Missing the playoffs again may have proven something.
Ray Lewis. Ed Reed. They were why our 2008, 09, 10, 11, and 12 teams were so special. They were the real mentors, the real leaders. Because since they left, Harbaugh has taken us to the playoffs once. Once. Our offense finally had it going, and our D wet the bed. If Harbs stays as coach, at least fire Pees and don't hire a friend!
I also have this has a loss, and had it a loss even when we were 3-0. I do however have hope for an upset special.
So I have a prediction.
IF we lose to New England, we have to run the table in order to make the playoffs, and it will be very very tight.
IF we beat New England, we're almost certainly going to run the table up to week 17 which will be a sitting backups game.
Steelers play down to weak opponents, so i expect them to drop at least two more games this year IMO. Not even counting against us.
Good: Winning, Flacco not being injured, our Defense in the first 3 quarters
Bad: Defense going soft in the 4th Quarter, Offensive Playcalling
Ugly: Phantom Penalties that stalled several Ravens drives.
Refs are flagging us for every little thing, and the Giants have gotten away with several blatant horse collars, a false start, and one DPI that I've seen.
Typical Ravens football - even in our SB year - has a slump somewhere in the game. As long as it goes away and we get hot again.
Mission Accomplished. Now to get back to winning.
At least under Cam we could blow out a divisional rival.
I'm not normally the one to say this but... I'm saying it.
Trestman has to go. Period. We have the team. We need the right plays called. We should have been pounding the ball the whole 2nd half and instead... well... you saw the game.
Just now, Militant X 1 said:That statement is said after every game so far M3. And it hasn't happened yet!
So, if it is not Trestman and our execution is poor...execution is on the personnel..no?
Was our execution poor? By my count, Flacco and the offense were on fire most of the game. Then our ROOKIES make *rookie* mistakes that everyone makes, and Jacksonville played defense because their season is already on the line. You do know sometimes that happens without it meaning our team is bad, right?
Perriman has played all of three NFL games and people want him benched. Guys... you're being ridiculous.
I don't want the burden of a perfect season tbh. I'd rather we get that one painful loss out of the way. But not at home. If Oakland's defense is bad, and our offense gets into a pattern like we did in the first half vs. the Jags, I say we win and control the game.
The Good - We won, our defense, first half Flacco
The bad - Second Half Flacco/Jaguars making determined plays to get the ball back
The awful - "Ravens fans" bashing their own team.
If they don't clamp down, this is gonna be like the Ravens-Steelers Divisional a few years ago >_<
I'm rooting for Carolina. But I have this feeling the game turns in the second half if the Panthers aren't careful.
I want the Pack to win because Dan Snyder is disgusting, Chris Culliver is dirty, annnnnd once upon a time a previous owner insulted those of us in Maryland.
Anyone else feel bad for the Vikings because they basically got Cundiffed?
Bengals played dirty football. We may hate the Steelers but the Bengals have 0 class. Browns have more class than the Bungles.
That is indeed worrisome about Suggs.... very worrisome.
The last time we played the AFC and NFC East, we won the Superbowl.
Mark my words, it will happen again.
The good - We beat the Steelers
The bad - It wasn't on prime time
The ugly - The referees are morons.
Who were the third strings on defense?
Did anyone actually expect our defense to stop the freaking Seahawks?
I would have expected this to be a shootout if we were healthy because that's what it would have had to have been.
When your defense is on the field for the majority of the game they're going to give up plays. Sorry but true.
Yes, let's fire everyone because our third string team couldn't beat a 1st string team.
Over reaction by thin skinned "fans."
It would be funny if we picked this game to play lights out.
We did enough to win against a horrible Dolphins team, even if we're injured and stand no chance against big playoff teams.
The refs did enough to bury our season.

You don't score multiple touchdowns, and no interceptions (I don't count that last one,) with a chance to win the game at the end and not have it going. Our offense was bad this year, but it got its act together tonight. Our D is fully to blame IMO.
And it's Christmas, let's not be insulting towards each other, k?
