  1. It's been real you guys. I'll miss yall.
  2. Oh yeah certainly, but what matters is that he's out there playing for us more than anything. But you're spot on about his toughness, he's just built for this game.
  3. You're comparison between Torrey and Breshad is really unfair. You know very well that Breshad's injuries didn't help at all, it's kinda ridiculous to compare the stats side-by-side like that. Honestly Breshad could be argued as the better talent. He can do almost everything Torrey can do and then some. Guy just needs time to refine his craft and stay healthy. There was talk his first season of OTAs that he was flying off the map and playing better than anyone they have seen in recent memory. On the first day of training camp there was talk that he was preforming at a high level and was gunning for the starting job over Aiken who broke out for 900 yards on the season. I honestly expect Breshad to break out his 3rd year as the Ravens #1 WR and I think he's going to prove doubters wrong big time. Guy has serious talent and upside, this is the 1st time where he can finally refine his craft with a great coach in Bobby Ingram.
  4. This is honestly my favorite pick in the draft, Siragusa comes close though but Williams is such a great pick here. He's got such talent and upside to go along with it. I think he's plenty refined and has great burst running to the QB. He's easily more ahead of the curve than Za'Darius and Judon were when they got drafted. That to go along with the value of picking him in the 3rd just makes me so happy.
  5. Surely, but you take any franchise LT away from any team and they could have trouble. We saw a tremendous drop in the OLs performance once Stanley went down. We're going to have to rely on Stanley to be healthy, just the nature of the position. You can say that without Yanda we could be in trouble but teams are able to maneuver around an injured guard much better than an injured LT. Yanda isn't a guy with a history of injuries so I'm hoping he doesn't experience trouble. I think we should see stability and good play from 3 of the 5 spots on the OL. During our 2014 season when we had the #2 ranked OL, we were shifting guys all over the place, we went to NE with Hurst-Urschel-Zuttah-KO-Yanda and we pushed them around all day long and dominated their front. I think we need someone who can run a scheme and make sure that guys are playing up to their strengths more than anything.
  6. I'm not a fan of the Wormly pick, but this was a great pick. Definitely our best in the draft IMO and I envision him as a day-1 starter.
  7. Such a steal.
  8. In terms of the offensive line, C and RT are concerns, but no one expects Stanley or Lewis to make big leaps in year 2? Stanley was a monster towards the end of the year and qualified as one of the best LTs in the final 4 weeks of the season and Lewis was a solid pass blocking guard, I do anticipate he will make improvements in the run game. I think this OL will be just fine, I don't think it will be near as bad as the 2013 OL.
  9. Denver didn't really have much of an impressive offense and Seattle certainly didn't either. The Broncos got under 200 yards of passing offense in SB50. They both ran the ball really well but when they both won it all neither had a passing attack to brag about. I think the Ravens can manage points but there could be times where the offense underwhelms. I think the team is banking on Flacco and Perriman to at least make this a top 15 offense. I don't think the Ravens need to have a top 5 offense, if they're at the 15-10 range they will be a very good team. I think they certainly need to add a receiver and they will.
  10. Oh another thing to add, I think Jimmy Smith is going to be a monster and revert to that Jimmy Smith we saw from 2014. He is, as he said for the first time not 100% healthy to the point where he can participate in team OTAs. He must feel really good and if so I see no reason why he won't return to his 2014 form. I think he's going to be a #1 shut down CB. That's going to be a mega-boost for this defense honestly and would propel us to potentially having the best defense in the league by a good margin. We could honestly put out the best defense seen since the last Broncos team that won the SB and a secondary that compares to that of the Seattle Seahawks from 2013-2015. People are forgetting how much of a game-changer that could be for us.
  11. I think I'll agree with Jeff here, I think the Ravens are certainly going to add a WR. I definitely understand the frustration with the lack of action on offense, but do you guys remember how the Patriots completely broke out "#1 Ranked Defense" down? We can't go into NE with that same unit and expect to win. I think this unit can certainly hold it down, just need the offense to put up, which seems hard to put your money on.
