10 best potential head-coaching vacancies and the Ravens aren't even on the list: http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/18280597/ranking-nfl-best-potential-coaching-jobs-2016
  16. Mostly true, but not completely. If the Bengals beat the Steelers and we lose to the Eagles, we could still win the division by beating Pitt and Cincy. I guess what I'm saying is that I get the narrative from a media standpoint, but it still makes me nervous as a fan when the next game for the Ravens is almost completely overlooked.
  17. Not sure why we are debating what the Packers will do in this forum. The only way this relates to the Ravens is if any of these guys might be free agent targets for the Ravens. Cobb is really the only guy I think the Ravens MIGHT be interested in for the right price, and I highly doubt he will be the "right price" for us even if he does get released. I guess there is a small chance we "kick the tires" on someone like Lacy if it is a cheap prove-it one year deal or something like that. Bottom line is I don't expect the Ravens to be big players in the free agent market this year. I think last year was an anomaly with Watson/Weddle/Wallace. I guess, never say never if the right player came along. For example, if a true #1 corner all of a sudden became available (which I definitely do not expect to happen), I could see Ozzie shelling out some big bucks to make a run...but that is not reality.
  18. DId you watch the game? We were in it until the very end, despite a horrible first half. Obviously, I am very disappointed that we lost and how we played for much of the game, but to say it was an "easy win" by the Patriots is "a laugh-er" I bet the Patriots are hoping they don't see us again in the playoffs!
  19. Agree to disagree. Obviouisly, nobody knows how "warm" his seat is other than Steve and Ozzie. I personally agree more with @rmcjacket23 than ESPN. I would be SHOCKED if Harbaugh is not our coach next year. Hopefully, we will never know how "warm" it was because we will all be watching a Ravens playoff run!
  20. Luke Jones @BaltimoreLuke Beating Pittsburgh at Heinz Field will be a tall order, but even winning at Cincinnati the following week shouldn't be viewed as some layup. Quotes (and articles similar to this) make me nervous. Everyone seems to be talking about our last 2 games @ Pitt and @ Cincy and totally forgetting about the Eagles game. I know the Steelers and Bengals are our toughest games left, and they are on the road, but this team is in no shape to forget about any team, especially with Jimmy Smith most certainly out. Hopefully the Ravens aren't taking the Eagles for granted!
  21. That does hurt, but what hurts even more is saying Go Patriots (have to root against Dolphins and Broncos to give us another path should we drop a game)
  22. 2006 season to be precise: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/rav/playoffs.htm Therefore, John Harbaugh (as head coach) and Joe Flacco have NEVER been one and done in the playoffs. This proves the Ravens have just as good as chance as anybody if we can find a way to get into the postseason. We all know January Joe is a far different animal that regular season Joe!
  23. Excellent point. Plus, I think the new rules on chop blocks have really hampered the ZBS. We are definitely trying to figure out our offensive identity. Hopefully, Marty can figure some things out and make us respectable for the rest of the year. Then, hopefully we can find someone to bring in as OC next year that can jumpstart this offense. I had hopes that Mary would be the long-term solution at OC, but now I am not seeing it that way.
