IMO At least two mediocre teams made the playoffs. We could of made it three.
After reading all the comments I think we should fire the GM fire the HC fire the OC fire the DC fire or cut the QB, guess we are OK at rb cause we cut him after third gams. Cut the center of OL Get rid of entire secondary. I qwonder hoow we won eight games.
PS I know there are more guys to cut or fire bhut I am old and I forgot

The defense just ran out of gas with two over 30 pass rushers and a prevent defense.
Is it my bad memory, but I keep thinking there were not that many three and outs?

Maybe it's my memory I but I remember reading Mike Preston in the Sun papers and he kept saying we have to run more every Monday and I remembered thinking on Sunday that he incomplete pass that made it second and ten was much better than the runs tht made it second and twelve.
IMO Coaches are overrated. The players execute. To stop some of the negs I am going to get, I will admit coaches can help.
I know Joe threw to Pita 16 time because Smith Sr was wide open all day LOL
2 minutes ago, Que3pi said:who cares about throwing for 4000 yards when you can't hit wide open receivers or get the ball down the field. that's like saying a RB rushed for a 1000 yards but averaged 2.0 yards a carry. I would like someone to list Flacco's strengths, because putting in extra work sure isn't one of them
I have to get anew TV. I did not see a wide open receiver in 16 games.

Other teams will view him as an Andy Reid type coach ... a guy who has had relative success but just ran his course on a given team and could succeed with a fresh start somewhere new.
You can't blame people for looking to the former HC ranks for a new coordinator. I don't think we are interested continuing to have coaches use our coordinator spot as a stepping stone to an HC job as has been the case. IMO the best coordinator hiring you can get is a guy who was a fantastic coordinator whose time at HC has run its course and they ready to just settle down into doing they probably loved the most in the first place and ride that out to retirement.
We came so close in getting that in Kubiak. If Fox didn't do such a terrible job in DEN, he may still be here. I welcome seeing anyone we can get who has a chance to put his imprint on the team and might stay for more than a year or two.
IMHO Hiring exHCs as DCs or OCs guarantees they will not be around following year. If they do good job they get HC job back. If they do bad who wants them. IMO Winning leads to winning and losing is its own reward. All you guys that think 9 and 7 is losing should stay in school, = and if you did stay in school I am wrong, you should of quit and hung out in pool halls.

LOSING is never good. Show me a man that likes to lose and I will show you a loser.

Play to win. Losing for the sake of draft picks is how you become the Browns.
Good post . Wish I could of given more than one Thumbs up.

OMG I thought the object of any game was to WIN. even tidley winks. I only read the first five oer six posts and all of them want to cheat. I do not know any of the aprox 70K Bengals fans that paid aprox $100 a piece to see game but I believe they desreve an honest effort by both teams.
Harb's had this team still fighting with six seconds left in the game. I do not know what more you can expect from a coach.

One forty yard pass from Flaco leaves leaves less than a fifty yarder from Tucker. After further review leaves about fifty yarder from Tucker.

I am glad you reminded me about the Pittsburgh coaches. I along with everybody else in here was ready to get rid of Harbs, but now I came to my senses and realized we could get a Tomlin.

At the end of the day the team with the best record will get into the playoffs. There isn't a bunch of guys sitting in a room saying well Flacco didn't play well in 4 of there wins and they only won by one score 5 times but the Chargers have less wins and blew teams out when they did win.
With all due respect it looked more like the WWE tha the NBA

There is no way a real QB throws that ball . There is no way a real oc calls for play to throw that ball there is no way a real hc allows any of the above to hppen

1) What in the world happened to the Run Defense?!!! Unacceptable.
I dont know maybe Pierce isnt getting enough reps or the fact Zdarius Goid run stopper/edge setter has been on the bench for more versatile player and pass rushers like Dum and Judon, but activate Z.Smith, activate Urban., get those big boys up front clogging gaps no reason with our depth and talent up front teams like Jets&Eagles should be cracking 100 rushing on us.
2) Same old story just a different week, Marty&John..
Im glad John took responsibility for awful pass call in redzone with 4-5 minutes left.. run the ball. At worst kick FG and ice the game being up 13
I agree except I think run ball two more times take at least sixty seconds off clock and make them drive the field with only 2 mins left. Nobody in thier .rght mind throws at that point. I suspect WWE. BS.

Yes he was the losing coach in the two super bowl losses to the Redskins.

How badly did the Steelers and Bengals beat us?

Maybe it just me but I read somewhere that we had already beat the Bengals, the Steelers and the Browns twice . If the Ravens are mediocre, what are they?
4 hours ago, redrum52 said:Lmao... SB, Bengals? HAHAHAHAHAH... no.
He won CHAMPIONSHIPS with the Browns. Didn't have SB then. Bengals have appeared in the SB, but he wasn't their coach.
Actually he was the coach in both super bowl losses to DC

Some 70 olds better than others. again Paul Brown or me LOL

There has also never been a coach in the history of the NFL who has won Super Bowls on two different teams. Now I'm not saying this would be a reason not to hire someone, but what I'm saying is the situation is going to be different for Sean Payton coming here or any coach we would be considering.
If we were to hire a new coach one day, I'd rather them hire an up n coming coach instead of a coach that has already won. Just mo.
Didn't Paul Brown win NFL championships = SBs with Cle browns nd then SB with Bengals?

Except his salary cap, whauts the problem with Pitta? Everybody is ragging on him and I thought he had a pretty good year.
