  1. We'll see, Matt Ryan has played some damn good games where Julio is either limited or didn't play. We'll see what NE does but they're going to have a tough task. I'm just worried because the Falcons are built similarly to the Steelers, but then again, they're not playing in NE and we all know the Patriots are better at home.
  2. That's seriously bold. lol
  3. That said, this was a horrible post-season. I'm very disappointed by the title games today, not competitive at all, not to mention not seeing was Oak was capable off, the Chiefs crapping the bed and the numerous blowouts. No upsets at all, just what you expected outside of GB-DAL, that's really the only good game I could point to.
  4. Absolutely, here's to hoping Joe has a great year.
  5. Yeah, as long as Bill Belichick is HC you just can't rule out NE. They might even come into this game thinking themselves as underdogs.
  6. Hey, at least we're the only team to beat NE at their home when they were leading at half-time, and the only team to beat them at their home in the AFC title game. Let's be honest here, we're a spoiled rotten fan-base. I get that NE and Pitt are as well, but the fact that we were the only ones to do that, c'mon man, no one can take that away from us. Makes me so proud of this franchise. I love this team so damn much man.
  7. The thing I'm worried about is that ATL is built similar to Pittsburgh. Strong at the line, run game and QB. #1 WR in the league who opens up for others. I think NE can scheme well for ATL if they play their cards right. That said, here's to hoping ATL wins.
  8. ATL has always been really good prior to there downfall, but now they're back. I'll have to agree between Ryan and Flacco, I just hope Joe exploads next season
  9. Love to see Steelers lose but I'm a fan of another team I would be fairly disappointed to see the Patriots in the SB again.
  10. Yeah I thought that as well, reminds me of Joe during his run.
  11. ATL doing a great job of scheming up pressure.
  12. Lol, Upshaw can play now?
  13. Yeah, I'm not blown away by anyone after Julio in terms of WRs.
  14. I don't think you can give all the credit to Kyle. Matt Ryan has always been accurate, this time he's making better decisions and not panicking when things break down. He looks very refined.
  15. He really doesn't, he's playing with so much posse and determination. Like he knows what's ahead of him. Looks like a SB winning QB.
  16. Ryan looks very confident. Looks different than past years.
  17. I don't see how Correa is an 4-3 OLB or an ILB only, he played exclusively at OLB by the time the reg. season rolled around and trying to force him back into the ILB role is just going to make it tougher for him to be an pass rusher for you, something that the team envision Correa as. They see him as a hybrid but if the Ravens are hoping he develops as a pass rusher. I don't think the Ravens drafted Correa with the mindset that he'll be playing ILB. But that's for another thread. Also, when bringing up the TEs, OLBs, and other developmental players on the roster, well, that's the whole point for relying on Perriman, I mean you trust Judon, Pierce, Za'Darius, Powers, or anyone else more than Perriman? If we're talking about relying on a young player who will have to step up, then I would like to know who you would have in mind, because I doubt that they've shown a whole lot either. I'd rather rely on Perriman and make investments at OLB/CB and possibly keep BW then rely on Judon, Pierce, Waller, or anyone else for that matter and take an $8M cap hit. It's also not the only position where we have young and unproven players at, TE is a unit but one that will be relied upon, as is NT if you lose BW, same goes towards DE if you manage to lose guy because then you're left with Urban and Kafusi, after that you can even look at the CB group because you would like to have a #2 there, I like Young but he might be relegated to a slot role. We all know Jimmy's injury history. OLB once Doom is cut you're left with ZD, Judon, and Correa, oh, and we'll need a C too because Zuttah is not cutting it anymore. I can legit say that Center is up there with OLB/CB in terms of priority and you might be forced to draft one early because there's no FA's there, after that you have Jensen. Do you feel any sort of confidence in any of these guys? Because I have none in them. As far as getting Bouye, Ingram, or Perry, I wouldn't go to that conclusion. Usually, I don't think the Ravens would go after paying them, but this year is different compared to last, truth is, a lot of people might be heading towards the hot seat, there's going to be more urgency this year. I wouldn't be shocked if the Ravens cracked open the checkbook for someone. If CB/OLB are a position of weakness for the Ravens again next season, then someone is going to be getting some serious heat. It's been 3 seasons now where the secondary has failed this time and Biscotti was pounding the table for a pass rusher. Maybe Ingram is very unlikely but I don't think anyone is paying Perry, Johnson, or Bouye mega contracts. GB front office runs similar to ours, they'll prioritize players and if they have to let someone go they'll have no problem with that. To get the best you're going to have to pay the best. If the Ravens want to get better now, they might have to pay or put out a patchwork secondary again because a 2nd round CB might not even solve your problems there. Getting a cheap and proven vet WR is not going to come easy this year because I can't think of anyone there. I would like to know who you have in mind personally. The only guy I could think of is Brandon Marshall but I don't know how much interest the team would show in a rental player who keeps bouncing around for unknown reasons.
