  1. I agree. It would be pretty awesome to see it played in pouring rain. Looks like there is even a chance it might be snow. Definitely will be interesting to see how the weather forecast shapes up. The predictions in New England tend to change pretty drastically pretty quickly. https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l/USMA0555:1:US Mon Dec 12 Rain 43° 33° 80% SW 11 mph 87% 1 of 10 7:04 am 4:13 pm 3:32 pm 5:02 am Cloudy with periods of rain. High 43F. Winds SW at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 80%. Rainfall near a half an inch. Mon Night Dec 12 Rain/Snow Showers -- 33° 60% W 10 mph 89% 0 of 10 7:04 am 4:13 pm 3:32 pm 5:02 am Rain showers early mixing with snow showers late. Low 33F. Winds W at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precip 60%. About one inch of snow expected.
  2. I agree. I will be very nervous going into that game, assuming that game will determine the divsion, which it very well may. However, IF somehow we beat the Pats Monday night and Rex Ryan, Tyrod Taylor, and the Bills beat the Steelers on Sunday, then we will be in a position where any 2 wins in our final 3 games will give us the division (Eagles, @ Steelers, @ Bengals) That is what I am hoping for. It would be the icing on the cake if that happened, then in Week 15 the Bengals beat the Steelers and we beat the Eagles to clinch the division! Wishful thinking I know. Also, this game vs. Patriots is big because it keeps the possibility of a wildcard alive (even if Steelers run table to go 11-5). 10-6 could still sneak us in as the last wildcard (if Broncos lose twice and Dolphins lose 1 more)
  3. I would LOVE to see Suggs, Doom, Judon, and company slamming pretty boy Brady down in the mud!
  4. We might not have a choice in this matter. If the Steelers beat the Bills, Bengals, and Browns (and lose to us), they will be 10-6 and have a good shot at the wildcard berth (and most likely play us in the 1st round in that scenario as the AFC North winner is likely to be the 3 seed, and KC/Oakland will most likely be 5 seed)
  5. Ed Hochuli's crew to ref the game. Just saw this on ESPN.com Mike Reiss ESPN Staff Writer Ed Hochuli has been assigned as referee for the Ravens-at-Patriots game on ESPN's "Monday Night Football" on Dec. 12. This is Hochuli's first Patriots game of the season. Given the recent history between the teams, with the Patriots using eligible receivers as ineligible to spark them to victory, the referee assignment for this game has some added meaning.
  6. Yeah, I think the Denver-Tennessee game will be a good game too. Tennessee is still fighting for their playoff lives in a weak AFC South. If Broncos lose twice(@ Titans, vs. Patriots, @ Chiefs, and vs. Raiders) AND Dolphins lose one more, the Ravens can get in playoffs @ 10-6, even if they lose @ PItt (needs wins @ Patriots, vs. Eagles, and @ Bengals) Obviously, beating the Steelers is the preferred path because it would win the division and get a home playoff game, but wildcard is still a possibility at 10-6 (and small chance at 9-7)
  7. As much as I can't stand the Steelers, I actually dislike Burfict more than any Steeler. I will never root for an injury to another player, no matter how much I dislike that player.
  8. I agree, but the rankings are what they are for 2 reasons: 1) The media LOVES the Steelers. 2) The Steelers beat down the Chiefs 43-14 in Week 4. Therefore, the media has an excuse (and actually a pretty decent one) to put the Steelers ahead of the Chiefs The Steelers (and Patriots) will always get the benefit of the doubt in these pointless power rankings because the media loves them.
  9. Yeah, that was an awesome play by Webb. I was really glad to see him make such a big play. In my opinion, he has gotten a lot of unjust criticism by fans this year. I think it's because he's been solid, but hasn't made the splashy plays. Pretty impressive for a defender to make the top 5 catches of the week!
  10. Win our division this year and it looks like you'll get your wish (for 2017 at least). Ravens play an AFC East team next year at home that finishes in the same spot in their division. http://www.fbschedules.com/nfl-17/2017-baltimore-ravens-football-schedule.php 2017 Baltimore Ravens Opponents HOME: Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Houston, Indianapolis, Chicago, Detroit, AFC East* AWAY: Cincinnati, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Green Bay, Minnesota, AFC West* * Team from that division that finishes in the same spot in the 2016 standings.