  12. Looking back on it, Biscotti said he doesn't want to have to score 28 to win a game. I think the Ravens want to score a solid amount of points to win games. Look at the prime of this Ravens team from 2008-2012. We never had an elite offense ever, just a good enough offense that was able to put up more than 15-20. That's all we needed because our defense was so good that we consistently held people under 20, on many occasions under 15. I think the Ravens want to get back to that, Im not trying to justify the Ravens lack of action on the offensive end, but my guess is that the team just feels Joe, Breshad and the TEs are going to get better, if both guys break out, then we should at least be able to field a top 15 offense.
  13. I expect this defense to be top 3. Simple as that.
  14. I'm sort of worried about the offense, I'll have to cave in to some of the guys here. I mean we lost Steve Smith Sr. and didn't bring in any upgrades and lost two starters on the OL. They obviously have a plan. I'm a big Perriman fan and I think he's going to break out but lets not act like the injury concerns are not there because they certainly are. I just hope someone does something.
  15. Man i hope Lamp falls to us.
  16. The chances of us passing on Lamp if he's there is very minimal. I don't think we'll pass on him.
  17. Nah I think we're going to be better this year than last.
  18. Let's go! love this pick! Great fit.
  19. I've been having this debate with people, between who would win in a street fight, Mike Tyson or Bruce Lee. You had to bet your life earnings on either of these two. Between the two, Tyson and Lee, who would you pick? Me personally, I'm going with Tyson. Dude is just no-joke and In my opinion the greatest boxer ever. As a fan of Bruce Lee, it pains me to pick Tyson but I think its the reality of what would happen, I still believe it would be a close fight though.
  20. I really want Mangold here. Please make it happen, it could be a game changer for the offensive line.
  21. Don't you guys think its unusual for the Ravens to trade a solid young player with a low cap hit? The writing was on the wall for Jernigan, he wasn't going to remain. I understand you can be upset with some of the teams moves at still love them. This move is one that just doesn't upset me, the Pitta one surely does but not this one. I'd rather move on from Timmy and get something from him.
  22. Honestly, I'm not upset at the slightest and I don't think Jernigan had a shot to come back here to begin with. Love the guy but he couldn't register a full season with us. He seemed to play at his best in the start, middle or end of the season. We never got a full year of productivity from him here and its not worth paying a high price. To add, Jernigan disappeared very badly at the end of the year and was probably our worst DL, I personally think that cost him big time. I don't think he's going to break FA. I've honestly been fine about the idea of trading Jernigan since the trade rumors came about. I can understand the frustration but he was not going to be here next year. Not happening.
  23. His value is as high as it will get. We can get a 2nd rounder from trading him and to be honest with you I only have one problem with it--Who's replacing him? That's it, outside of that I can understand trading him. I'd like to point out that Jernigan had an underwhelming end to the season, and when I say underwhelming, I mean bad, like it was awful. He looked gassed, didn't look like a beast in the run game and got close to no pressure on the pass rush. He was honestly part of the reason why teams ran it on us better and why QBs had more time in the pocket. We might have been a bottom 5 run D if Williams wasn't here. I'm also seeing a trend with Jernigan and that's the fact that he isn't a guy who can make an impact for a full season, his first year he splashed in the mid-season due to a combination of consistency, injuries and getting used to the NFL, his 2nd year he had a dreadful start to the season and picked it up towards the end of the year, this year he had a magnificent start then crashed at the end of the year. The Ravens just are not getting a full-year out of Jernigan nor are they getting that perennial pro bowl caliber of a player that they could absolutely get from him. If this trend that Jernigan sets carries on to next season, then I don't think he's going to make close to the top DTs/DEs of the league.
  24. I think he's a mighty fine player but he needs to improve in the mental and technical aspect of the game. He needs to sell and refine his routes, not only that but find the soft spots in coverages and learn how to beat double teams.
  25. Definitely think we'll need a RT but I think that's where the in-house or late draft pick arrives. The point of emphasis on many OLs is placed on LT, G and C. Many teams that consider themselves to have elite OLs are not that strong at RT. I wouldn't want us to use a 1st on an RT, I would be disappointed if we did that. I doubt Lewis is playing RT either, I think the team just loves him at LG and think he might be a star there. Yeah, Center is my biggest concern, I think Zuttah was in for an underwhelming year next year if he was asked to participate in man/gap scheme which is what he's not built for so letting him go just didn't hurt us as much as some are led to believe. I think we hit on a C in the 3rd round honestly. I wouldn't even rule out a trade either.