  18. What I've noticed about those QBs, specifically Ryan and Big Ben is that outside of their #1s, they're not very impressive in terms of the depth of their wide receivers. I'm not blown away by Sanu, Rodgers, or Hardy, it's just that Julio and AB are just so good that it does a whole lot for other guys and it goes a long way. I think the Ravens need someone who can attack those short/intermediate routes on a consistent basis, who can body CBs and win inside position time and time again. In a sense, I would honestly say that Anquan Boldin was close to a perfect fit for what you wanted to do in a WCO. He ran the vertical and shallow routes with ease and dared CBs to press on him, and when they did, they could just couldn't get physical with Anquan. Steve Smith is another guy, but I don't think he had the size/height of Anquan to just high-point the ball and take it away from defenders like you saw him do against New England. Even though I think Steve Smith Sr. is a better player, and definitely fit this offense, I think the Ravens need someone else outside of Smith Sr. who can do the same things, sadly no one stepped up to the plate in that role outside of Smith. If the Ravens can't win on the short/intermediate routes, then you can forget about having a good offense come 2018.
  19. I don't like the idea of moving him back to the inside. I get that he clearly wasn't ready for the outside but let the guy stick in one place and develop there.
  20. I'm hyped for Perriman and Dixon. I think both guys are going to be great for this offense.
  21. If we keep Wagner then I'll go with the offensive line. I think Lewis improves and Stanley has a true breakout year. I also expect the new C addition would be a boost.
  22. As I said in the previous post in regards to Wallace deal, you get that cap hit down, then I'm certainly ok with keeping him. Also, you cut Wallace and replace him with Britt, then you can still go out there and get a WR early in the draft while saving money on having a cap hit from the both of them which would contribute to getting someone else. The nearly $6M you would get would go a long way in getting a Melvin Ingram or a AJ Bouye. I'm okay with going Pass Rush high, but do we need another young pass rusher on this roster? We're already trying to develop three at the moment with Judon, Correa, and Smith(Though I wouldn't be surprised if Za'darius was cut). I think what we need is a guy who can rush the passer, doesn't matter if he's 25, 29 or 30. I don't like the idea of developing four especially given that fourth guy isn't a very sure thing, but you got to trust the process and I understand that, however I think the ideal situation is someone who is going to contribute now because we got close to nothing from Correa and that hurt us dearly. FWIW, I'm fine with paying up for a Nick Perry or a Melvin Ingram. Even at CB I'm fine with paying up for AJ Bouye or a Logan Ryan even if it comes to that, though getting a young CB wouldn't be a bad idea there. It's a lot of money but if you want the best then you're going to have to pay for the best. Signing Bwill, Marshall, Joe Haden and a rotational pass rusher sounds like a stretch to me. I know it's an example, but lets throw out a hypothetical, if we let go of Bwill and choose Wagner, than that would make Timmy Jernigan an absolute high priority. That would somewhat also make Lawrence Guy one too. Let's not forget that 5th year option we'll need to pick up on Mosley in addition to finding a replacement at RT or maybe even LG if we want to shift Lewis to RT.
  23. I said this in another thread but the Jimmy Smith injury ended it for this defense. Last guy outside of Suggs we could have afforded to lose. Doom is a guy I can imagine is a cut-return. The injury news makes sense and Biscotti did come to his defense, but he's too expensive for this season. I can't think of any other guy who is a cut-return outside of him. Maybe Webb but I don't think he gets cut.
  24. Nice, that's one less road game.
  25. Wish you the best Orr, thanks for being an awesome player and person.
