When I said nailing everything, I was talking about the draft so far. Not the IR lists of the past two years.

But since you want to bring that up, the reason we've had problems with our secondary for the past two years is because almost the entire secondary has been out injured during that time. We've been sourcing DBs from local high school JV squads the past couple years, just so we could have enough warm bodies on the field to avoid a forfeit. I'm as irritated by the injuries as anyone, and I want the organization to get to the bottom of it. But what do you propose? We already have 7 CBs on the roster, and I believe 5 safeties. You want us to use early picks to draft even more!?! I realize that your knowledge of football is on par with your expertise in rocket sciences so let me clue you in....there's a maximum limit of 53 roster spots. We can't use 25 of them on DBs. Between Smith, Webb, and Weddle, and an assortment of decent B-list players, we're actually pretty well off in that department. We just have to keep them healthy.

Our biggest weakness the past couple years has been the offensive line. Even two years ago, when we had 10th stringers plugged in as starters, we STILL did a pretty good job of shutting down even the Patriots in the playoffs. Or don't you remember that they had to pull out trick play after trick play in order to win that game?

If we're going to have a $22 million QB, then we HAVE to have a line that can protect him. And since we couldn't afford to keep KO, getting Stanley was really the only acceptable option.

I'm sure factoring in that those two teams weren't a competitive threat to the ravens.. Didn't figure into the equation..

  2. I guess we will be contending for a top 10 pick again next year! Lol

Rookie left tackle/Left guard - A downgrade to osemele
Secondary is the same as last year, burnt toast.
Correa/kaufusi - guys who won't start or make any impact at all this season. Will be rotational pass rushers at best.

Can't wait to see the bums Ozzie takes with his 4th & 5th round picks! Remember last year he took Nick Boyle & tray walker over stefon diggs! LMAO

They are just finding good, tough, smart players that love football and are very coachable.. They will be made in the offseason.

Panthers have no plan to try to re-sign Josh Norman on the open market ..... Welcome to the Ravens.

and just exactly where do you think the Ravens can find money to get him?  They couldn't even afford

him for HALF of what he's asking for.

Steve smith... Be on a winning team... And pay him most of his money in a signing bonus like we've been doing.. After he stays on the market long enough and sees no one is biting at what he wants.

And he wants a long term deal.. which the ravens are good at working out.

“Injuries are muscle imbalances,” Saunders said. “They’re overuse or fatigue. How can we look at that, get ahead of it, monitor it and really try to stop the nuisance injuries?”

That is so true, it is like with an ACL, you can't just rehab the knee, you have to rehab the whole body to get the connective muscles that affect the knee like the back, ankle and leg muscles involved too.   It is like with a hamstring injury, you have to have the lower leg and butt muscles all in balance with the upper leg muscles for maximum performance and to prevent an injury to the hamstring.   So glad to see a revamp of the training and conditioning program...it is about time!

    Yes you are 100% correct!!

Good stuff. Sounds like it will be a big help.

  6. I can't wait to see what he does vs Pittsburgh. He has to be so motivated. This article didn't really touch on it, but he was pretty offended when the Steelers gave Brown a lucrative extension instead of him. It turned out to be a masterstroke by the Steelers, but I'm sure Wallace still feels some strong resentment. He is going to be boo'ed loudly first time back in Pitt! Can't wait!

That is why he went to the dolphins to get that contract. Pro Bowl caliber players don't 'need' added motivation.

  7. Mike Wallace, Bershad Perriman, Steve Smith, Kamar Aiken that's a nice group of recievers for Joe to throw to and Campanaro too nice :-) Now if they somehow can get Ramsey he could play corner opposite of Jimmy Smith and hope Noah Spence falls to the second round for passrushing you looking at a pretty good defense. :-)

Sounds good. We need to sign an offensive lineman in free agency.

  8. Really don't like this signing. Not because Wallace is a bad player, but because it's way too much money for him, especially for a team that constantly struggles with cap room. Mike Wallace is good, but all he does is run down-field fast... If that what the Ravens are looking for they already have a taller, faster WR in Perriman.

Agreed. Overspent on him. I'm sure there is a clause in his contract about production. Our WRs right now combined with our TEs, provided pitta comes back healthy. Going to be dangerous. Now we need to sign an OL. So we can draft either a corner or pass rusher high.
