  1. Why can't we be happy with the win?
  2. Our offense played lights out for a regular season game at Heinz Field. Which is to say, we did find the end zone. Our run game worked. And the combo of Flacco, Aiken, Forsett, and Tucker saved our season with a good defensive showing. Even if we had perfect offense the past three games, we'd have struggled because this is the Steelers. Remember, our foes are not pushovers when we're in their house. They never are.
  3. We'll be 2-3 after that, 3-3 after 49ers.
  4. Be happy with the win, look forward to a beatdown of the Browns. Stop being down on a WIN. That's not how Ravens fans act. That's how Browns fans act. That's how Jets fans act. We're a better fanbase then that.
  5. You can be the pessimist hater. I see us going 4-4 or 5-3 this first half IF we win tonight. I also see us going potentially 5-3, 6-2, maybe even 7-1 in the second half depending on how our team grows and how injuries go. Hope is still alive.
  6. What are the odds that if we beat the Steelers and look convincing, the same people demanding we trade Steve Smith, fire Harbs, tank the season turn around and say "SUPERBOWL CONTENDERS11111111?" Temper expectations, but have hope. If we win, we're back. We have a chance to make some history and fight for the division.
  7. If you are a Ravens fan who thinks we should intentionally hurt our team... You are not a Ravens fan.
  8. I feel like if we have a down season, okay it sucks for us, worse for the team, but then next year we rebound, because that's what we do. But imagine if we did go the distance. We'd be the team that overcame the adversity. We'd be THE team to do it. If any team can do it, it's the Baltimore Ravens.
  9. I still say the Ravens win the Division if we right our ship. Here's why. Week 4: Ravens at Steelers - W No Big Ben. This should be our game. We should win it. No Excuses Game. Backs Against the Wall. We have no options but to win and get better or lose and really implode. Chiefs at Bengals - Chiefs SHOULD Win. Yeah, Bengals defend their turf, but despite a couple of losses, they're one of the more dangerous teams in the league IMO. Awesome defense will batter Dalton around - or should. The offense will get it going I think. Browns at Chargers - Chargers SHOULD Win. Neither team is good IMO. Chargers look like crap, Browns are crap. Chargers are the home team, the Browns lose. I'd be shocked if the Chargers lost. Week 5 - Browns at Ravens - W. We don't lose to the Browns at home no matter how crappy our year is. If we lose to the Browns this year, we're not going to the playoffs. Period. Seahawks at Bengals - Seahawks SHOULD win. Does anyone think Dalton and AJ Green can beat the full Legion of Boom? I don't. Steelers at Chargers - Maybe? Chargers can win, but Vick will have had over a week to prep for this Week 6 - Ravens at San Fran - W. Assuming we win over Steelers and Cleveland... San Fran has been awful this year. The Raiders are a better team than the 49ers. I think we win against San Fran, Jimmy Smith really goes off and picks passes meant for T. Smith. Bengals at Bills - Bills SHOULD win. Tyrod knows the Bengals. Rex Ryan knows the Bengals. The Bills have a crushing defense. I don't see Dalton winning this one either. He's a mediocre QB whose headcoach knows the Ravens. The Bills aren't the Ravens, Marvin Lewis doesn't figure out Buffalo. Broncos at Browns - If the Broncos lose this game, the Earth is the center of the universe, and the Patriots aren't cheaters, and Peyton Manning has multiple SB Wins... as in... the Broncos won't lose this game. Cards at Pittsburgh - Yeah, I don't see the Cards falling to Michael Vick. Best case scenario? After Week 6, we're 3-3. Two Wins in the Division. Steelers are 3-3, Bengals are 3-3, and the Browns are... 1-4. We would no longer be out of contention for the North. Say we lose to the Cardinals in Week 7, we'd still have a shot because unless KC has a meltdown, they'll win against a Big-Ben-Less Steelers, and the Browns will still be in the hole if they beat the Rams. We come back home to SD. We beat SD. We can go on our bye at 4-4, 5-3, and possibly even in the lead in the Division depending on the outcome of Bengals vs. Steelers. Hope is very much alive. If our players execute, the division falls into our laps. I'm not convinced that the Ravens of the past 3 weeks are the team we'll see in the next 13.
