  1. Call the loss of this game however you see it... We scored field goals when we needed touchdowns...maybe We scored a touchdown too fast near the end...that's grasping at straws The defense let us down...In the 4th qtr we gave up 21 points, so yes the defensive Scheme let us down but in the other qtrs the defense got 2 turnovers The real issue we can't get past...We beat ourselves in a winnable game due to Repeated coaching errors on zone coverage and failed to Adjust! What's worse, we did the same thing in the game vs Philly, Dallas, New England and even Cincinnati (we survived Philly and Cinci in the 4th qtr BTW) When you see a paid professional or anyone for that matter continue to repeat the same process anticipating different results over and over with the same outcome, it's not the bad habits or tendencies of the players it's the stubbornness and unwillingness to admit you're making a mistake and not correcting it. In short, the players didn't lose the game for us, the coaches lost the game for us in particular...Dean Pees. I won't watch next season if he's still the D coord, I literally can't take anymore meltdowns based on his ineffective Zone coverages that we can Not execute. Stubborness and Myopia
  2. its the scheme and the players and it All starts with Dean Pees and he has done this to us for 4 years straight without being held accountable....I have developed an unhealthy visceral disgust for his appalling performance and I'm in disbelief as to how he is not Gone. The performance of the defense is on His shoulders, if the players aren't getting it done pull up guys from the practice squad or grab a free agent or convert fast linebacker into a D lineman to get some frkng pressure on the oppositions qb or just do something for crying out loud. Not Pees, same scheme every week...not identifying or correcting the problems so with years under his belt he has way worn out his welcome. Somebody buy him a 1 way ticket out of Baltimore, Ill pay for the first class upgrade.
  3. Dean Pees has been allowed to do this to our Team for 4 years straight without being held accountable....21 points in 1 quarter is inexcusable, I don't care about all of our other losses, this was a chance to show we had Identified, addressed, corrected and solidly fixed our defensive issues that have lost us so many games...almost to include blowing a17 point lead against Philly....???? Mark Trestman got his pink slip, why is Pees still on this team? He's a parasitic load and his influence is subversive to his team's good morale and discipline. you want to help Ravens fans get past this disappointment, Fire Pees...he is not getting it done! How many more close games are we going to run crappy prevent zone Defenses on in the waning minutes of critical games? Just get rid of him please........
  4. To say that it was a hard loss to swallow or that emotions ran high in a game of inches just does not get me past losing another Winnable game that meant SO much with our destiny in our Capable hands. We literally snatched defeat from the jaws of victory...giving up 21 points in 1 quarter is as inexcusable as it is incomprehensible. It goes without saying but this is going to hurt, as it should, for a long time and Not because we left anything on the field or we got robbed or we didn't try or put forth enough effort...we arguably surrendered the victory due to a fear based mentality and strategy, playing not to lose versus playing to win. In short, we ultimately beat ourselves...this is not taking Anything away from the heart and the resolve of our players it is simply saying to the Ravens coaching staff, you screwed your team in This game and you should find or borrow a backbone and profusely apologize to every player!
  5. you are so right about the Pathetic Coaching and the True disappointment coming from previous losses this year...NY Giants, Pats, Jets, Washington (inexcusable), Oakland (embarrassing and also inexcusable) and if anyone was watching we nearly gave up a 17 point lead to Philly (I almost wish they had won, they showed way more heart) by the way in 3 games we lost including the last one to Pittsburgh we got ATE UP over the middle. NY Giants...Odell Beckham, Patriots ...Chris Hogan, Steelers....Jesse James (it honestly was Not Antonio Brown who was killing us oh did I forget to mention Eli Rogers, he gutted our secondary, Brown just stole the show). Anyway, same issues all season...never identified, never properly addressed, never corrected and obviously never fixed. Why was this....Only Dean Pees can answer that question, he's supposed to be accountable for his defenses production or lack there of...how about it Dean....you got any answers? I don't want to get banned from the boards so I'll stifle my visceral antipathy for that ineffective, parasitic load on our team. My favorite incident all season was seeing Mark Trestman get canned, you want to make some Ravens fans get past this disappointment...show Pees the door!

