  1. No one should criticize the NFL if the game is flexed. We are 4-9, out of the playoffs. If the game is moved to 1.p.m. so be it. Seriously, I wouldn't want to watch the same that happened yesterday on national T.V. It would be embarrassing.
  2. Where we are right now, our passing game is bleak. More pick6's than TDs. We run the ball. With our crippled O Line it isn't going to be easy. Allen and West make their holes and keep moving. They just might. The one bright spot on the offense is watching these guys run the ball. Hoping it can happen. This game will prove their worth. The passing game with Schaub Clausen relate to graveyard humor.
  3. No friends in business memo: The Ravens have Forsett, Taliaferro, Allen and West as running backs coming back next year. The greater part may say " I hate to cut that guy not him!" So what do we do?
  4. Chris Matthews may have jaw dropping moves we've never seen before. He may exhibit eye popping catches; the only problem is that Flacco underwent an ACL MCL operation yesterday so maybe next September. With what we have back there heaving the pigskin, the Seahawk secondary will grab onto any gift wrap they can get. They may even say Merry Christmas on their way into the end zone. It's going to be brutal.
  5. Yes, Renner. More than those other two. He'll develop. Renner showed promise in the exhibition games. He should be ahead of Clausen.
  6. We have Clausen. Use him. What difference does it make? We're going to lose with Schaub. That's a gimme. I've seen enough errant passes. It's embarrassing to watch Schaub lose the game after our defense and special teams play good. Both Allen and West give us a potent ground attack. We need a change over center. Clausen on stage.
  7. There is no such thing as a blown call. The zebras are well paid and have had years to practice their worth. They deserve Oscars. Since it is TV, give them an Emmy.
  8. Before Boyle popped these pills, he could have asked someone who had the answer to performance-enhancing drugs violating NFL rules. Like maybe a pharmacist, Raven's medical team, even Steve Bisciotti. Dumb rookie move hurts the team. Innocence doesn't count squat.
  9. We can't have 60 year olds, suffering from dementia, officiating these games. The zebras kill team momentum. It makes me sick to my stomach to hear Goodell "cooking the books"; telling everyone that these officials are so good at what they do. They can't get the coin toss right. The horrible OI call on The TD pass to Brown. The zebras are protected. If not, they would have been up before a senate or congressional hearing long time ago. Schaub has a good pick6 rate. Our red zone offense is abysmal. Why not an end around to the pylon.
  10. Downing, you're saying that Schaub needs to show more growth in his second start. Since this guy's been around, for more than a few years, I doubt very seriously if he will improve his level of play. Even though he hasn't been starting, he was a PB player two years back. I'll wince every time he throws the ball. Schaub has the knack of hitting the defender square in the midsection.
  11. I love a mudder.
  12. After 2012 Super Bowl, the pundits over at nfl wrote almost only on how Kaepernick played so well in the second half and Jim Harbaugh ranting on the sidelines coaching his team on to win. The Ravens won it but Frisco got the write ups. I was amazed. So get use to it. It won't ever change.
  13. The true professional, from the cradle, is born to win. Whether it be a human or a thoroughbred racehorse. Ask American Pharaoh. The coaches may teach the player some in's and out's but never train him or her to win.
  14. The way it should be. You play to win. Very good article. I totally agree.
  15. djk987: It certainly will. But then again John could bus the team down to Chancellorsville next time out on a battlefield excursion rather than Gettysburg.
  16. John Harbaugh is Stonewall Jackson. Jackson led his ragtag troops through one major battle after another. They followed him as their beloved leader. It seems even with insurmountable odds, injuries and cheating refs, the players rally around Harbaugh and fight to win.
  17. Moderator 3: You don't place Forsett on the practice squad. Three younger backs provide more playing years down the line. The only neg is that Terrance continues to be the infant terrible.
  18. Matt Schaub is not Earl Morrall. He has a fast release but lacks the accuracy. Morrall stepped in for Unitas and the fans didn't blink. I don't have that kind of confidence in Schaub. I watched Morrall. He was point on and threw one beautiful fast ball spiral.
  19. Interesting development. If these two guys make yardage what do we do with 4 running backs come training camp.
  20. It galls me down to the very depth of my bowels that the zebras stole our win against the Jags. We would be in the hunt for the playoffs. Instead we have to contend with the NFL (thank you Rodger) telling us that this time the clowns got it right. I rue the day having to watch these Neanderthals control the games.
  21. I'll reserve my opinion until after Pittsburgh. If they produce yards. great. Schaub isn't that accurate. We need to rely on the running game over 100 yds every game here on out. I'm thinking that too many passes, with Schaub throwing the ball, is too risky. After the Browns, the jury's still out.
  22. We should be 5-6 if the zebras hadn't stolen the game from us against Jacksonville.
  23. If this wasn't the Ravens playing tonight, I would be watching reruns of "Downton Abby" on PBS. No matter what Go Ravens. I luv' ya more than Maggie Smith.
  24. I am curious. How not watch? We will be studying and analyzing some of next year's young players. The score does count, but I want to see Terrance West, Daniel Brown, Kaleb Johnson, Robert Meyers, with thighs like his, he needs to play game time to prove his worth. Get him in now. By next year, the Forest Reserve will name a Sequoia after him. All young guys on the field. What the hell took so long. Wasting potential!
  25. billiejean: I completely agree with you. I was only thinking back to the fifteen year old kid, sixty some odd years ago.