  10. I want to see Maxx Williams earn his purple on Thursday. We drafted him for a reason.
  11. Flacco showed some fire against the Bengals, and he spoke spitfire in his press interview yesterday. Win or lose, (and we better damn beat the Steelers and get rolling if we want our season to be salvaged) my respect for our QB has gone even higher.
  12. I'm still hopeful. It won't be easy Thursday. Like I said elsewhere. This is the No More Excuses Game. Not from the Offense. Not from the Defense. I don't care how. I just care that we do. We either implode, or we explode. We implode, and the season is over. We explode, and people will realize that maybe all it takes is execution, and we become the scrappy underdogs that overcome the odds. One of the two will happen, mark my words. If we implode on Thursday, I don't expect anything more than an 8-8 season at best. If we explode on Thursday, I don't expect anything less than an 8-8 at worst. We ruin their Bettis night, we find ourselves by punching a hurting rival in the mouth? I say we streak in to our bye, or at least only drop one more game before our bye.
  13. He might have just been in an out of sorts mood. For obvious reasons.
  14. Aggravating and frustrating? Yeah. But the way I see it, even if it is with a second string QB, if we can beat the Steelers, we gain some confidence, some momentum, and then become dangerous. The rest of the league should want us winless, because once we have momentum, if we treat every game like a playoff game we're gonna be lethal.
  15. Nah, our defense shows up, crushes them, we scatch our heads, and then our D sucks the next three weeks.
  16. Knocking on wood. But I see a Ravens 34 Steelers 28 game. Why this score? Because our offense will play lights out, and our D will make a few crucial stops/turnovers, but that's because Vick isn't good. Bell and a few good passing plays will however make the game a nightmare for part of the game, but we'll pull away. That's my hope.
  17. We win this game or its over. I predict we either win and start a winning streak that makes people forget about 0-3, or we lose and we can stick a fork in it.
  18. We lost because our Defense can't play when it matters. We lost because Osemele committed a game killing penatly. That's how I see it. Our D steps up, we win. Osemele doesn't grab the face mask, we likely drive in for the game winning TD, and we win. If we beat the Steelers, I still have faith. No Big Ben, so it will be a confidence booster. We beat Pitt, we beat the Browns, we streak, we're good. If we fail to beat a washed up Vick, then we need to kick Dean Pees out of Baltimore and hire Chuck Pagano when he gets ousted from Indy.
  19. A buttocks injury. At least we can say nobody's butt was hurt this season. Bengals on the otherhand....
  20. We've had all of two games, and one of them we looked like a number 1 D. I doubt our D is truly as bad as week 2.
  21. The Raiders from Sunday have only played two games, how can we know that they're a bad team, let alone that we're bad/good? It takes more than yanno... two games to decide that.
  22. I *do* think we tend to play "better" in general against our rivals. When I say better, I mean that the games are rarely a blow out. Both our losses to the Bengals last year were close. Our blowout loss to the Steelers almost never happens. The good thing about our rivals is we always play them hard, and thus we know them better. That gives them an edge too, but it also gives us an edge, which is why I am not losing hope UNTIL we lose one or both division games coming up. Suggs may never play another game for the Ravens if things go bad in the off season, but you know what? I want him on the sidelines to give folks a speech just like Ray did when he was injured. Show up and get people motivated. I think that's something that we need from our leadership. I wish the Bungles game was prime time, then we'd have an edge since Dalton lays an egg on night games usually.
  23. I think its very possible that we play inspired, the Bengals don't and we steal this one. IF and only IF we beat these guys and the Steelers will I be convinced we can make waves. I'm not even gonna watch this with my folks this week. I want to say in my little shelter so I can rage out if necessary and distract myself with something else if we get our butts kicked.
  24. People jumping for Harbaugh to go need to go away. Fair weather fans, wow.
  25. Why are we crapping on our offense. ANY OTHER GAME 33 points would be a win. Our defense dropped it. Our defense cost us.