  7. you said it perfectly, Dean Pees needs to sit down ID, address and Correct, fix and keep it fixed on the secondary. All previous losses aside our Defense gave up 21 points in 1 quarter of football. the idiocy of some journalists and commentators asking "did we score too soon"? Are you kidding me? Also, second guessing our red zone scoring and the decision to just take field goals...points on the board are points on the board and you take what the defense gives you because that is just football, no one is entitled to score touchdowns. The last 5 weeks since we got rid of that toxic OC we had we have been putting up more points than we had All season...so where was the problem, special teams...offense....or the defense? Not only did our secondary Not get it done but our front 4 haven't created real pressure or sacks all season. Dean Pees, I'm calling you out...Marc Trestman got his pink slip and the offense has improved immeasurably...Dean Pees, it's time to find new employment.
  8. Ravens Nation, I am very proud of our performance this season and remember we were not expected to even be close in the Steelers game so keep your heads up, you scared the he!! out of Pittsburgh in that game. They are very lucky right now and they Know it. We battled through injuries, coaching changes, more injuries, one of the TOUGHEST schedules in the league and even the tragic deaths of team members. Think about this...we played Oakland, Patriots, Steelers, Giants, Redskins and Miami...all teams going to the playoffs (minus NY) and beat two of those teams and had it not been for some 4th qtr mistakes (that we Will Identify, learn from and Correct) we could have and should have won all those games. Raiders...winnable game, Steelers...winnable, Patriots...winnable, Giants...winnable. Philly....We won but we nearly lost a 17 point lead, we should have learned and corrected but we didn't, now we must go back and look at what broke down....the over the middle crap, Odell Beckham, Jesse James, Chris Hogan. Teams did it to us all season so, Dean Pees....WHY and HOW is this repeatedly happening? Identify and correct the issue so we aren't plagued by huge busted plays in the 4th qtr where our team Deserved to leave with the victory! Also, OC we Have a legit running game...use it and when its working chew the clock up and keep using what's working, stop trying to get cerebral, we had Pittsburg's back against the wall with the run, chewing up clock, wearing out the D then started throwing ....why? We have to figure out WHY our OCs Continually stop using what's working. Sometimes the defense just can't stop the run even if they Know it's coming...going against tendencies and mixing it up just because the odds and probabilities say you can't do something over and over with success isn't always right. You got this Ravens, you have a Right to feel disappointed because you played your hearts and souls out, you also need to know you're one step closer to figuring it out, just learn from your mistakes...continue to build on what you have, reframe and see if there's any details you've overlooked and focus on the process not the outcome....you played like champions all season, never got blown out, never sat down, never quit, never abdicated, and never pointed fingers....that's something to be Proud of and Carry Forward!
  9. I like where you're going with that idea, they would do that Just to spite us. The unintended bad side of that equation is that it would probably work with NE, they would find a way to incentivize him or get him drinking the Pats kool aid and he would probably return one on us in a playoff game after we dug and clawed our way out of the cellar. Man I am sorry, yesterday's game and All the tragedy of errors, I mean Go for it on fourth down all season when it doesn't really matter except for a W in the win column and JH goes for it with reckless abandon but in a game that Really, Really Matters in every respect of the word and John choses instead to kick in the red zone on a fourth a short scenario versus a team that is notoriously an offensive Touchdown producing team....Come on Man....Aghhhhh!
  10. I totally agree, that jump was timed, studied and exploited at the Worst possible time to steal our momentum back to back, first the safety thanks to DH and then the announcers kept talking about how accurate he was and never missed, etc., etc. The thing about this game is that once Jimmy Smith went down they carved our secondary apart just like they did last year....we have to rebuild our secondary after this season.
  11. Ok now this is ones just a straight up rant... Tom Brady, why is it that Just your story about being a 6th round pick and 199 overall matters more than anyone else's ability to overcome adversity? If you can even call that overcoming adversity or simply just being initially undervalued because you were an unproven college quarterback coming out of Michigan? However you perceive it, Brady's arrogance and inability to simply identify with the word humility or properly define adversity in the real world has him actually believing his effort and his accomplishments are more valuable than his peers...he really believes that he is better and that he deserves to win and nothing illustrates that more clearly than when he loses. In addition it shows when he is corrected and when he has to admit fault or to making a mistake, and that's why so many people despise him but can't really put their finger on why. Special rules have been made for this athlete, special exceptions for protecting the QB, and for a short time special exceptions to formations until the league agreed it was gaming on the system, also known as cheating and we all know where that road has led with an asterisk based franchise. Hey Brady, there's plenty of exceptional athletes out there who went even later than you and they don't walk around with a big ugly chip on their shoulders, they do their job and do it well and don't think they're better than those around them....Get over yourself, you're a privileged athlete with a strong work ethic and God given talent, nothing else!
