  1. Healthy Crabtree > Torrey

Not saying that out of bitterness or spite, that's always been my honest opinion. Crab is more well rounded and much more effective underneath while still bringing some big play ability down the field. The keyword though is healthy, I'm not sure to what extent Crabtree is still being affected by the ACL. Would love to have him here if we feel good about his rehab and progress from last year.. not sure what his market value is however.

Pre-Injury Crabtree I'd surely agree, but since that injury he hasn't been the same. Of course, in 2013-14 against QB he was looking like the old Crab, but for now Im not convinced he's better. Thats saying He's even healthy now, he's just not the guy was once was.

  2. Out of the released wide receivers, Stevie Johnson really tempts me.

He performed at a high level when being thrown the ball by Ryan Fitzpatrick. If he came to Baltimore, he could get back to performing at a high level.

He'd be much cheaper than Dwayne Bowe, Michael Crabtree or Greg Jennings.

I'm expecting Bowe to be overpaid (likely by Cleveland). I'd happily take either of Crabtree or Jennings, but I'd expect Johnson to be cheaper than either.

I can understand New England going after Steve Johnson, there were many times when he did some damage to Derrelle Revis.

  3. I believe in michael Campanaro..When he's healthy i really feel he could be a top receiver. He's super athletic for his size..hes got a great set of hands and his route running is good.

If we could snatch Maxx williams in the second round ( and that is possible) and Draft Jalen Strong or Devin smith that will be enough to offset what we lost on offense.

Id be pretty happy if we can get Strong/Williams or Smith/Williams.

  4. I don't expect Ozzie to move any more than 5 spots as it would be way to expensive. If we do pick at 26, I just don't see WR being BPA. I wouldn't be surprised if Ozzie does his typical move and drafts an Edge rusher to develop for when Doom and Sizz are over the hill.

We have a lot of ammo in this draft and we would be better off trading up in the 2nd for a receiver than trying to jump a bunch of teams in the 1st or pick a guy who is not near BPA.

Id say 10. I mean, the back end of this class is pretty weak. If Oz gets a good deal, somewhat like a 4th and a 5th to send, then I think he should take it.

  5. I don't know, if Cooper and White are gone by the Minnesota pick, I think it's possible that Parker goes to Minnesota.  That being said, it's quite possible that Cooper falls out of the top 10 and goes to Minnesota.  White may be a freak and have a higher upside, but Cooper is the best route runner of the two and the most polished receiver in this class.

Why Minnesota? I mean they traded for Mike Wallace and they might haven't given up on Patterson, if Patterson is still on the roster when the draft arrives then picking Parker wouldn't make too much sense besides the fact that he's Teddy Bridgewaters college teammate, something that I don't find as a valid thing to point out anymore as too why they would pick him.

If they move Patterson than it's more convincing, if not, than DeVante Parker would be the 2nd WR they'd be picking in the first round in two seasons, that doesn't happen often, also combined with the fact that they've JUST traded for Mike Wallace.

I'm not buying it unless they move Patterson.

  6. if he signs, thats just one more team ahead of us that is less likely to draft a WR.

i had devante parker going to either the browns or miami, if they can both be scratched off the list i think parker is in official "trade up" territory, althought a bidding war may be imminent

Cleveland really wants Bowe, if they draft Parker if could be a sign that they're done with Josh Gordon, but then again, Josh Gordon is too good for them to let go. They're trying to keep a hold of him.

I hope he slips past 15, we def. have a great chance.

  7. Not trying to derail the thread, but don't want to make a new one. With Ngata done and Rays cap hit, let's assume Pitta can play and is healthy (2016). With the extra room, what would our cap space look like next year going into FA , even with the Flacco hit, as is?

It's tough to tell because FA isn't over and we do have to sign our draft picks. Ray and Ngata's hit's will be gone and that'll free up $ at about 15M, but Flacco's cap hit will rise by 14M. I think his hit will be at $20M or $19M after reconstructing.

Look out for Webb, another down season and he surly will get cut as the savings are at $6M. I think Zuttah could get cut this season or next, depends on what happens in Camp, Urchel looks to be a great OL for us, who's cheaper and the savings are at $2M.

Pretty sure there will be a deal done for Joe, I'm guessing the savings will be at $4M or something like that, It's a guess.

If I had to bet, I'd say we'd end up with $15M-20M in cap. Around that area.