  11. Please guys. Let's drop the commentary of the use of profanity. I come hear to read post about the Ravens, not this garbage. The best thing to do is ignore comments like this. The Ignore User function works great. Don't feed the trolls.
  12. It was part of their C'mon segment. They showed the play and blanked out the score and said "what is the score?"
  13. Let's hope so. The Bills will definitely be a desperate team. They have to win out to have ANY shot at the playoffs. It sure would be nice if they could pull it off! Come on Rex!!! Rally the troops!!!
  14. I didn't see the picture, but that's hard to believe since they obviously warmed up on the field. Or was the pic from warmups? I could see them coming out in warmups with that, but then changing before the game starts if they really didn't realize we now have grass instead of turf.
  15. If pitt loses 2 more, one has to be vs division (bills bengals us and browns left. That would put them at 4-2 in division. Worst we can do is 4-2 in division). If pitt only loses 2 (lets say to bills) and we lose to pitt, in order to be tied at 10-6 we'd have to beat bengals, therefore we'd both be 5-1 in division. if somehow we tie at 8-8, pitt would be 3-3 in division. only scenario i'm not accounting for is any ties.
  16. No he was inactive. http://www.nfl.com/inactives i can't believe we are taking about a player that didn't play win we are in a race for the division and just beat a team with a winning record 38-6. I guess some people have to find somethjng negative to focus on and Sunday didn't give those people much fuel. The guy is a developmental draft pick. Give him a couple years and rhwn we can decide if he was a good pick or not.
  17. Gotcha. Yeah, if we beat Pats and Eagles and Steelers lose to Bills and Bengals, we clinch division before Christmas.
  18. Couldn't agree more. I think he is definitely a guy that got the most out of his talent. I have a feeling he would make a great coach if he wanted to pursue that.!
  19. We can't both lose out because we play each other. We theoretically could both finish 8-8 if each team lost 3 of the 4 games. In that crazy scenario, the Bengals would be involved as well. If they won out, they'd win the division. If they lose 1 and the above happens, we win....but that involves the Steelers losing to the Browns at home, so I think we can discount that scenario.
  20. Yes, we would be at 10-4, Steelers would be at 8-6. Steelers would have 2 division losses (us and Bengals, we would have 0 with 2 to play) We own the common games tiebreak.
  21. Don't see NE falling to 11-5. Even if we beat them, I can't see them losing more than one other game, which means 12-4 at worst.--obviously I would love to be wrong and see them drop more, but not seeing that happening For Pitt, I see 9-10 wins. Again, even if we beat them, I can't see them losing more than one other (most likely next week at a desperate Bills team)--obviously I would love to be wrong and see them drop more, but not seeing that happening Denver could definitely fall to 9-7 or 10-6 with that schedule left.
  22. Teams can't challenge turnovers. All turnovers are automatically reviewed. There's nothing a coach can do about it.
  23. In reality, it doesn't even matter any more regarding Pitt losing to Bills vs. Bengals. Here are the scenarios where us and Steelers have same record. (barring any ties) 1) 10-6 We beat Steelers, lose 1 other game. Pitt wins @ Bills, @ Bengals, and v. Browns. We win Head to Head 2) 10-6 We beat Pats, Eagles, Bengals, lose to Pitt. Pitt loses any game left (Bills, Bengals, or Browns)--If Pitt loses to Bengals, we win via division record. If Pitt loses to Bills, divsion record is tied and we win via common games tiebreak. 3) 9-7. Beat Steelers, lose 2 of 3 to Pats, Eagles, Bengals. Steelers lose another game. We win head to head. 4) 9-7. Lose to Steelers and Bengals, beat Pats and Eagles (4-2 divsion record) Pitt loses 2 games (Bills, Bengals, Browns--1 of which has to be a division loss, therefore they would be 4-2 in division) and we win Common Games tiebreak 5) 8-8 Lose to Steelers, Bengals, and Eagles or Pats. Steelers lose to Bills, Bengals, and Browns. Balt 4-2 in division, Pitt 3-3 in divsion. Note: We also need one more loss by the Bengals in this extremely unlikely scenario.
  24. I agree that we can't count on the Steelers losing, but there is another path even with a loss to NE...that' wins vs. Eagles, @ Steelers, and @ Bengals...granted, I like your path a lot better because we could actually rest easy in Week 17 in that scenario!