  12. Second best release of the season, followed only by the canning of Mark Trestman....can anyone out there tell me how he was ever even considered for the OC position? If you cite his record in Chicago or in the CFL, those are Not good sources to validate his credibility or prowess. In my opinion, He cost our team more than a losing season last year he almost knocked us down into a hole this season that we nearly didn't climb out of. Some of his old tendencies are still infecting the team's Offensive potential i.e., run-pass balance. Run the ball, even if it's only getting you 1 or 2 yards...keep the defense honest. Best thing to do at a defense coming at you relentlessly...run right at them, chances are you'll eventually run right past them. We are just way too predictable with this dink and dunk pass scheme.
  13. Thank you for releasing DH, he has been a liability and a parasitic load on the team's cap all year. I'm not blaming the loss on him but we stopped the opposition twice on 3 and outs then Hester's cowardice and indecision stole our momentum and simultaneously energized NE to bring the house on the goal line. That moment and the ensuing blocked FG (still SMH) followed by his inability to stand tall and properly field yet Another kick, put our backs against the wall and in a hole that we could not ascend. My only question is Why they kept this washed up, ineffective player on the roster for as long as they did...JH was a special teams coach for crying out loud...what did they see in this guy, In a future potential sense of the word? Thanks for screwing our team Hester, go sell vacuum cleaners now.
  14. If anyone is questioning the long overdue decision to fire Marc Trestman then they're simply not watching the games or paying attention to football in general. He was given way more chances than he deserved...his cerebral versus "lets use what's working" approach has Cost the Ravens countless close-call victories over the past 2 seasons as it Cost the Bears previously. He might have been lucky in the CFL but he doesn't belong in the NFL...not to worry though, he will do great as a Hallmark greeting card author. Good riddance! Still baffled at how he ever got recommended for the job in the first place...Come on Ozzie, Come on John...learning has Got to occur quicker than this next time.

  16. Fans Booing at a home game when their team has a winning record...that pretty much sums it up. Get Trestman off the payroll and as an incentive, pass the hat around the locker room and offer to move him back to where ever he wants to retire and watch the money pile up like a 90s hedge fund.
  17. Trestman you are embarrassing the Ravens just like you did to Chicago and the way you are doing it is Subversive. If you don't know what that means it means you are destroying the morale of the team. Did you see the players faces??? They were absolutely mortified and looked dazed and Hopeless. I don't know what its going to take but John needs to find his resolve and take a page out of the Bills playbook and fire the OC he's nothing more than a parasitic load on the team's morale. Just the mere sight of him bolsters confidence in our opponents, HOW is he not being told to render his resignation at this point? John, you should place the blame where it is due...this game was lost because of management's incomprehensible, inexcusable decisions and it is Not an isolated incident.
  18. Our team could Easily be 5 and 0 right? Let's be serious and real here...We could just as Easy be 0 and 5. The only reason we are stay in games and have a chance to score is our Defense and that's why Mosley tried to score off the Int and not just simply down the ball and give it to the offense. There is no faith in Trestman's "Look at how smart I am by trying to do what you're not expecting including throwing to cookie-jar hands Wallace until something sticks mentality" offense. Not going for the field was, as a previous post read "Stupid" not aggressive or savvy...that field goal could have at Least put us in the position to tie and go to overtime. Placing Blame on Special Teams was a pathetic excuse by the way.
  19. Marc Trestman has Got To Go. He's soft, he tries too hard to be cerebral and consistently doesn't use what's working. He's also very soft and just honestly doesn't belong in the NFL. Seriously look at what he did in Chicago, listen to some of his old interviews..."are you going to bring victories and a tradition of winning to Chicago? Marc T...Weeeeeel I don't know about that but every day will be good and joyous" John please do your job and get this geek off the field that belongs to men before someone above your level cans you for not doing your job. Show Mike Wallace the door while you're at it and save some money on the salary cap and frustration from all his drops...Garbage!
  20. We stand to set a new single season record for collective losses by 3 or less points in the last 60 seconds of a game. I get that everyone had a few more plays in them and no one blames anyone else on the team for making mistakes or throwing picks but I am sick and tired of watching our defense lose gut wrencing games in the last fleeting seconds. Dean Pees has to go, his schemes and obvious lack of discipline have gone on far too long without consequences. I'm done watching my team embarrass themselves and I'm no longer defending them. Until Pees is replaced I'm not watching another game, because our defense will inevitably let us down when it counts the most. What upsets me the most is this incompetent individual has been allowed to stay in Baltimore after he embarassed in vs the Pats in the playoff...John, what does this guy have on you? Do your job Coach...please!
