He did great stuff in Florida and Seattle, I thought he would help the Falcons but what he has done with them in such short order is great stuff. That team used to have a terrible defense, not anymore

Man, can you believe that he's turned them around from a team on the down-fall to potentially a SB Champ in two years? I mean that's crazy.

Okay cool, I have no problem admitting when I am wrong, especially when it is about the Pats not being as good as I thought. I just don't want words put in my mouth.

Yeah the Falcons defense is playing lights out. Always liked Quinn but I didn't think he would be this good with the Falcons young talent. They are crushing it

No problem I'm just messing with you lol I didn't actually expect this to happen, dude I'm just super hyped at what I'm seeing right now. Quinn might be the next great NFL HC. IMO He's might be better than Carroll.

Yeah you know I said multiple times that I thought the Pats D was overrated right? I also said multiple times the Falcons would score their points.

Falcons D be beasting though, especially that secondary

Lol yeah I'm just messing with ya, I'm just shocked by what's going on. Falcons defense was slept on big time.

For the record the pass rush isn't doing great, a lot of the pressure is due to the secondary covering so long.

Like I said, this Patriots defense is overrated and this Falcons defense is underrated. This is NE's first time matching up against an elite offense like Atlanta and it's killing them. As I also said, Dan Quinn is a really really good coach.

I mean they went into Denver this year and did well against them even. Only defense that I saw give them struggles was Seattle in the first game.

Would love to have seen them against the Denver defense though

So what do you think bro? :D

Lots of talk about Julio but when Freeman and Coleman were both healthy, they were both top 10 RBs in fantasy. Tells you a lot about how good their running game and that zone scheme is.

Their run game is far above NE's and I personally think their run blocking is up their with the elite run blocking teams.

Ive always said the year the Ravens beat them the Ravens would have lost if Pats had Gronk or Talib just as I think the Ravens would have won if they had either Pitta or Smith.  In the playoffs the team with the healthiest top players typically wins when you get down to the top teams.

Maybe that's the case, but I was speaking in terms of what Jimmy would've provided for us. Of course the healthiest team wins, but I was speaking in terms exclusively to Jimmy's impact and what we lost.

A CB cant get interceptions if the WR is covered...and the qb doesnt even throw the ball his way....

I stopped reading after that sentence, pretty sure that was a good idea

    The Jimmy trolls are hilarious.

Bottom-Line is this, we're not winning a SB without Jimmy Smith, not if he's hurt and especially if we cut him. I personally think we would've beaten NE back in 2015 Divisional and this isn't a slight at that team, many people who knows Jimmy Smith agree with that statement, not only would we could have won, but I think we would have thrashed the Colts en-route to what could have been our 3rd SB victory. Now that's a complete hypothetical but one that's very possible given the insane year the guy was having.

Great question because they both bring a little something extra to the game in that Smith and Flacco have the chemistry and Smith still has deep speed but that's all he brings to the table as a WR. Wallace isn't the best route runner and no longer has that killer speed but he's shown he can still do all that to some capacity.  I think as a complete weapon Wallace is just better than Smith but if you're talking teammate and deep threat then Smith may be better.  I recall Wallace getting visibly upset at times last year so this could factor into the equation as well.

Now that I think about it, I really don't know. OP put up a good question.

I honestly think scheme comes into effect and it might be somewhat of an effect for Torrey. I think we could've saw a much better Torrey Smith had he played in an offense that didn't feature so many crossing/shallow patterns because his stiff hips and trouble with his breaks, he just didn't run those routes consistently well. I feel like we could have gotten a lot more in another offense from him. Same case can be made for Wallace but Torrey didn't get to show as much as he could. Let's not forget, in the 2013 season Torrey Smith led the league in receiving yards with 623 and we completely burning guys as the de facto #1 WR with virtually no help at the other receiver positions, running game, and to include poor QB play that was contributed largely by lack of an OL and running game. Team knew Torrey was the only capable receiver but he completely destroying coverage and defensive backs. His 2013 season could've been a big year for him, I'm talking potentially 1,300 Yards and 6+TDs had he gotten the help he needed and that's in an offense that's not the best fit for him. I always felt that Torrey catches way too much slack here, his 2013 season is impressive given the circumstances and maybe...just maybe his 2014 season was simply a down year comparable to the seasons we've seen from guys like Alshon Jeffery, Brandon Marshall, and others.

  10. I think Corey Davis and Mike Williams are definitely better than any of the receivers we saw last class and by a strong margin. I really wouldn't be opposed to trading up for either, to get the best you'll have to pay for the best. Julio Jones shows that if you can land a supreme talent like that, it can be a franchise changer.

Possibly, but I truly feel Perriman is going to break out this year with more targets as he becomes a bigger part of the offense. In my opinion, a 5th year option is likely.

I think he's going to break out too, but you just never know, you might see him break out year 4 of his deal and miss out on picking up the 5th year option. I personally thinks he emerges this year. I can't wait honestly.

It's still a possibility we could take him this year.  Wallace is getting older and isn't under contract for 2018.  Davis is an excellent route winner and although I'd rather have a cb or edge defender in the first, I wouldn't be upset with Davis.

I'd also add that Perriman is heading towards year 3 of his rookie deal(Yeah, already) and a 5th year option might not be in the works. So you might be looking at him entering his last year of his deal in year 4 with no 1st round option.

  13. Kupp is getting too much press and recognition to fall to the 4th. Doubt that happens unless something out there we don't know about him comes out.

I like the other picks, haven't studied everyone but it makes a ton of sense for us to pick a center if we don't address one via FA.
